"Nick was my installer"
Nick was my installer. He was very professional. He cleaned up all debris from the install both inside and out. Trim looked perfect inside and out. He finished around 530 pm. During the night there was a huge storm that brought high winds and a lot of rain. My windows are awesome! Kudos to Nick!!

"Wrong size windows Supervisor said install them anyway."
My father ordered windows for his home and waited months to get them in. He was given 3 different dates of when they would be there and in the end the instal date changed again. Moving to the day of instal and all the windows get ripped out of his house and then the installer realized 4 out of 8 windows were to small. The installer even said he wouldn't put them in his own home this way. When they contacted the Job supervisor he spoke to my father and the installer who both said the windows were the wrong size, off by 3 to 4 inches. The job super told the installer to figure it out and get the windows in because they were done with this job. My father was then told to take pictures and videos and send them into the main headquarters and they would make a decision. Now he cant get anyone on the phone, the installer did the best he could but they had to add 2×4s all around to get the windows to fit and then they couldn't finish trimming them out because the brought the wrong material. My father is retired, a Vietnam vet, Purple Heart recipient and this is how he was treated by this company he trusted to do this job correctly. Find another company, do not give them your business.

"DO NOT SIGN WITH THIS COMPANY"
I signed this contract in May and put $1,000 down. It is now October and cold with no word during the 4 months of what the hold up was. Finally, I get a call mid October with an installation appointment. 2 days later, I get a call saying my installation is cancelled because their contractor quit and we can’t reschedule until they hire a new one. DO NOT SIGN ON WITH THIS COMPANY.

"Run away from this company"
Run away from this company - Sales sold us 2 extra windows we did not need - then no communication from them - have had to call them multi times for updates on status - they want 50% upfront (gave them that) then another 40ish % at time of delivery ( but to their warehouse - not your home) so you have to almost pay the full amount BEFORE they do anything. Sales man said time of delivery to my home - which was a LIE.... This company so far is a joke - about to get lawyers involved.... asked them to make it right and call me back for install - never called back.....

"Customer service follow up is terrible"
We had placed 2 separate orders for our windows in our home. The first order had a few hiccups, but eventually got taken care of. The second order is a different story. The window screens have large gaps in the corners and after months of communications (all started by me, the customer) we were finally told "that's the way they are supposed to be and someone would call me. Well I responded by saying how can this be when the first order of windows the screens were not like this? no answer, no response, no call back. Customer service is TERRIBLE. One un-happy customer here and I will get the word out how this company treats customers.

"I absolutely regret contracting with…"
I absolutely regret contracting with Universal Windows for our replacement windows and patio door.
We have a manufactured home which had original windows with molding (kinda like paneling) that butted up to the windows on the inside which were old and weathered. They cut out the old windows and threw away the J-Channels on the outside of the windows. They then inserted the windows INSIDE the moldings not bothering to square them or put in any shims to keep the vinyl windows from bowing or warping. They sealed between the molding and the window but NOT between the molding and the studs. After they finished you could see daylight between the molding and the studs allowing both air and water to come in. The patio door jamb was bowed towards the door and pushed out at the top so the screen door kept popping off the track.
After much complaining they did come back and reworked the patio door. NOW it’s bowed away from the door and you can’t latch the screen door. Total crap job. The windows they did nothing with other than dumping a bunch of caulking between the trim and the siding. It’s coming up on fall pretty soon and I have no protection from air infiltration! Along with all that, the aesthetics on the outside is totally horrible. A kid could have done a better job. There are so many things wrong about this job that I could keep going but you should get the gist.
I have reached out to them several times since their last visit and they totally ignore me. Do yourself a favor and steer away from these people.

"A precautionary warning"
A precautionary warning, please DO NOT HIRE UNIVERSAL WINDOWS DIRECT to install your home windows. The management is so disgustingly bad, the number is of Charlotte, NC - 704-594-1900 actually gets directed to the Cleveland office. You will absolutely regret it. We hired them 6 months back to install new bedroom windows. First, the technicians that showed up were very strange and looked like they have never done this job before, total rookies. Second, the very next day, we realized we couldn't open one of the windows as the piece or one of the window tools turned out to be damaged already. We called them immediately to report this and they told us they will have to order the piece which will take XXX amount of days and then the technician will show up to fix it. Noone called us after the repair ticket number was issued until we called to check if the piece was ordered and then some very unprofessional customer service lady on the phone says - oh yeah the piece is here, we will schedule you on these days. It's been about 6 months now, it remains unfixed. The first appointment given to us was on December 31st-2021(the tech guy didn't show up) then they told us the tech will come on January 3rd-2022(did not show up, with an excuse got sick)- then the date was given on January 10th, 2022 which was again pushed back on January 17th- 2022. They will tell you as a consumer you have a lifetime warranty, but what is the warranty good when the window still remains damaged and you paid for something that you can't enjoy it and the service sucks! big time! This company should be closed for good and definitely calls for a lawsuit.
Please make a smart move, a wise decision and USE OTHER AND ANY OTHER WINDOW COMPANIES, THAT WILL RESPECT YOUR INVESTMENT, as these upgrades don't come cheap.
