"Voilà 6 mois que je réclame la caution…"

Voilà 6 mois que je réclame la caution versée pour la location d'un véhicule en Turquie via orbit car, a cette heure et après une dizaine de mails . toujours rien! Il ne font absolument rien pour faire avancer les choses. Je ne recommande donc évidement pas.

It was easy to book but unable to contact the rental company to tell about delay, they were shocked that I did not have to pay a security deposit even though my paperwork said that, not orbit car hire problem, they charged extra money being late 1 min

"Nice travels"

Nice and easy transactions and the car itself was great, lovely and clean.
Collected at Belfast International Airport over the few days we had it got us to Antrim (base), Giants Causeway, Titanic Museum and Belfast City Centre, without a hassle.

"Poor communication, dismissive customer service, and a complete lack of accountability."

I would strongly advise caution when booking through Orbit Car Hire, as my experience highlighted poor communication, dismissive customer service, and a complete lack of accountability.

Key issues:
🚨 Unclear and misleading booking details – My rental voucher simply listed "Terminal" as the pick-up/drop-off location on the first page. As a frequent traveler to Paris CDG, I know rental companies operate in Terminal 2, so I didn’t think requesting pick-up from either terminal would be an issue. Only after looking deeper into a 24-page document did I find that the rental was actually in Terminal 1, which is a considerable distance away. This lack of clarity directly contributed to the issue, yet Orbit refused to acknowledge any responsibility.

📞 Rigid, unhelpful, and defensive responses – When I requested to pick up my car at Terminal 2 instead of Terminal 1, I was met with defensive, inflexible responses that immediately placed all blame on me. Instead of attempting to assist, Orbit repeatedly told me I should have noticed the terminal details on the other page earlier. Even though I acknowledge my oversight, clear documentation is essential for frequent travellers juggling multiple details. Their refusal to take any accountability was frustrating.

❌ Failure to provide critical information – After being forced to travel to Terminal 1, I arrived to find that the rental desk was closed, with all customers being redirected to Terminal 2 - the very location I had requested all along. Had Orbit simply checked with their supplier, they could have saved me unnecessary travel time and stress. Instead, they stuck to rigid policies without even attempting to help.

🛑 No customer advocacy - just Ts & Cs recitals - Orbit claims to provide great customer service, yet when something goes wrong, or even what you think is a simple request, they just recite supplier policies instead of trying to help the customer or uphold any empathy or care for the situation. They made no effort to contact the rental company or confirm the feasibility of my request stating they don't 'undermine supplier policies'.

💰 Meaningless refund as a “gesture of goodwill” - After several emails outlining the issue, their only response was to refund me €6.34, which is laughable given the time and effort lost due to their failure to provide accurate information. In that same email, they also patronisingly stated 'this case is closed' and I've received no further correspondence from them. They also failed to understand that actually all I wanted from the off of my original complaint was to be spoken to like a customer they actually wanted, and for them to have taken some accountability to the part they played with a sincere apology. Customer Service 101 to be honest.

📢 Repeatedly gaslighting customers in 1-star reviews - I’ve now seen multiple reviews where Orbit responds in the same defensive, dismissive tone, constantly shifting blame onto the customer rather than taking ownership of their own role in the issue.

Final verdict:
If you're looking for a customer-focused car hire broker, Orbit is not it. Their approach is rigid, defensive, and completely lacking in care or accountability. Instead of helping customers when issues arise, they stick to pointing fingers and hiding behind supplier Ts & Cs.

I don't expect them to take this review seriously, as their standard response is to double down rather than reflect. But if this review helps someone avoid the stress, wasted time, and dismissiveness I experienced, then it’s worth it.

👉 My advice: Book elsewhere until they train their staff to actually care about customers.

The meet and greet turned out to be a shuttle bus , however the shuttle driver and the hire car were great.
