"Excellent private tour of Egypt for our family with tour guide Mahmoud Nour"

We just completed an 8 day private tour of Cairo, Luxor, Nile Cruise, Aswan and Abu Simbel. We are a family of 5 and had the most amazing tour guide, Mahmoud Nour. He is very knowledgeable and passionate in his explanations of the wonders of ancient Egypt that we were privileged to experience. Our children soaked in all the information Mahmoud imparted and was helpful in answering our questions. He was amazing in his organisation of all logistical matters as everything ran so smoothly. That was reassuring for us as we just sat back as he guided us on where we going and what we needed to do without us having to worry about anything. He was excellent in suggesting where to get certain souvenirs we were looking for and accommodated these unexpected stops along the way. He has a very calm nature and kind demure and clear in his communication. We have been on other tours before but he stood out as being exceptional in his role and very knowledgeable. He truly made this trip a memorable one for our whole family.
The tour company itself was also great to deal with. We booked this tour very last minute and they accommodated us well and had all arrangements confirmed fast. They were prompt in their email communication regarding any questions we had. Definitely would recommend them and Mahmoud Nour to those looking to travel to Egypt.

"I've never been more glad to come home!"

Worst holiday ever. Do not bother. Paid for a 5* luxury holiday to Egypt including all sight-seeing, tours and a Nile cruise - what we were given was not even 3*. The hotels were disgusting, the rooms were filthy and mouldy. The river cruise boat was falling to bits with electrical sockets and switches hanging out of the walls (AVOID MS Concerto). We complained to the tour operator and were told that we were in the "Royal Suite" so if we didn't like it, then we could cancel there and then (we were 5 days in to a 10 night trip, so not sure where they thought we were going to stay for 5 more days before our international flights home!). We instead asked for some money back to make the price fair for the conditions we were in, and they declined and told us that we were blackmailing them. This is absolutely NOT the case, consumers are covered by credit card insurance should goods/services be subpar (which they indeed were). I wish I could include some photos and videos of our shoddy accommodation (Hilton Conrad in Cairo, MS Concerto cruise boat, Hotel Continental in Hurghada) who I will also review separately. Check out my Google Review of ETP for those gems! They tried to fob us off by saying that the MS Concerto was one of the best boats on the river as the absolute best ones aren't running because of COVID - what they didn't factor in was the fact that all of the boats dock up side-by-side - that very night we walked through 3 of the most luxurious boats to get to our absolute shed of a boat. The tour guide didn't know what to say as he'd clearly been caught up in their lie and been found out!

In addition, when the tour says that "food is included", it is the WORST slop that you will ever eat. Absolutely VILE! The places they take you are tourist traps too so although your food is paid for, they'll be charging you 5 GBP for a small can of Coke or other soft drink (examples were Restaurant Al Khan and Restaurant Pyramids both in Cairo). They absolutely rinse you everywhere you go - ask the tour guides for REAL Egyptian food, it's way nicer and way cheaper. We won't be returning to Egypt any time soon, and certainly NEVER with this company - aggressive and rude rip-off merchants. I wouldn't bother paying extra for any of the other excursions (Nubian Village, hot air balloon etc.) as they're not worth the money or get cancelled last minute. Shame, as their tour guides are great, really well informed and friendly - they need to do themselves a favour and get attached to another tour operator!

I can't wait for the abusive response from the company by the way - everyone else who DARES to say anything bad about them on Trip Advisor is spoken to like a piece of trash for revealing the state of their business and operations! They only show everyone just how rude and terrible they are.

Our family had an amazing time, Egypt Tours Portal helped us plan out the perfect adventure. It was absolutely perfect from the moment we landed in Cairo to our drop off 8 days later in Cairo. We had 2 wonderful guides that took care of all our needs and were sure that we had a great time. Thank you Gouda and Hassan you are the best!

Disappointed! After much research, my friends and I chose Egypt Tour Portals to fulfill our dream of visiting Egypt. However, due to the global emergency caused by the coronavirus, we were unable to make our visit (our package was for the day 03/26/2020 to 04/04/2020). With the information we had, we consulted the tour operator, asking about how to proceed, and to our surprise, we were informed by them that our visit could not be rescheduled and the amounts paid as entrance, returned to us, cause they had already had expenses with our tours. What I simply cannot accept is that Government of Egypt closed Cairo airport from 03/19/2020 (it is still closed until 04/22/2020) and all Museums and archaeological sites from 03/23/20 2020 and IT WAS NOT OUR CHOICE not to be able to reach EGYPT! How would we arrive with the airport closed ?! I live in South America! Other serious tour operators, returned the amounts paid to their customers and / or made it possible to reschedule. Therefore, I believe that we were victims of a scam and I DO NOT RECOMMEND this operator to anyone.

We bought a package to which we paid 25% in advance. However, due to the coronavirus crisis, our reservations were canceled because all the tourist area in Egypt on the date we would be there was canceled. Even with this official government cancellation, the company refused to return the amounts paid, pocketing the amounts.
I do not recommend, be very careful, do not pay anything in advance, as they may lose your money !!!!

"One of the best tour operators in Hurghada"

It's the first time to visit Egypt, we are a couple from Uk traveled to Hurghada to spend our honeymoon vacation and during our stay in Oberoi Sahl Hasheesh I booked a day trip to Luxor from Hurghada with Egypt tours portal via search, it was an amazing experience in Luxor, our tour guide Ibrahim was passionate and proud of his history, our driver Ahmad was a great man, who take care of us during the trip, highly recommend.

We have booked overnight excursions from Hurghada to Luxor with Egypt tours portal, our guide Muhammad was an amazing man has a great knowledge by ancient Egyptian history, we visited Karnak temples, Hatshepsut temple, the Valley of the Kings my wife was very happy which that is a big reason to make me happy also, Luxor temple at night was a very impressive place.

My experience with Egypt Tours Portal was for one day trip from Hurghada to Cairo by plane, our tour guide Muhammad El Shimy was an amazing guy, we enjoyed our time in the Pyramids, the driver and lunch were wonderful, highly recommended and will try it with them again.
