Although everyone in the office was helpful and kind our trip was HORRIBLE.
We rented a 25 foot RV and we were miserable the entire trip. Imagine setting up camp in the back of a UHaul!!
We drove 3000 miles in a noisy uncomfortable rattle BOX!!!
I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS AS A CHOICE FOR RV TRAVEL.
I am tired and sore and frustrated. This was not the vacation we envisioned.
This truck needs new shocks at the very least. Notice I said TRUCK. IT DROVE LIKE A BATTERED UHAUL MOVING TRUCK.
It is LOUD AND NOISY AND JUST AWFUL. Spend the extra dollars and get a REAL RV...I promise you will thank me for this sound advice. It had issues from day one. The fridge took 24 hours to get cold. Had to get a cooler in interim. The generator is so loud you can't hear anything else. The bathroom smells. Only one burner worked on the stove. The microwave rattled and moved around. The drawers and bathroom door flew open with every turn!
We spoke to other cruise and abuse RVers on the road and they agreed...NEVER AGAIN! ALL Cruise America RV Rentals are the same. Just HORRIBLE BOXES ON WHEELS.

We were given an RV that was not road worthy. It had a leak under the shower - we could not use the fresh water hook-up. In addition, the A/C unit kept freezing and in 92 degree heat, we had to shut it off and wait two hours. Upon the 2nd time of calling Cruise America for assistance with the A/C, I was told I could go buy some fans, but we should not take the RV back early, because Cruise America would not refund any money on a unit returned early. Hard lesson learned. We will not be renting from Cruise America again.
