I had a prepaid booking. Then I had to pay again when I picked up the car. Vehicle rent told me they would refund the initial pre-payment.
I'm still waiting for it. The booking was in December...
Now they don't even bother answering emails

I too have had the same issue with this company saying the claim had been accepted but have yet to receive a refund and my calls get cut off. The accident was in August and they confirmed they would pay out in October. Again a wait of 90 days bit still nothing. HOWEVER, I have just phoned my credit card company and they have advised I write to them (the credit card company) under Section 75 of the Consumer Credit Act and they may be able to refund me. I would call your banks. Good luck.

"DON'T BOOK WITH VEHICLE-RENT!"

I bought a Relax Package with Vehicle Rent. Having a Super CDW from Vehicle Rent means 0 excess.
After a accident in Albania, i paid 800€ to supplier (Green Motion). Based on my agreement with Vehicle Rent they had to refund me this amount but they never did this. They did everything to refuse my case, they asked me million of papers, i provided them all this paperwork. Finally they called Green Motion, got their OK and approved my case, but just in papers. Never refunded me!! Thousand of emails without answer! Now i see that Relax Package is discontinued!
Never again with Vehicle Rent!!!
Renting a car through direct supplier websites seems more reasonable and practice.

ich warte auch wie alle Voredner seit 06.11.19 auf meine Rückerstattung.
Am 03.02.20 wurde die Rückerstattung angekündigt.
Die einbehaltene Summe wegen angeblicher Nichtzahlung des Vermittlers, ist höher wie der gesamte Mietwagenpreis für 10 Tage.
Check -24 ist auch nur eine Marionette.

Je devais payer 110e de location sur place et finalement 243 euro!!! J ai ouvert un litige mais aucune nouvelle!!!! Leur téléphone sonnait et coupait et maintenant c est pire, il n est plus attribué!!! Donc surtout ne jamais réserver chez eux!!!!

My experience is similar to several others': I bought a "Relax Package", but I have never received a refund despite the claim had been accepted by them. Several contacts by e-mail and phone were just useless. All documental evidence of these facts is available.

Indeed, their business model works as follows: you pay for the additional insurance but you do not sign a "real" insurance contract with any insurance company. So, they pick your money and that's all. They inform you that your refund might take 4 months (which is suspicious) so that in the meantime your right to dispute the amount charged to your credit card expires.
Note that they have a phone number in the UK (so that you think they are British, but they are actually based in Slovenia. Which speaks for itself.

I booked a hire car from Sofia airport through this company. our flight got cancelled and we had to book a new flight which meant we needed to change the hire reservation, i tried to call the company on a week before picking up the hire car and kept getting cut off, ( i called about 15 times, i also emailed them on their email address which went unanswered. i was willing to pay for the extra but couldn't get in touch with them. i have now had to cancel the reservation and book with another company. I won't hold my breath for them to refund me based on the other reviews on here. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.

can not reach this company via the email or telephone!
i sent an email more than 48 hours before my rental to cancle it as i have purchased the relax package and still no reply!

Diese Vermietungsfirma betrügt systemisch!!!!
Seit 4 Monaten warte ich auf die mir zugesagte Rückerstattung.
Nur Hinhalte und dann keine Kommunikation.
Ceck24 nimmt sich davon auch nichts an.
Es ist schon unglaublich, das auf dem Vergleichsportal von Check 24 immer noch diese Firma aufgeführt wird.

"Delusione"

Sono anni che prenoto con Vehicle Rent acquistando il Pacchetto Relax con l'assicurazione totale e non ho mai avuto problemi fino a quando invece il 7 febbraio noleggio una smart per 8 giorni e sotto casa rubano 4 pneumatici, questo un giorno e mezzo prima del fine noleggio E'dal 14 febbraio che ho inviato la documentazione del rimborso visto che ho dovuto anticipare più di 2.000,00 euro e non mi hanno degnato di una risposta nonostante i solleciti e intimidazioni di intervenire per vie legali. Che Delusione!
