Our selection process was pleasant, the sales associate was attentive and followed up on our end decision to complete the purchase. I am giving two stars due to complications after the purchase. My item failed to deliver due to signature requirement and returned. I never received an email notice or call with instructions. I would have liked the same follow-up and attention that I received during my purchase.

"Worst experience EVER!!"
I ordered a ring from Blue Nile to propose to my girlfriend, but I received the wrong size. From this experience, I learned two things: Blue Nile’s customer service doesn’t listen and seems more interested in discussing money than resolving issues. Additionally, they offer no compensation for their mistakes. Now, I have to wait 4 to 6 weeks to get the engagement ring back and hope it's finally the correct size. It would have been nice if they at least offered a discount or some form of compensation. They ruined what was supposed to be a perfect proposal day, and I can't even get proper help from customer service to resolve the issue.
Part 2 (more detailed update to from my previous review, I am still without a wearable ring!)
I am extremely frustrated with the lack of communication and delays regarding my custom ring size request. I have been waiting for an update for five days now, even though I was initially told the process would take 24 to 72 hours. It has been 120 hours, and I am still without any clear response.
To clarify, I originally ordered a ring in size 9 for my engagement. However, the person who processed my order mistakenly entered size 7. Upon reviewing the invoice, I immediately pointed out the error, and they reassured me that it was corrected to size 9 and sent a new invoice reflecting this. Despite this, when the engagement day came, the ring didn’t fit, and I was devastated.
I spoke with a new representative who suggested we visit a jewelry store to get my fiancée’s exact size, which we did, confirming that she is indeed a size 9. Since it fit perfectly, we decided to go one size larger for comfort. When I informed the representative of this update, I was told it was a 'custom size request' and that I would receive an update soon. Two days went by with no response. When I called again, a different representative assured me the process is usually fast but can take 24 to 72 business hours. Yet, five days later, there’s still no update.
To add to my confusion, I received a response to my previous review stating that the custom size requires special pricing from your team. What does that mean? Can someone please be honest and straightforward with me? I am a client who has spent thousands of dollars, and all I am asking for is a clear and truthful update on why this process is taking so long.
I have a fiancée, but without the ring, it hardly feels like it. This situation is unacceptable, and frankly, I am losing patience. Blue Nile, do better. I expected more from your service, and this has been a deeply disappointing experience.

My first purchase was a single diamond. I had it appraised and was very pleased with the result. I have purchased again but hard to see size of diamonds in settings in a picture. They readily accepted the necklace for return and refunded my money immediately.

Extremely poor customer service. Jewellery was delayed by several days with no clear updates. Resulted in significant anxiety as jewellery didn’t almost arrive for wife’s birthday.

"Love the ring, hate the delivery "
Love the ring. It's so beautiful, well made and the design process was incredible easy. The only reason it's not getting 5 stars was because of the delivery. UPS has been terrible from beginning to end and I'm still dealing with them weeks after delivery because despite an invoice and credit card statement confirming I paid the customs fees, as well as previous phone calls and e-mails, I received yet another request to pay the same amount, with the threat of it being sent to collections. So I probably wouldn't order again, unless I was given the option of a different delivery agency.

I have purchased precious items over the decades from blue nile and they are always the best quality value and most important product and company integrity. (I am not AI--no incentives) I can always trust blue nile. I put todays date as I dont remember the exact day last month.

"Wrong Font, A Pain to Return"
Ordered a ring and it came with the wrong font on the inside engraving. Customer service could not BELIEVE how such a mistake could be made when it allegedly goes through so many quality checks and wanted a picture before authorizing a return! Tried several times to sell me another ring and acted like it was a big deal that they would sell me another ring at the discounted price for which I originally purchased it since that sale had since ended. That’s right - I would have to BUY a NEW ring like the one I originally ordered and they would refund the original purchase price at a later date! Had to repeat twice I didn't want another ring, I wanted a refund. I understand the $25 re-polishing fee for a return and in the end, I'm glad I'm only out that fee and the cost of a new box to send it back (original box wasn't good enough) instead of a thousand dollars, but why should I have to pay a fee for a return that was obviously THEIR mistake? This was my first experience with Blue Nile and it will be the only one. I Will NEVER purchase anything from Blue Nile again. Would give zero stars if I could.
