"Terrible company. Avoid."
Aster moved us into our property 4 years ago and informed us last month that we shouldn't have moved in due to a fault in the roof. We have had multiple tiles come off the roof, leaks and damp patches. The only positive is the contractors they send out do a decent job to repair everything.
Service charges are extortionate and are not reasonable at all. When we moved in, we paid £78 a month for service charges. Now we are paying £196 a month!! When asked for a summary of costs, you get ignored or given the same excuses as to why the price has increased. Even when you submit a request for a summary of costs, they fail to send these documents within the 30 days mentioned in the landlord and tenancy act, section 21, which is a criminal offence. However, this doesn't bother them as it seems they don't care about there tenants and just like every other big company, just want your money.

"Very positive experience as an Aster tenant"
I'm a tenant and can only comment on my experience as a tenant in the South West region. Aster have been, from my experience, fantastic in all ways. The response to repair and upgrade works inside the property has been timely and there has been excellent communication at all stages. The customer service team always endeavour to get back to you and keep you posted from my experience.
Having faced great housing insecurity due to circumstances beyond my control, I feel incredibly lucky and grateful to have a safe, secure home without fear of being booted out at any moment by profiteering landlords. Thankyou Aster. :-)

"Totally incompetent ."
Totally incompetent . Never reply to enquiries. Promise repairs that are never done. We've had a leaking roof for over 30 years, a wood burner ( our only source of heat) that we have been told 3 times is unsafe to use and would be sorted immediately. That was 4 years ago, still the same. Our energy efficiency rating is F, a level that houses are no longer allowed to be rented at. I could go on, as could most of my Aster housed neighbours!

We had two workmen from AGR visiting this week to clear our cellar.
We just wanted to tell you that they did an excellent job on the clearance and it can’t have been a very pleasant job. They worked very hard and we were unaware of how many items were in the cellar and the state that it was in!

"I have reserved a plot at monkton …"
I have reserved a plot at monkton place in Farnham. Cannot get a viewing. Who the hell buys a house and cannot view excuse after excuse so went and had a look from outside of the plot I’m purchasing and I see very very cheap internal doors have been fitted cost to Aster about £5 each Why oh Why would you do this what idiot thought chipboard would look nice they would need to be replaced by a proper door, white panel doors they do not cost the earth I am thinking about pulling out I cannot deal with a company that is dishonest, no transparency whatsoever ever no ethics, or integrity. Excuse, after Excuse lie after lie. I would encourage people to think very carefully from part purchasing a property from these clowns. WHO THE HELL WANTS A PIECE OF CHIPBOARD FOR AN INTERNAL DOOR. GET YOUR ACT TOGETHER ASTER !!!! Give people what they pay for so far I have paid out over £1K still not viewed the house this is just the tip of the iceberg the house should have been ready January it’s now end of feb. Not gonna be ready til end May I am now having to rent at a huge cost.

Very grateful to Aster. The process was smooth from the start. Although we had hiccups with the house being delayed by 5 months I was fully aware it wasn’t Asters fault but the developers. Thankful for the quick replies from the sales team.

I just wanted to say an enormous THANK YOU to Aster's repairs team. Following the recent storm I reported a fence issue on Saturday. Two days later, on the Monday, the team were out - replaced my fence panel AND the gate that had been destroyed by the same storm but AFTER I had reported the fence. I hadnt even had chance to report the gate! As a disabled customer I greatly appreciated their expedience and support to ensure the property remained safe. When Aster get it right - it is so appreciated.

"Repairs either not done years later or a shoddy job done instead!"
There is a list simply too long to write about all the ways Aster have let me down. Countless repairs that are still not done 3 years later ranging from door handles that have fallen off presenting a massive fire and safety risk to big cracks in the walls, not helping me with my disability and requests made, a nail sticking out of a door frame that cut my son's foot open when we first moved in, unsuitable vinyl flooring on a base that should not be on causing uneven wear and tear and becoming lose and unstuck, countless people coming over "to fix things" and then not actually fixing them or doing such a bad job that it's broken again within a week. Paying £1000 for what? I'm so fed up with it now and have been in tears with frustration.
