Orchid Hunting in the Chiltern Hills - what an excellent day! A wonderful, fun and informative trip taking in three reserves, each one the home of rare orchids - and many of which I’d never have found on my own. The day was led by Leif Bersweden who is full of knowledge, passion and enthusiasm, which he shares in a really accessible and engaging way. A small group too, which meant everyone had ample opportunity to get a good look at each orchid and to ask any questions they wanted to. The programme was very well planned and considered. I couldn’t have asked for a better day.

What a wonderful day we had looking for amazing and beautiful orchids, some rare and others more common, at three different sites, being led and inspired by Leif. His knowledge, passion and enthusiasm of all plants and insects is astounding but he delivers it in a way that is personable and easy to understand. The rest of the group of 11 were fun and everyone had different interests to contribute, which made it even more enjoyable. A truly memorable day, well worth the two year wait due to covid. Keep up the good work Leif in your endeavour to educate more people to appreciate the wonders and importance of the natural word, especially orchids! Tiggy

A great day in the company of like-minded people. I learnt a lot about the different species we found and our instructor, Leif, was knowledgeable and full of infectious enthusiasm. The day was relaxed, with plenty of time for photos and unhurried walking. Highly recommended.

Georgie and Dominic were leading the survey. They were brilliant. Very informative and helpful. It's clear to see they are both very passionate about what they do and are very welcoming, friendly people.
