"HORRIBLE AND COSTLY EXPERIENCE "

Response from Wayfair Customer Service Representative today after reaching out to them an directed by their response to my review:
I totally understand the frustration here. What I can see is that this order is from 2020 so it is outside any warranty to be able to assist with a refund. I can see our social media team were the ones who responded to you regarding your complaint posted about the item, but we are not able to provide a resolution as it is not covered under a warranty.

On August 17, 2024, the Embassy Desk desk I purchased from All Modern via Wayfair exploded out of no where due to a defect that the manufacturer identified as having a 0.3% chance of occurring. Purchased in September 2020, this desk should not have experienced such a severe failure so soon.All Modern Website Customer Reviews 11/07/2022- customer states desk shattered 5/30/2023- customer states desk exploded 6/******- customer states desk exploded ********************** IS AWARE THIS DESK IS PRONE TO SHATTERING/EXPLODING Despite providing Wayfair with comprehensive evidence, including photos and email correspondence documenting the defect and the significant damage caused, their customer service declined to assist. They cited the expired warranty and purchase date as their sole reasons for inaction. Given the severity of the defect and the risks involved, I believe descretion should be made in regards to the warranty policy in extreme cases like this. Wayfair should stand by the products they sell and address significant issues that arise even after the standard warranty period.Warning to Future Buyers: This desks defect poses serious risks of injury and property damage. My experience has resulted in costly repairs and the need to replace damaged items, adding to the frustration and financial burden.I urge potential buyers to consider these serious risks before purchasing this desk or buying from Wayfair. Proceed with caution.

"Very torn about Wayfair"

Very torn about Wayfair. I have gotten some wonderful products from them that I simply could not find elsewhere, however,
navigation, search and sort on Wayfair are
horrible. If I want something specific, I have to do a google search like .."on Wayfair.com find...." and results are more related to my search. I'm sick of the search and sort being useless.
In fact, across the internet these days all sites are ignoring maintaining the search and sort feature.
We all grasp that the sites are designed to waste your time and keep you shopping for things you do not need or want, leaving the shopper to find ways around that.

"They sent us double items"

They sent us double items. We called to tell them get a refund and a return authorization label. We received letters saying they were working on it, we got our refund. Finally after 30 days we get billed again. Called to see why and where was the label. We got told by Anna that it is over 30 days and now we have to pay 200+ dollars to return it they are so crooked. Beware

"Don't trust this website"

Don't trust this website. Great marketing to lure you in on TV and web but if you need to return something watch out! No option for a defective product in return dialogue. Jump through lots of hoops and have to call live agent to get return for defective product. WORST OF ALL there is absolutely NO way to give a BAD review on their website for a bad product or the process of return.

"DO NOT BUY A GIFT CARD "

DO NOT BUY A GIFT CARD . I bought someone a giftcard for their Bday and it never arrived virtually . Then they cancelled it twice and promised to provide a discount code for the inconveince . The bday came and went and not a single email arrived to the person. The card # they gave for the person didnt even work and on the 5th call and try they suggested they just cancel because they cant find a solution to the glitch their system is having .. Terrible and wont use agian ..

Update 9/6/24 they responded they reached out to me by email , but havent LOL Same issue as the gift card I guess .. Not Acceptable

JUST KEEP AN EYE WHEN IS GOING TO BE THE DELIVERY,
I bought two cabinets for my living room and FedEx delivered the 2 boxes lying down on the floor under the edge of the roof, in Florida, it rains almost every day, and last week, in particular, was raining every day in the afternoon, so the 2 boxes got really wet with the cartoon even broken and contacted support to return the order and they sent me the shipping label, I asked them if they will charge me for the shipping back and they said NO, once Fedex pickup the boxes I received an email and indeed they charged me $70 dollars for shipping back the order.

But I submitted a claim and let me tell you the Advocacy customer support representative who called me (Adriana) was the best ever, she not only processed the refund of the shipping but also offered me a discount through my email, she was very gentle and understood the situation.
The truth is that Wayfair offers good deals and the website is very friendly.

"I have been dealing with Wayfair on a…"

I have been dealing with Wayfair on a defective loveseat that needs to be returned. It’s actually 2 loveseats, since The beginning of July. I purchased them for my elderly Mom. I also paid for assembly. Because the items are defective, they are to be returned. The problem we face is, they want the loveseats DISASSEMBLED and boxed back up for returning. My Mom is elderly, on oxygen and uses a walker. Wayfair cares nothing about that. They said the item must be disassembled and boxed. Well, I couldn’t find boxes large enough for the loveseats. I contacted the few furniture stores in my Moms city. They did not have boxes. I was informed the furniture comes wrapped. I contacted Wayfair and received permission to wrap the loveseats. I paid someone to wrap the furniture. I contacted Wayfair to let them know the furniture was wrapped. The lady asked for pics of the DISASSEMBLED wrapping. I informed her we didn’t disassemble once the wrap was approved. Now I’m told, I’ll need to unwrap, disassemble, wrap THE PIECES, take pics and send before pick up. I will have to come out of pocket AGAIN for WAYFAIR’s defective product! This is the reply I received from Wayfair:
“We are very sorry to hear of the issues you have experienced with your order. This is certainly not the quality of service we aim to provide for our customers, and we apologize for any inconvenience caused. We always want to ensure that our customers are happy with the items they received. If you believe that there is a quality issue for this item, please report this through the 'My Account' section on our website and we will be more than happy to assist you. You can do this by visiting .”

YOU MUST AIM to provide this service if this is the service I am continually receiving.

"I ordered a comforter for my bedroom"

I ordered a comforter for my bedroom. It didn't match my decor so I returned it. It cost me $50 to return it. I will not be ordering from wayfarer again. Amazon only.

"Avoid signing up for Wayfair text…"

Avoid signing up for Wayfair text messages. It is a scam! They never send you the 10% off promo code. Also, Wayfair has the absolute worst customer service. They will not help you, or resolve an issue. Wayfair has nice products, but terrible service. Try to find the items that you want at another retailer.
