"Pathetic Company"
Pathetic Company. I purchased an air purifier from Wayfair. When I got it there was a defect and did not work. I immediately called Wayfair and they told me to return it.
I sent it back within 2 days.
The next mont I got a bill from Commenty Bank, the supplier of their credit. It was for $15. I called Wayfair to iinquire what the charge was for. The said that it was a return charge. The customer service rep said that she did see a note that it was defective. She said she would note the account. The next month we got a bill for $50. The original $15 plus $35 for late payment fee. Again I called Wayfair, talked to a rep. She said that she would note the account, but there was nothing she could do about the $35 late payment fee, that was added by the bank. I called the bank, they said they were never notified by Wayfair that the $15 was false charges. But there was nothing they could do about the late fee. It stands like it is. Every month Commenty Bank added another $35. After it reached a certain age they closed the account and charged it off. That was 5 years ago. Last month I got a letter from National Debt collections, they said that they bought the account and they wanted the $301. They had already listed it on my credit report with all 3 major credit reporting agencies. They had not sent me a letter, collection note, email or anything. In fact the only way I ever found out about the collection was get a notice from my credit monitoring company that there a collection added to my reports.

"Price switching"
Price switching! I have pictures of the chair I was going to purchase at 489.99 before I selected add to cart. When added to cart price switched to 519.00. Call and was told by a manager that the policy states that prices can change at anytime. I guess that includes adding it to the cart. I have not had problems in the past with purchases but will never trust Wayfair again. Seems this policy is illegal. Losing customers over 40 dollars is not good business practice.

"Way Too Long to Wait"
Ordered an office desk from wayfair and after ordering it, it took 3 days just to get the item shipped. They told me I’d receive the item by September 11th and now that it took 3 days just to ship it, I won’t be getting it until Friday.
Contacted customer support and they said there’s nothing that can be done. So will never do business with them as it takes way too long to receive it.
Wayfair gave me 10% next order….. better than nothing I guess

"Return costs"
Ordered 2 large rugs and unfortunately just didn't work for the space. The return costs were high for docking me the original price of the item, plus cost to ship back. Not worth the headache and hassle when I can use other vendors on line for the same products and not deal with this issue.

"Too slow"
Regretting my purchase. Maybe I’m just spoiled by Amazon, but waiting 9 days to get my order is just too long. This will strongly be taken into consideration before buying from Wayfair again. Very disappointed.
EDIT: I resolved this by cancelling the order and buying one from Amazon, which will be delivered Friday.

"Unpredictable quality that is inconsistent with reviews"
I ordered the Yailynn Solid Wood Platform Bed from Red Barrel Studios based upon positive reviews on this and other Red Barrel Studios furniture items on Wayfair. I received a shipment from AFI Furnishings. I explained the problem to Wayfair and was told the problem is being forwarded "to the manufacturer". If I received a product from the wrong manufacturer, how is the manufacturer going to correct the problem? I am awaiting resolution.
Additional comment - Please note that Red Barrel Studio is not a manufacturer. It is a catch-all that Wayfair uses so they can send you an item from multiple manufacturers. Therefore the reviews on quality may reflect a manufacturer that is no longer their supplier and the new supplier may have terrible quality control. This Red Barrel Studio item is currently being supplied by AFI Furnishings. I tried to purchase an AFI Furnishings item a month ago and received three damaged items in a row - then they refused to continue to correct their errors. I never would have purchased this item from Wayfair if I knew AFI Furnishings was the supplier. They are insisting that I return the item but pay for shipping myself. This is false advertising, and Wayfair is refusing to resolve the situation.
I am sure Wayfair will find a way to bury this review so I will be posting it on Reddit and other sites.

"Never again"
I ordered a small ottoman on Aug 22nd. Expected delivery date was the 30th. And then Sept 3rd. And then the 9th-11th. And then the 10th-13th. And then the 11th - 15th. And now the 16th - 19th. Those dates only show on the website. When I actually click into Track Your Order, all it says is Tuesday, September 3, Estimated Delivery, Item To Be Shipped.
Whereas the app doesn't display those ranges but simply still says estimated delivery: Sept 3rd with "Item to be Shipped" as the status.
Unless Wayfair invented time travel, it never came on the current delivery date of Sept 3rd. Today is the 10th. It seems that this estimated delivery date range shifts forward every day I check the site.
I had varying experiences with the service reps. One said it had been picked and was on the boat and had a tracking number. Except there is still no tracking number displayed on the order page. So I'm pretty sure he was just reading from a script.
Another agent finally opened up a ticket on Sept 5th to investigate what's going on with the item. Apparently that takes another 10 days while they "wait for scan data"? (How much do you want to bet I don't hear anything by the 15th.) But kudos to her for at least trying.
This entire time no one can cancel the order even though we have no clue where the item is and I've been receiving contradictory information. It makes no sense that it cannot be canceled given that it definitely has not shipped yet and there is not a tracking number.
The only thing I was able to negotiate in one of the service chats was to waive the return shipping fee, so I guess that's nice.
If it ever arrives in the first place... And they remember to honor that waive request.
In the meantime, I've already ordered and received an actual tracking number for an order with another discount furniture company. Turn around time between order and delivery date: six days. That's in comparison to Wayfair's 18 day wait and counting to even receive a tracking #.
Going forward, you can bet I'll be using Wayfair's competitor because this is beyond ridiculous. Either the item was never in stock in the first place but I was still able to place the order, or Wayfair's shipping partner is stuck in the Bermuda Triangle.

"The worst"
The worst! Wayfair has the absolute worst customer service. They will not help you, or resolve an issue. Wayfair has nice products, but terrible service. Try to find the items that you want at another retailer. I will NEVER purchase another item from them.

"My order was supposed to be delivered…"
My order was supposed to be delivered on August 31, 2024 however got delayed and when I reached out to the customer service on Sep4 they asked me to get back on the 7th so that they could issue a refund or replacement. Despite the delivery being marked as completed on September 6, 2024, I never received the package.
After multiple interactions with Wayfair’s customer service, I was told to wait until September 7 for a resolution. Now, they are saying I have to wait until September 11 for a refund or replacement due to system limitations that require three full days of no updates.
The customer service representatives aren’t helpful at all and are unable to expedite the process or offer a satisfactory solution. It is incredibly frustrating to be left waiting for so long, especially given that the order has been missing for over a week past its expected delivery date. I hope Wayfair can address these issues and improve their processes to better serve their customers."

" Ripe off"
So I had placed an order one item was left on my porch but I never got it. Called CS and they sent me a picture Fed-Ex took they asked is this your porch and said you see the box was left on your chair. As I answered yes this is my porch they told me to file a police report and call your rental insurance so they can Reimburse me my $79.98. Had no problem filing a police report but file a claim with rental insurance when I feel they should have return my money. Never again will I buy from Wayfair!!!
