"If i could put a score of zero"
If i could put a score of zero, it would still be generous. Absolute scam artists!, avoid the Lincoln branch at all costs!.
Bought a used car in late Nov 23, they claim each car has a 112 point check, yet could not upate the software on the radio, we are lucky if we can get a clear signal on more than 4 DAB channels. 3 months into owning the car, the service light comes on, 3 months! - why the car wasn't serviced when we bought it is beyond me, another hidden cost we got blinded by.
Martin, the salesman came across as genunie, but was convenienty too busy when i called into branch to enquire why i'm having to service the car after just 3 months!. The service superviser claimed the car was serviced just after they took it in as part exchange 9 months prior to selling it to us, yet Martin claimed the car had only just been taken in as part ex, when he sold it to us -so who's the liar?. Milage at prior service was 3000 miles less than when we bought the car, so it must have been on a hell of a lot of test drives during that time.
Compalined & got an email from Kian Dennett (service consultant) claiming the sales manager was offering a 'goodwill' discount of £100 against a service, we then replied asking Kian to clear up questions to when the vehicle was actually taken in as part ex & who'd actually been lying to us. In addition to this we also had other quiries relating to entries in the vehicle service handbook that did not add up to their stories, and wanted clarification.
It's been 5 weeks since our response, Petagon Lincoln have just ghosted us & no repsonse whatsoever.
Currently seeking advice from The Motor Ombudsman & BBC rogue traders, would advise others in our situation to do the same as our experience with Petagon Lincoln is they are con artists.

"Absolutely shocking aftercare service"
Absolutely shocking aftercare service. More than happy to sell my son a car & try & push him into every extra they could. Slow puncture straight away, no locking wheel nut in the car. Garage tell it was in the car, and we would have to pay for replacement. Then miraculously they find the exact one in the garage. No apology & tried to make out they were doing us a favour by letting us have that one. It goes in for service, needs tracking & all sensors repairing. They tell my son that the chips on the car are his fault & therefore the sensors aren't covered under warranty. They have the car 3 days & tell us the technician has driven the car & the tracking is fine. So we pick up the car & they've done nothing in 3 days and we had no communication at all. My husband complained when the car was picked up & not one member of staff was remotely interested. SHOCKING , do not buy from this dealer!

"Avoid the service department, incompetent."
Having been a loyal Vauxhall customer for a number of years this has now come to an end. The incompetence of the service department is frightening to say the least.
I have recently had to have some work done on my vehicle which took three visits to get sorted “two” diagnostics visits (one a full day, and then only to be told they need it back again to do more diagnostics) and then the actual visit for the so called repair. The repair was quoted at possibly circa £150+ up to nearly £400 depending on the extent of the work/parts (suspension/running gear) that could need replacing. The bill naturally turned out to be at the higher end of the quote at nearly £370, this would have been totally fine had the work solved the problem, unfortunately it did not.
A few weeks later (approx4-5) the exact same noises were back again. Back to Pentagon Mansfield with my costly repair in doubt, bear in mind, I had “two” diagnostic visits. The vehicle was booked back in and subsequently returned for their “diagnostic” of the problem. The verdict this time was that the “ball joints” needed replacing? How was this not picked up on the first two diagnostics? I do not believe for one minute that this problem has occurred after the other work was done, resulting in the same exact problem as before where I was charged nearly £370 for work I suspect didn’t need doing.
The quote for the ball joints was another £600-700!
Needless to say I am done with Pentagon Mansfield, I will be cancelling the service policy I have had with them for the last four years.
After the visit I went to another local garage nearby and explained the problem, “sounds like the ball joint” he said. This just makes a mockery of the so called main dealer experts and their over inflated prices.
Further to Pentagon’s reply, this will no doubt be just an obligatory reply. A complaint went into the group complaints department with a case number generated when this first happened. I have requested an update on the case number on a few occasions and as expected the silence is deafening. Swept under the carpet.

"Yet another fantastically poor service…"
Yet another fantastically poor service experience from Pentagon Barnsley Branch, at least they consistently very poor. Our car was booked in for its 2nd service today, which my partner had waited over a month for so she could have a courtesy car as her car is a motability vehicle and she needs a vehicle to get around and obviously to get back home from the garage, for her to be told when she got there that they hadn’t got a courtesy car again just like last year. The same thing happened in 2023 and we just put it down to human error. We also had a bad experience when the car was with them for 6 weeks for a repair, as we are not confident that they actually replaced the fuse they were waiting for, or if it was just left as a temporary fix, as we when we collected the vehicle we were told it had been temporarily fixed and we would be called when the fuse was in stock, I phoned a month later for an update for them to say that the correct fuse had been fitted, I went on to explain that I saw it clearly written on the job sheet that a part was needed which it had a star at the either side of it so it stood out. I certainly would not recommend Pentagon they are horrendous, buy your car from a different dealership as their customer service and service department are very poor. The next car we get next year will not be from pentagon, we will either travel to Wakefield or Sheffield.

"An average experience for an expensive price"
3 STARS = AVERAGE
Booked a diagnostic service 2 weeks in advance but on the day Pentagon were too busy to complete the service.
I dropped my car off in the morning as soon as the doors opened at the service centre & it was the first car in that day.
Pentagon didn't call back as promised by 5pm with an update and when followed up, they stated they had been too busy to complete the diagnostic that day.
Understandable that they're busy, but if Pentagon decide to charge £120 for diagnostic alone this needs to be justified by speed & quality of service far above that of a local garage, not below.
If Pentagon were overbooked, they should have informed me in advance & rescheduled so I could have had use of my car.
