"I’ve purchased two watches from this…"

I’ve purchased two watches from this company in the past. All I’m going to say is DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THEM. THEY ARE TERRIBLE BUSINESS PEOPLE.

"DID NOT HONOR WARRANTY "

I purchased a Breitling from them and it has a warranty on the watch. Recently the watch has been losing a minute or two every day. So I sent the watch in to be looked at, while under warranty. They sent me a bill for $666 to fix the watch… the watch that’s under warranty. What’s the point of a warranty if they won’t honor it. Also, it does need a new band. Breitling will replace for 180. They want 495. So that says something as well.

If you buy a nice watch that works, you’ll be set. But if you buy a defective watch from them, you’ll be on your own.

"I have seen a watch on their website…"

I have seen a watch on their website that is listed for $4275. On their page on ebay they listed it for $4675. I contacted them asking about this watch, once they saw me interested in this watch, they removed the watch from eBay and increased the price of the watch on their website for $5775. I wonder why, since you want to sell your watches why you act this way and take advantage of customers. Bad experience.

"I received an email from Authentic…"

I received an email from Authentic Watches asking if I was satisfied with service of the watch I sent in. I reinterated how dissatisfied i was and I received no response. They also sent me an email with a link to write a review. When I went to the link I was immediately timed out so I couldn't write the review. I wouldn't have anything to do with them. My purchases through Jomashop have been a much better experience.

"I love Tag Heuer watches and ordered…"

I love Tag Heuer watches and ordered the WAC1216. It is impossible to find a new one. Authentic Watches had it on their website and it stated it would probably be three (3) months. I was willing to wait because I love that particular watch and wanted to buy "new". The watch arrived in a month and I was so surprised. It is absolutely beautiful and was packaged beyond belief. I had called before to get an idea of when it would be arriving and they were great with their communication. This is my second Tag Heuer watch I have ordered from them.

"Authentic Watches denies Warranty Claim "

I sent my Longines Master Collection Chronograph watch in for what I thought would be covered under warranty. The watch is less than 2 years old and I have worn it less than a dozen times. The last time I wore it I discovered it had very little reserve time, actually it would be stop in the morning after being left out over night. The watch s advertised as having 54 hours reserve time. I keep all my watches in self-winding watch cases. I wore the watch for week before sending it back to Authentic Watches, winding it every morning for at least thirty times as recommended and wearing it all day. Every morning the watch was stopped. I received a notice today saying the watch is not covered under warranty and it needs a complete overhaul. I told them to send it back to me without doing an overhaul. I have bought a number of watches from Authentic Watches with good results and have recommended them to other people. I will never recommend them to anyone again after this experience. After reading what I wrote, I hope the reader would concur with me.

"I was sold a watch in "New" condition"

I was sold a watch in New condition. I received a serviced watch, with the wrong minute hand, a blemish on the dial, a tight stem, and appeared to be polished according to my jeweler. The stickers did not appear to be original factory as they did not have the red band on the bracelet. The watch was returned without stickers and some tiny scratches, which I believe were there but out of sight under the re-applied stickers as I did not wear the watch out in the 48 hours of owning it. They would not offer a full refund and since I paid with wire, I was forced to take a 20% restocking fee. Buyer beware.

*updating review based on business response. Watch was purchased from authenticwatches.com and again further proof that this business should not be trusted. This review was vetted by trustpilot and is 100% true.

*2nd edit based on business response #2. Order no#AW-216054 on 5/2/24. I have all receipts and correspondence of this fraudulent misrepresentation. Also posted to BBB and complaint to FTC. Business has also flagged this review multiple times as illegal trying to take it down and each time it is reinstated. Would not recommend doing business with this company. Buyer beware.

"Overpriced Breitlings"

This company has been selling Breitling blue face chronoliners for years and ask $10000 a pop. There is no escrow involved or a guarantee that you can get a refund if you are not satisfied. There is no customer service whatsoever and the the watches are at least $4000 overpriced. The same watch on chrono 24 is €6-7000. Please beware!

"Unethical Company"

I recently lost a Raymond Weil watch that I had received as an anniversary gift from my husband. The watch was expensive to me $2,500, but more importantly it had a great deal of sentimental value. I wanted to replace the watch and found Authentic Watches. I called and ordered a watch on January 18, 2024. I was told that I would need to pay a 10% nonrefundable deposit that day. They had up to 3 months to find the watch. The gentleman that I spoke to said I would be billed the remaining balance once a watch was found and that Authentic Watches would email me regarding updates to the process. I gave them my American Express card and all the necessary information over the phone. Shortly after hanging up the phone, I received an emailed invoice.
A week later on January 25th, I received a strange email from PayPal requesting a payment for $2675.89. Thinking this was a spam request, I ignored it. Then the next day, I received another PayPal email. Again, I thought it was spam. Two days later, I called Authentic Watches and explained that I was receiving strange emails from PayPal requesting payment. She said that those were invoices sent by them. When I explained that I had given my American Express number over the phone, she said that they couldn’t use that card because they couldn’t authenticate it. She said that they called three times and left voicemails and that they had sent emails as well. I explained that I had only received one email from them which was the original email on the day that I placed the order but hadn’t received anything else from them. I also indicated that I never received a voicemail from them and after looking at my recent incoming calls determined that someone had called me on the January 19th but never left a message.
Giving Authentic Watches the benefit of the doubt, I asked if she could send an authentication request while I was on the phone with her so that we could both be sure that the came through and I did my part correctly. She said, “No” and then explained that her accounting department wouldn’t allow it due to fraud. She kept saying that I basically couldn’t be trusted as a customer and that the only way I could start the process of them looking for the watch was to pay the full amount via PayPal today. Due to their less than stellar online reviews, I said I was not comfortable paying for the watch 100% up front and using PayPal which gave me no recourse if they did not fulfill their part of the deal. They were unwilling to take my American Express card or any other card because they know I have recourse.
This whole process has been extremely frustrating and nothing like was initially described to me when I first ordered the watch. When a company demands full payment via PayPal, I don’t think it’s the customer who is trying to commit fraud. Beware of this site!
