"So far so good"

So far so good. I have not had any interaction with the store yet. I did get a notification that I had mail along with a picture. That's is far better than my last mail service would do!

Not to do with staples, but the survey company need to rethink the "date of experience " . The date of my experience and the date of the survey happened on the same day. That field need to recognize that and not reject it.

"Response to iPostal's Insulting Response"

Recently I posted a review of iPostal on TrustPilot and gave them 1 star.

Then iPostal replied to my review with a canned response that indicated that they didn’t even read my review. I would like to respond to iPostal’s “response” here. Keep in mind, there does not appear to be a button or link at the end of their response in which I may respond to them, so I have to do it here.

Here’s a brief, truncated version of my original review:

“ . . . One day I received an email, like usual, saying I had a piece of mail in my iPostal box. I was in the area, so I swung by to get my mail. Instead of the usual procedure, where they would just pull my mail and hand it to me, this time the guy behind the counter asked me if I had “reserved” my pickup. I said I didn’t know what he meant, that I was just here to pick up my mail and then I would be on my way. Long story short, this mooncalf said that there’s a procedure in place whereby when you stop by to pick up your mail, you had to “reserve” the time in which you do this (yes, this actually happened). This person even said “go ahead, pull out your phone, use the app, right now.” I said I would do no such thing, going through some stupid procedure that is totally unnecessary JUST to pick up my mail, which is the service that I paid for: I get my email notification, I stop by, they hand me my mail, I’m on my merry way. No muss, no fuss.

This simpleton continued to argue with me, that this is the way it’s done, I said I have been doing this for over a year with iPostal and have never encountered this sort of thing before. It was so inane. I said that this would be like going into a convenience store to get a coffee, than having the clerk say “oh, did you reserve a time for picking this up?” Think about that. That’s *exactly* what that is like.

Finally, another clerk I recognized came by and was visibly flustered by the first clerk’s behavior, asked me my box number, pulled out my mail and handed it to me. BTW, side note, it turned out this letter was from the government about very important matters related to my business, and that if this first cretin had had his way I would have been physically denied access to my own mail, which I have a right to, since I pay for the service. I thanked the 2nd clerk, left.

I wrote to the company management about the incident. I received a condescending reply from someone in “management” that there is a "new and improved" process in place to “reserve” your pick up time for letters as a way to allow iPostal time to “prepare” (their words) my materials. I then wrote to someone in upper management, related what this person said, and told them in no uncertain terms that there was nothing to “Prepare”. What is there to “prepare”? Here’s the procedure: I get my email notification, which means they have already physically placed my mail in my box. ***There is nothing more for them to do.***** No “preparing” needed. This person in upper management replied that they would be reverting to the old policy, which worked quite well.

Because of the absolute demonstrable inanity of this incident, and the fact that this bizarre behavior seems to be happening at many companies, I ended my relationship with iPostal. They had a good business model, if they would have stuck with it. I am a businessperson myself and I understand a very important rule: If It Aint’ Broke Don’t Fix It. For this reason, I give iPostal a minus 5 stars if it would allow me. . . . “

Here is iPostal’s canned response, followed by MY line-by-line response to them:

“ . . . Hi Neo,

Thanks for your review. We are sorry about the issues you described.

Generally, we advise that you use the 'Schedule a Pickup’ feature when you want to pick up mail, whether with the app or from your computer. By doing this in advance, the mail center can get your mail ready ahead of time. That helps the mail center to be more efficient and saves you time. Not only that, but it also helps you avoid unnecessary storage charges. This way, your pickup is in the system and will be marked as delivered when you pick it up. . . . . “
My Response #1:
- iPostal responded “By doing this in advance, the mail center can get your mail ready ahead of time.” This is patently false. As stated in my original review, there is *nothing* to “get ready ahead of time” since THEY HAVE ALREADY DONE THAT, HENCE THE REASON THEY SEND ME AN EMAIL NOTIFYING THAT I HAVE MAIL TO BEGIN WITH. There is nothing to “prepare”. It has already been done. All I do is stop by and they hand me my mail, which is the service I pay for.

Again, there is nothing to “prepare” or “get ready” since that is already done!

"So Far So Good !"

Once everything was set up on the backend....
I sent a test letter to see how it works, and it was really nice to see my envelope appear in my dashboard mail.

"Fast and serious"

It's my first month with the company and so far things are going great. Fast and serious. I think they could improve the interaction to submit the USPS form 1853, but beyond that everything is very good.
