Our car broke down, so we went to book it in with Blackpool MG and spoke with the service team (Amelia and Keith, the service manager). They were not helpful whatsoever, lied to both me and my girlfriend, and need to work on their customer service skills, as their attitudes were terrible. If you're thinking about booking your car in here for a service or repairs, I would strongly recommend avoiding them, as they are a complete shambles.

Amelia was unhelpful and unwilling to assist, stating she didn’t want to book our car in. Initially, she mentioned the 29th was available, but when we called back to confirm the booking just five minutes later, she claimed the earliest availability was the 4th or 5th of February.
When I contacted MG customer services, they confirmed that the 29th was indeed the earliest booking available, which suggests Amelia deliberately misled us to avoid taking the booking. This is incredibly frustrating, especially since we were polite and not being difficult in any way.
Additionally, you continue referencing an RAC report that was never provided to my partner, which makes this situation even more frustrating.
Please cancel the diagnostic booking, as we will no longer be using Chorley Group for any services. We will also be sharing our experience to warn others about the poor service and lack of professionalism.

I recently bought a used Citroën C5, unfortunately with only one key, which for me being quite dopey is a disaster in waiting. A quick Google search told me that any dealer would provide the transponder code usually for free. My nearest Citroën dealer wanted £25. A 20 mile journey in driving snow to the next Citroën dealer was nothing but disappointing as I was treated with a degree of contempt. I came home feeling quite deflated, but third time lucky, I thought I'd phone the last on my list, Chorley group Bolton Citroën. The chap I phoned told me the paperwork I needed and invited me to pop in at my leasure. I visited Citroën today and Zoey helped me to get the information I needed. In no time I was on my way home. The only Citroën dealerships I will consider in the future is Chorley group-Bolton Citroën. Thanks Zoey and Bolton Citroën.

I have just purchased a new Kia through Chorley group. Apart from my indecision new car second hand car, it was an absolute pleasure. Jonty in sales was totally understanding as to what I was trying to achieve and at no point pressured me into buying a car, he wanted to be sure I was making the right decision myself and just guided me through my somewhat eratic thought process!! It was a pleasurable process considering how stressful in can be, its a major purchase. Cant wait to get the new motor and look forward to dealing with them in the future for my servicing etc. Keep it up pleasure to not feel pressured.

Car bought in 2021, showed signs of fault in 2022, failed MOT in 2024. 2025 UPDATE: No longer Vantage but only willing to help if it involves buying a car. This is the 2nd car I've bought from them it had faults just over a year of owning it and failed the MOT in November 2024. Engine fault. Regular servicing and even diagnostics were carried out at Vantage in Morecambe but nothing was found until now. When contacting both Chorley Group (because this was originally Vantage Citroen) and Vantage in Morecambe they both pointed fingers at each other so the issue has not been resolved. Finance has been contacted and emails have been ignored and when I rang in the past they said it was the dealerships problem. No resolution and I have been left with a car with a faulty engine on my drive with £4k finance left to pay. This is not including the months of stress trying to get a resolution. A warning not to get used cars from them as you might end up in the same very stressful situation I am currently in. I was hoping to trade it back in for a different car when the PCP came to an end but didn't expect to be sold a car with an engine fault.... disappointed and devastated would be putting it lightly.

"Awful after sales when they made an error"
Front end of process was fine, good sales experience on buying an MG3, Alex was a great guy to deal with and the car is perfect. However the after sales is shocking.
I had traded in my existing vehicle, signed over the finance and all sorted. 3 weeks later a payment was taken from my account for the old vehicle and it turned out that the finance had not been cleared.
So far (accounting for the new year bank holiday) we are 3 banking days on from Chorley MG apologising for their error and saying they would send me the balance (c. £280). So far reasons cited include ‘we were closed two of the three days’ and that I should not have been told it would be refunded so soon. Advising them I would have to consider legal redress to get my money the manager I spoke to (Stuart) said “we need to have adult conversations” ie inferring that I wasn’t. What dismal customer service.
I would buy from a different dealership in future, the attitude to them resolving their own error has been awful.

I had a fabulous experience at Chorley Nissan at wigan. Paul was exceptional, he was so helpful and very thorough. He made the whole experience easy, kept me informed throughout and ensured I came out with my dream car! Paul went above and beyond to ensure the best experience, he gave me time and space with the correct information to help me make an importance decision. I would recommend him to anybody who wants to buy a used car!
My only negative to my experience was Richard at the service department. He was quite rude, he seemed to have no customer service. He approached me rudely and did the same to my parents.
That’s the only down side to my experience. He doesn’t look happy to be there to be honest!
