Very unfortunately I have to echo other reviewers. After the engineers visit, I have had to chase Capital repairs several times, and still noone gave me a quote for the parts and repair work, and apparently to get a replacement washing machine quote, I have to wait til Monday (will see if I get it without further chasing).

"Paid call out fee of £94 unfortunately…"
Paid call out fee of £94 unfortunately repair man was unable to fix the washing machine that day as some parts needed to be ordered. I was told I would be contacted with a quote for the parts in a couple of days. I was never contacted with the quote for the parts. I did attempt to call and chase this up to no avail.

Came on time, took photographs for the new part then told me I'd hear the cost of the item from a department Never heard a thing. Several call later no reply. 108 pounds I will be asking my bank to revert as this is not what was contracted.

"Excellent Engineer - 5 stars"
After initially being told that my oven could not be fixed till after Xmas, managed to fit me in on 20th Dec. Engineer very late (4 hours after slot - not his fault as no contingency I think in jobs allocated?) but upon arrival was friendly and professional. Made the wait worth while! Job was tricky / difficult and did not leave till after 8.30pm but have working oven for Xmas Day! 4 stars not 5 due to price of part (cheaper online) but engineer (Adrian) was excellent!!!

"Complete coyboys"
Complete coyboys. Additional charges for parts (their website says no hidden charges), first engineer diagnosed the problem and ordered parts, someone was not available to fix it for 6 weeks (their website they work 7 days a week). Second engineer said the first one misdiagnosed the problem and he couln't fix it. Waited 6 weeks, paid £200 for nothing.
Admin. staff were also very slow and constantly needed chasing.

"Don't trust the free second visit malarkey!"
Sounded like excellent pricing for a repair service: if they need to order a part, the second visit is free (you only pay for the part).
Unfortunately, after the initial visit they made no effort to order the required part and the service went from friendly to basically non-existent. No wonder, I say, the second visit is not important to them because there is no new money to be had. This explains why they have tried every delaying tactic possible. No communication unless you chase at every step.
I wasted £96 on them and ended up buying a new machine.
Never using them again.
PS: to get a sense of their service, just look at all their near identical responses to every negative review!

"Unreliable service, poor communication."
Engineer failed to show on booked day with no communication from Capital. When he did come (a week later) he assured us the appliance could be fixed. Subsequently found out (after two weeks of chasing) that most of the parts are obsolete. Not sure why we were not told sooner. I had to do all the chasing. Was offered a small refund but only if I didn't go ahead with the one part that they were able to fix!

I have just purchased a new built in oven to replace by very old one, The service was excellent from choosing the new appliance to the installation. I could not be happier.

What can I say? this company should’ve avoided at all costs. The chilling unit in fridge went, over 2 months, this is what happened….
- Engineering arrives, puts hand in the fridge, says the fridge doesn’t work. No s*** Sherlock. Did he really just do that?
- 2 week wait for the part, chase.
- 3 weeks later same engineer comes to fix. Gets part out. Wrong part! Grr.
- Orders new part comes 10 days later. Wrong part again!
-Chased, difficult to get an answer as John the manager is always “busy on the other line”. A theme.
- Told but would take months to arrive because the supplier, Caple, doesn’t have it.
- Demand money back and compensation or legal action, part miraculously appears
- 3 weeks later, engineer fixes part.
- 2 hours later, according to instructions, fridge warmer than my cupboard. Grr.
- complain to John, “he’ll call you back”. Chase John, Have a guess what… “on the phone, he’ll call you back”!
And we’re still waiting…
Clueless management, shocking communication internally and with their suppliers. Fundamentally couldn’t care less about their customers - from the top down.
If you can call it a positive, the staff who pick up the phones are always very professional and pleasant. It’s literally the only positive thing I can say about this company.
We have bought new fridge, disposed of the old and given up on this shower.
And Jon, if you’re reading this, we’re still waiting for a call and our money back.

"This company are a disgrace"
This company are a disgrace. They cancelled two appointments at short notice stating two different engineers were sick. Then no other appointment to offer for another week after waiting 12 day. Do not use them they should close.
