"I chose Greener Energy Group due to the number of excellent online reviews."
I chose Greener Energy Group due to their excellent online reviews.
The initial appointment with Fraser was very informative, he outlined the Hybrid Heating System and its benefits in easy to understand language and answered any follow up questions quickly.
The Greener Energy Group also helped negotiate the application process for funding, easy step by step instructions, very easy to follow.
The site survey was conducted at a time to suit ourselves and once funding was in place, the team were very quick to set an install date to have out old system removed and the new system plumbed in.
Over the two day installation, I found everyone from the plumbers to the electrician to be friendly and professional. The odd unforeseen snags were briefly discussed with me and the work advanced quickly.
The workers were tidy and left no mess in my house.
A few minor snagging issues after installation were quickly attended to and I now have a very efficient hybrid heating system in place.
I would recommend Greener Energy Group to anyone considering installing a Heat Pump or Hybrid system.

"Don't bother unless you're wealthy"
The company presentation is that of a potentially government accredited firm that helps householders to install energy efficient heating systems. This isn't the case.
I contacted them because we live in a flat with our out of date, heat leaking (at wrong times) storage heaters which we no longer use, The system from the early 1990s was called a Total Heat with Total Control heating system and has two 'restricted' electric meters. This outdated system is useless since the cheaper nighttime rate increased in the last 20 years to become almost the same as the much more expensive rate for lights and cooking. Then there are the double standing charges for the two meters.
Since the government brought in laws to prevent restricted meter customers being ripped off it has been possible to get a single standard rate for both meters and People's Energy were easy to get a standard rate from. People's Energy wasn't supported by the government and was made to go bust and I was transferred to British Gas which is constantly supported by the government with low taxes and subsidies - it's almost as if the government (or politicians?) had shares in oil and gas companies! British Gas wouldn't allow us to have a single rate tariff until I appealed to the regulators. BG play really dirty but eventually, after months and months, I got what I am legally allowed - a choice - as per what the privatisation of energy was supposed to allow every customer (except restricted meter households!).
The salesman knew nothing about, and wasn't interested in, the unfairness of our very high energy bills when compared with households who have a gas system. Our severely rationed use of heat and light (living-room only while occupied and frost protection setting in the bathroom, with no heat in kitchen, hallway or bedrooms and switching off the immersion heater and using electric shower only so no hot water) uses about 7,000 kwh/year but costs the same or more than households who have full gas central heating in every room all winter. Gas users consume 15,000 kwh of gas and 3,000 kwh of electricity on average per year.
The price-cap for energy was set to serve gas centrally heated households not restricted meter customers despite Scotland producing more wind energy than it uses. But of course Scots can't be allowed to benefit from any of that despite hosting all the ugly windmills everywhere you look.
Basically we are rationing heat so that the richest 10% can go on heating their swimming pools and consuming hundreds of times more energy than everybody else in order to keep UK net zero figures low for the government's UK net zero targets.
The sweetener on the website mentioned grants for replacing old inefficient heating systems and an up to £2,000 scrappage scheme for storage heaters.
Sales person arrived and was upfront that it wasn't for us - he could see we weren't wealthy. each new storage heater would cost us £2,500 and we have 3. There was no mention of any mitigation of the cost through the mythical scrappage system or of any grants to help that might apply. I assume none of that really exists. They certainly don't exist for the lower end of the market struggling to pay inflated energy bills.

"I would recommend. …"
The funding application can be quite a lengthy and daunting task. When applying, certain wording has to be used which isn't made clear on the HES or EST website, the greener energy group gave me step by step guidance throughout the whole process. The installation engineers, plumbers, electricians and roofers were all excellent in and out quickly and cleaning up afterwards.

"Great service from instalation team."
Although I didn't have much of a interaction with the solar panel instalation team I did with the electians both of which were great.
I do think a pre instalation visit would have help because the electrician was unable to complete the job on the first visit because I had to lift flooring. If I has a pre visit I would have known that and the prep work could have been done.

Brilliant experience with Greener Energy Group. From start of conversation our solar panels were installed within two weeks! Great service by the install team. We are now enjoying almost free electricity…down from £1.90 a day to just a few pence! Amazing. I would thoroughly recommend.
