"The Groom Room Burgess Hill"
The Groom Room Burgess Hill. I took my Bichon, requested very short all over including hygiene areas. This was approximately 19 May.
On collection not shortened as requested, groomer felt short wasnāt necessary as skin would show! That wasnāt what I requested. She then attempted to shorten. This worsened the situation. Once I left the store it was apparent the groom costing Ā£52 was very amateurish and a mess and not what I requested. With virtually nothing taken off.
I contacted head office. I was offered to go in to rectify at 9am on a Sunday morning. Also I was asked to bath dog prior to arrival. On arrival had to bang the door to be let in. The groomer asked me to be back in 30 minutes which wasnāt possible. Told me that they were only going to shorten the fur on the paws (literally thatās what was done) and nothing else. This was agreed by the store manager apparently,as Iād complained two weeks after the groom which wasnāt accurate. I went through information to confirm that I contacted the Head Office the same day or a day after the original groom. Attached photos also.
The groomer advised me the manager would call me. When he spoke to me the manager referred to a complaint of December 2017. As if to say my feed back was baseless. What did a previous complaint have to do with it! It felt extremely discriminatory. The said complaint was when my dog had an open wound injury on the side of her face after being groomed. I have just read a similar happened at another groom room recently.
After paying Ā£52 I was expected to accept the outcome without grooming her as Iād requested. Then told by the manager your next appointment should be okay but make sure you tell the groomer what you require. Then just hope they can do it properly the next time. I even provided photos showing the jagged lines with virtually no difference.
Very disappointed. I decided to go in to the store and refund my deposit for the next groom and cancel the appointment to avoid the same situation.
The member of staff took another deposit payment instead of refunding my deposit and now I have £30 taken from my account and no sign of the £30 refund showing yet.
I would avoid the Groom Room in Burgess Hill going forwards as this was not a good experience. Most certainly not experienced staff and charging £52 for a small dog with an amateurish outcome is hard to accept.
I suppose Iām now going to have to ask the bank to refund the money wrongfully taken by the Groom Room.

Andover, very unprofessional and rude left my old dog cold and wet whiles she want to argue with me, about shaving her coat, she told me it was in the Policy which I asked her to show me, as I was looking and it didnāt Exist then she shown me apart of the policy Where they can refuse treatment told me to go, I took my poor old wet Shivering dog home, she need to do some more course and lean how to treat people and dogs better,

"ROBBERY - avoid pets at home Groom Room, Trent Vale"
Avoid Pets at Home Trent Vale Groom Room (or Festival Park) depending on where the online booking arranges your apt even when you have selected the location you are looking for. Confirmation says āStokeā could be anywhere they have multiple stores in Stoke. I turned up for my appointment with my dog, on time to be told Iād been booked in at another location on the online booking system. Lady who served me was condescending, implying that I was stupid and it was my fault that this had happened, she then rang the other store and proceeded to have a conversation with another lady in front of me saying how itās my mistake and it would of said on my confirmation - which it didnāt, said they were taking my Ā£15 deposit for missing the apt, didnāt offer to rebook me or apologise (other than sarcastically as I left the store) told me to ātake it up with customer servicesā which I did, and the lady on the phone said she would get me a refund, I then get a reply to say me and my dog are banned from Trent Vale but ring Festival Park if I want to rebook (the cheek absolutely NOT), oh and of course that they wonāt give me a refund. Complete ROBBERY, and disgusting customer service. Trading standards will be notified.
