Renewal arrived, it did not mention a reduction in vehicle weight and size limit. I checked their website and this was also misleading quoting cover for vehicles up to 4250kg and length of 7m. However if you take time to trawl through all the policy you would find motorhome cover now if for vehicles up to 5.5m. So not really suitable as motorhome cover at all.

"Worse company ever"
Worse company ever.
The insurance company has paid QDOS 5 months ago. I have phoned many times with simple question. Why you are not processing my case and why we are not paid. The staff answer is to insult me over the phone, again and again.
It seems like the only thing they are good at is to insult, their customers. To this moment I have no idea why they are holding my money.
Before Processing your claim with them, try call and accountant department option 5 and you will see that they will never answer.
My advice stay away, there are better companies out there who actually treat their customers as humans.

It was a great deal at £40 a year one time breakdown cover (not that i want to use it). But now it's only unlimited callout at £99. Such a shame as the service was great. The man was helpful and friendly. Help arrived in 45mins. 10 seconds waiting time on the phone(which was excellent). Still 5 stars for the service and friendly driver but will not opt for the new policy due to increase.

Absolutely fantastic I have had to claim 2 times now and both times everyone on the phone has been very caring and professional, I was kept up to date every 30minutes, honestly couldent recommend enough
I currently have a policy with them and I’m in contact with the customer service in taking out another for my other vehicle

"Motorcycle accident in Belgium"
Motorcycle accident in Belgium! Broken collarbone & undiagnosed punctured lung. No other vehicles involved.
I was told i had to call & arrange my own return travel to UK, which i did whilst in extreme pain.
Messages not getting through from qdos uk to european counterpart!
Bike is in safe place but now being told it may have to go to a garage first before its brought home!
Not happy with whole experience!

Pro:
- Great translation service when abroad
- Swift road side recovery
Con:
- Lack of communication
- No consistency in what you are told by different people
- Not kept up to date about status of car even when it is delayed
- Fixed in France without permission (Quote was over 3 times as much in France)
- £ 150 to help cover cost of hire car, fine until you know that it will take over a month to get your car back, you're moving house and you're a young driver so it costs more than £80 a day for the cheapest car!
- Car delivered to wrong place, again no communication with their repatriation counterparts
- Lack of compassion, help and understanding
- 24 hour wait for a call from a manager, and if you miss it, you're back on the waiting list
Would not recommend.

Do not use this company I got a puncture in the highlands took an hour to get through I was told I'm not covered as the spare wheel bolts where seized on, needs shutting down

"Uncaring and Chaotic"
I had a flat tyre on a motorcycle in France on a Friday lunchtime. The bike was picked up by a breakdown truck that day and it then took QDos FIVE DAYS find a garage to repair the puncture. It would have been seven days before I got my bike back if I had not gone out and purchased a replacement inner tube myself and delivered it to the garage. When I realised that I was dealing with incompetents I called them at least twice a day and had to constantly badger them into doing anything at all. I am now having trouble getting them to send me a claim form. I contacted their claim line number and they said they would send me a form - which they didn't. I contacted them again and was told to send an email request to an address which is not on their policy documents. I am beginning to wonder whether this level of obfuscation is accidental or deliberate.

"Truly excellent service"
Truly excellent service. I was involved in a road traffic accident and they were calm and extremely responsive in helping get my vehicle recovered. I felt like I was in very safe hands, they managed to get someone there within half an hour and then they even called back to check that I was safe and ok. Thank you so much for taking my situation seriously and looking after me when I really needed you.

I used QDOS breakdown last year and had to call them out when my son locked the car keys in the car whilst on holiday in France!
The customer service was excellent and someone came within the our to retrieve the keys. I then received a follow up all to make sure I was happy with the service I'd received. I would definitely recommend.
