I found some of the request confusing and delayed in reporting whether it was complete or not. It asked me to login and I was never told how to login. I don’t know whether I’ve completed the application or not. I was told I could not complete it online without going to a Certified location by the post office.

"Waiting Since Last Friday-UPDATED....."

I contacted HelloGov on Friday, January 22 and they were extremely helpful in assisting me in filling out their application and organizing the information to submit for passport renewal. After sending the payment for their fee, and a scan of all my documents, I was told to wait and a customer support team would review my application and get back to me shortly. Friday afternoon came and went and I was told it was past business hours in their time zone and someone would contact me on Monay. After no contact Monday morning, I was told that someone for sure would contact me Monday afternoon. Monday afternoon came and went and I was told "Tuesday". Tuesday was the same old story and was finally told :"Wednesday". Well Wednesday has now come and gone and I am being directed to a web site to set up an appointment from a choice of various dates next week and the week after. Unfortunately, the main reason I was using HelloGov was because I need to travel on February 21 so I needed to get my passport renewed faster than if I went the traditional route through the regular application process with the US State Department. If I don't get a HelloGov appointment until next week or the week after I will not get my passport in time to make my planned trip and will now have to cancel. I was so impressed with their early performance and now, so disappointed with their follow-up customer service. Be very cautious if you are on a time schedule as they don't seem to be very dependable.

UPDATE: I was contacted by a hellogov associate, Thomas later Friday afternoon and he reviewed my file and had me mail in my passport application and associated documents. He has now been checking in with me regularly and will make sure my application gets processed immediately once recieved. I am very satisfied with the service now and I expect to delete this review entirely in a couple of days.

*****UPDATE*****

As promised, Thomas continued to work with me and gave me frequent updates as to the status of my renewal application. I am happy to report my new passport arrived earlier this week in plenty of time for my upcoming travel. After a rocky start, HelloGov and Thomas in particular, really stepped up and provided very attentive and remarkable service. I will definitely use them again and highly recommend their service to anyone who needs a bit of help or expedited service to apply for or renew a passport. My new rating is a solid 5 Stars!!!!

I would like to recind my review of HelloGov from Jan 2. I was afraid that my procrastination would ruin our family vacation.
This was mostly a misunderstanding on my part. An employee by the name Thomas made such a difference. He stepped in and.quickly made sure everything was taken care of to perfection. Thanks to him we can continue to plan our dream vacation.
