"Fraud"

I just bought a gift card for someone else and yeschef simply automatically renewed me for a year even though I never subscribed. The subscription that I gave away was also canceled in advance. This is fraud. However, after I contacted yeschef via email, no one ever responded. Let alone no money was refunded.

"YES CHEF is a great company to deal with"

After subscribing and using once, though very pleased with the quality of the experience, I determined that I would not use the subscription very often and asked to cancel the subscription moving forward. The representative requested further information on reasons for my cancellation, and quickly refunded the full amount, even though I was willing to pay for my usage. The questions that were asked of me felt like they were from a place of gaining knowledge to improve the company and future customer's experiences. I would fully recommend trying out the experience to see if you like it with no fear of cancellation hassles if you don't.

"Stop Scamming"

Wow! I want to sign up for this SO badly, but based on these reviews and the overwhelming complaints of being charged WITHOUT notice for a second year- I can’t take the chance, as much as I would love to. What is most disturbing is the fact that you do not change or attempt to remedy the problem. Simply send a notice giving your customers a choice to renew and be charged or NOT to renew and NOT be charged!!? it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure this out. You are taking advantage of your customers. It seems that after taking advantage of your customer’s you then offer a 50 % refund? Pretty shady! Shame on you!

"Impossible to cancel and very"

Impossible to cancel and very, very buried auto renew at much higher prices than posted, promo says 180 annual but card was charged 240. Customer service refused to cancel and tried to give only 50% refund, but no access to site to cancel. Content decent but very limited. Only accessed twice as had no options for allergies to recipes.

"Set a reminder for your renewal date for this. "

Thanks for resolving this and refunding this payment. I hope you start to send out renewal reminders to future customers to avoid situations like this. I was charged $423 NZD without any renewal of subscription notice who does that! Even after they have taken the payment there is no receipt as I guess they just hope you won’t notice it going off your credit card!!! I was gifted the membership by a friend last Christmas and had no intention of renewing when I saw how much she had paid for it. I have asked for a full refund and they are VERY slow at replying. The whole thing screams scam even though its promotes well known names like Jamie Oliver as the chefs. Online chat support are never online and don’t reply then when you email support it takes ages for them to reply. I have been emailed by someone called Kevin who says they have an offer for me which is 50% refund of my renewal fee. I have declined this offer and requested full refund and Kevin has now gone on the missing list again. When he replies to my email confirming my refund I will amend this review.

"DOUBLE SUBSCRIPTION TRAP - RESOLUTION UPDATE"

After several messages with the company and initially being offered a 50% refund, I kept insisting on a full refund, which I received in the end. The issue was resolved within a week. I appreciate it.

Last Christmas, I purchased a YesChef gift for a friend, believing it was a one-time purchase for one year access. Without any notice or receipt, they charged my account again this year for a renewal subscription of 175 EUR that I never agreed to.
To make it worse, my friend had to create an account to access the gift. If I hadn’t informed him after they charged me, he would have been unknowingly billed for a renewal too!
This feels like a deliberate attempt to trap customers with unclear auto-renewal policies. There’s no notification before charging, and the subscription terms are not transparent.
I was offered a 50% refund, but being charged for a product I didn’t want—especially one meant as a gift—feels deeply unfair and frustrating.
I cannot recommend YesChef based on this experience and hope they improve their transparency and customer practices.

"I was charged $372.71 plus another…"

Update: finally YesChef has said they have refunded my money $372.71 but not the rendom extra $11.18. But hey, I'm just happy they are refunding $372.71.

STILL NO RESPONSE!! Please refund my money, I did not authorise you to take $372 plus another $11.18 within 1 week. You need to refund my money and stop stalling!!

UPDATE: I can see Yeschef reply to this review but they have NOT refunded my money! They just keep putting off refunding my money. STOP RIPPING PEOPLE OFF!!
I'm surprised the Chefs you are promoting want to put their name to your business model. REFUND MY MONEY NOW PLEASE.

I was charged $372.71 plus another payment of $11.18 on the same day as renewal of subscription!!! I have asked for a full refund. I look on their website and it's $180 p/a which I paid 12 months ago. I think this might be a scam or a very badly run business. I have been emailed by someone called Kevin who says his manager has offered me 50% refund of my renewal fee. Kevin's manager can you please refund my money in full, BOTH amounts you have taken from my account. I did not receive a renewal notice, I haven't used the website as I didn't see value in it.

"If you are anything like me"

If you are anything like me, you are food driven and taste motivated. We think about food differently than most. The legends are on Yes Chef and it's a master class without any filler. Beautiful, humble dishes made by the people who showed us we weren't the only ones obsessed with all things culinary.

I watched Jamie Oliver's Sunday Roast in 3 parts and plan on making it for my friends very soon. I haven't even started on Nancy Silverton yet!

"Passion that is approachable for the home cook."

The Chefs are so passionate about the food they are making, it inspires me! The recipes are approachable, no fancy tools or gadgets needed! The videos are gorgeous and take you through each detail of making the dish. I also love the watching each chef's story to get to know them better.

I've learned so much about so many different things like technics and why things cook the way they cook or what bread needs to rise properly. I'm learning a lot but it's also just freaking inspiring to see these dishes and the chefs come to life! There's so much love and joy through all the videos!
