"IR35 contract review"

Harlie was brilliant and took the time to talk me through all of the options for checking my first business contract. I purchased the IR35 Contract Assessment next day service and Kieran provided an excellent and thorough review, recommending amendments that seem subtle but important. Kieran was also very responsive when I called for clarifications on some of the notes. All together a very good experience and I would recommend them for new businesses who want to have a fresh pair of expert eyes to look at a contract from an IR35 tax perspective. It was all new to me and I now feel confident about it.

"Paid 5 times more than the cover was worth."

I took out a UK-wide policy expecting to be able to be recovered to home or my preferred garage in the event of a breakdown anywhere in the UK. But having been with the company for three years, I used them for the first time when 15 miles from home. The options offered were to have an engineer attempt a roadside repair and if he failed, I'd be stranded, or have the vehicle towed to a garage within 7.5 miles radius and I had to contact and choose the garage. As the breakdown was at 3pm, the likelihood of any garage getting the vehicle in time to repair it the same day was frankly impossible (2 injectors had lost their securing clamp) so this would have simply wasted that afternoon. I'm now held to ransom over the repair costs (and quality) as it's my responsibility to pick the garage (in an unknown area).

This was nothing like the service I expected for the £124 paid and I also take issue with their website that doesn't state you have to pick the repairing garage and under the cover for UK wide cover section "How We Help" it states that your vehicle will be taken to the nearest garage (which may be more than 7 miles away) and if it can't be repaired the same day, then you are transported home. The last sentence though states "Alternatively, we can deliver your vehicle to a repairer in either of those locations" which I took to be the cover I needed, but apparently it's after the local garage have failed to fix it. It may be a confusion of words but in a contract ambiguity can't exist. Avoid the use of this company at all costs as it's simply an expensive way to have your car transported to a garage no-one knows anything about and you have to deal with that when in the middle of a crisis.

"No Spare?"

Been with this company for 7 years. Used twice with previous car. Service good (not excellent). Just been sent a renewal reminder. On reading the documents (bored), I have discovered what means I will not be renewing. Apparently 95% of modern cars do not have an actual spare wheel. With road conditions (pot holes) getting worse, the chances of punctures has increased somewhat. This company will not attend unless you have a spare wheel. Game over.

"I am disgusted with the way been…"

I am disgusted with the way been treatedby this company the last. Four times I have. Needefdh they always made and use and found an excsur not to come out to me a they’re just pathetic and won’t be joining them again this year I’ve been within five years just got worse and worse and this is the worst year other than had I will never go with them again so many other companies that will respect your business. Certainly not this one don’t download it on.

"Excellent service and great comms"

We have three policies with QDOS as a family and have been with them for a few years. Had to use them a couple of times and the service has been excellent, waiting times not long and communication from the contact centre really good. We were kept informed of ETA times and a follow up call when completed.

"Van hit a pothole and damaged two tyres…"

Van hit a pothole and damaged two tyres and they refused to recover the vehicle. I have a fleet on 9 vehicles covered with QDOS and I wont be using them again. Terrible customer service

"A Spot of Bother Sorted Brilliantly by QDOS Breakdown"

Recently, I had to use my breakdown policy when I encountered a flat on a busy motorway and it was a stressful experience! Quick assistance, clear communication, and an empathetic team made the process less stressful and smooth. Big thanks to QDOS for their excellent breakdown service! Word of advice, have your policy details ready as it does make the process a whole lot smoother.

"DO NOT USE IF YOU ARE A BUSINESS WITH A FLEET OF VEHICLES - SCAM POLICY"

Another company has bought out what used to be a good service - no good anymore
I am writing this message with a heavy heart and profound disappointment regarding the breakdown assistance we experienced today. As a long-standing business customer of yours for several years, the recent incident has left me deeply dissatisfied and frustrated with the current policies in place.
Today, we encountered a breakdown, and when we reached out to your assistance service, the response was far from what we had come to expect. Instead of the efficient and customer-centric support we were accustomed to, we were told to find nearby garages within a 7-mile radius ourselves. This is a far cry from the excellent policy we initially signed up for.
What happened to the understanding and flexibility that used to be a hallmark of your services? We were shocked to learn about the rigid and seemingly inflexible approach, especially when we offered to pay an additional £100 for the convenience of having our vehicle returned to our yard—a mere 30 minutes away. Unfortunately, this request was declined, leaving us baffled and utterly disappointed.
It pains me to express my frustration and anger, but the lack of consideration and flexibility in your revised policy is truly disheartening. We have been loyal customers for years, and the current experience has compelled us to reconsider our association with your company.
The policy redesign seems to lack the practicality and customer-centric approach that initially drew us to your services. The absence of any flexibility in accommodating reasonable requests is, frankly, unacceptable.
Regrettably, after years of relying on your services, we have made the difficult decision to sever our ties with our company. It is disheartening to see a once-trusted service provider fall short of meeting the expectations that were set through years of partnership.
I sincerely hope that you take this feedback seriously and consider reevaluating your policies to better align with the needs and expectations of your loyal customers.

"Moved to ASDA Breakdown"

I have used QDOS for several years including using European breakdown service and have been generally quite satisfied.A recent experience was quite different and I will never use them again.
I am a community nurse and on my way home from work in the dark one evening was called to attend a TEAMS meeting. I pulled over to attend (on line, in my car)and the meeting lasted just under an hour.
I accidentally left my lights on during this time and unfortunately flattened the battery.
I called QDOS and gave my details and eventually was put through to the call centre in South Africa.After giving all my details for a second time and then put on hold the agent came back and said he was sorry but because I had left my lights on I had been negligent they would not attend to me. I asked what he could do to help and he said he would get me a list of local garages who might be able to help.
Perhaps I should have lied and just said the car wouldn't start.
Anyway, needless to say I won't be using them again.
