"Don't give them your number!"
I would give a review of the windows and doors supplied and installed by Smiths, were i not so busy fielding COLD CALLS to my mobile and home number left-right and centre. I initially replied to the first call stating yes, we might consider something else in the future, but not for a couple of years as we are not in a financial position for that yet. I requested that i will contact them nearer the time for a quote.
Since then i have had HUNDREDS of phone calls from them, multiple in a day, multiple days in a week! I request to be left alone and i am not, I request to have my number removed and my "right to be forgotten" and it is not.
I would have considered using Smiths again for our next purchase, but their disgusting after-sales and harassing COLD CALLING has put me and my family off ever using them again. Unfortunately, it still doesn't stop them calling, another two so far today!
AVOID, no respect for customers privacy or rights to live in peace and make our own decisions!

"Lovely doors terrible service"

Never use this company! As soon as they have your number they will harass and harass you even when you tell them not to contact you again. Four times now since April someone has called us to ask if we wnat the door installed. YOU DID IT 9 MONTHS AGO. The latest call came today, just 2 weeks after I td them explicitly not to contact me again. Review is back to 1 star and I advise you to avoid like the plague. Wish we never used you now!
UPDATE 15th April
- After moaning below I got through to a lovely lady in the installation team who was super helpful and apologetic. The replacement door arrived the following Monday and was installed Tuesday morning with no hitches. It looks lovely and we feel very secure and warm. I have updated to 3 stars - the product is definitely outstanding but this company needs to some serious work on its customer service and internal communications if it wants to stay in business!
Lovely doors terrible service
We were initially very pleased with the service and ordered our doors. Then had to chase consistently for a week and had 4 phone messages ignored in trying to book the appointment. The sales people, surveyors and the guy who fitted the door was fantastic, however we realised that the fascia was wrong on the door. The fitter was shocked that no one had contacted us but said it was easily fixed. Two weeks later my husband chases and they said the person in charge of our account was on maternity leave...(Why would you give a job to someone who isn't there?)
Still no word and we get a call aggressively selling us windows... Erm... can you finish the first job before asking for more money?
Then today I get a call asking why I haven't done the trust pilot survey yet... "because you haven't finished the job yet"... I was promised it would be looked into...
30 minutes later another call... "I hear you aren't ready to get your doors and windows done yet..." - WHAT? I have a door you haven't finished?!
I have absolutely no idea when or if they'll finish the door but the good news is they do buy now, pay in a year, and that won't be triggered until they finish the job, which could well be in several decades time, so that's a relief.
The door does look lovely though(!)

"concern on conservatory"
The issue I have is about the conservatory not the windows
sales person not give full clear explanation on the work they are doing
lie on what they are going to do to get the contract.
Deceitful on the content of the job knowing the customer have limited knowledge
not inspect the job done after, despite customer is asking for the manager to come and check the job.

"No Refund"
I had to cancel a policy I took out a couple of days after signing.
I initially agreed to pay a deposit but due to circumstances changing we had to cancel during the 14 day cooling off period.
After numerous phone calls and emails, I am still waiting for my deposit to be refunded. Almost a month has gone past and they have not provided any information on what is taking so long.
Would not recommend using this company!
UPDATE:
I phoned the number provided and was told on the phone that it was with accounts and that the refund would be in my account on Friday.
I was not passed to the Sales team etc. and the person on the phone only took my name.
This is the same process that I have been through before. Can you look into this for me and check that this will actually be back in my account on Friday at the latest!

No Refund issued yet again.
It has now been over the 28 days that you originally stated. What excuse do you have this time?
I am still awaiting a response from my email where I raised a formal complaint on the 1st April.
Update:
Refund has still not been processed and I phoned the number. Operator said it would be in my account last Friday (again) and it still hasn’t been processed. This is beyond a joke now and is making me question the legitimacy of this company. I’m going to be forced to raise this with trading standards and my bank!
