"Horrible/unfriendly customer service"
Horrible/unfriendly customer service. They upcharge and refuse to be pleasant to the customer. Trying to act like they don't understand, making a simple request difficult. Refusing service. I call in and they refused to answer my questions honestly and respectfully. I had to do a lot of prying to get an answer. That ended up being no. They want to charge you for expensive parts and expensive labor when I can do it myself they refused to let me just buy the parts because they try to put it on and charge of the labor. I do not recommend wasting your time here. I wish I didn't have to post this but I feel like I have to because every time I go here I feel pressured by the sales reps when it should feel like they truly wanna help and not just make their next quote

"Decent selection that comes with bad service and high prices"
I have now been to Eriks several times (hoping my first time was a fluke). Ski, bike, and board shops are almost always cool. Every person that has helped me at Eriks has be been rude, inattentive, and slow. Additionally they price above MSRP on most items, so watch pricing. I rented a mountain bike not knowing where else to go for $100, about 30-40% higher than I have ever paid and paid for clip-in pedals there for my own. The shop said they would put them on for me, then charged $12 to install. The helmet didn't come with the rental and any time they could, they blamed mistakes on other shops. I have been to multiple locations and will no longer go again because after my experience this weekend I am confident I have not just caught someone on a bad day. Save your time (and your money) and go to a much better, friendlier shop.

Ive got an Amazing deal on a Nitro snowboard deck. I have some issues with payment, but this was caused by the fact my bank card is international. In the end - i was able to pay for my order and got my new board to my door pretty soon.

Walked into Overland Park store to purchase bike upgrade for my child's birthday. Absolutely no one talked to or acknowledge him or myself. Our family has been biking for 25 years. So, I helped him myself. We selected bike, took it to the counter, and met a person. They gladly accepted payment and went on describe basic bike care without ever assessing our family's biking experience. At least I learned how to use a kick stand and unhook the front brake. Not one of Erik's employees addressed my son. However, I was grateful for two customer who did congratulate him on his new bike. I miss the hole in the wall bike shops!! This is my first internet review. I never wanted to take the time. The only reason I am writing is to, hopefully, give another 8 year old a proper birthday bike purchase.

Everything went great in the ordering and shipping process. The only thing that I would have liked to have been different is in, if this is a bike shop then both items should have shipped at the same time, but they weren’t and I had to wait a little longer to receive both. Other than that all went well. I will say prices were the lowest I’ve ever seen!
