"Exploring Aswan through riddles"

What a wonderful wonderful trip in Aswan we had with Mr. Makki (Mikki). His way of storytelling makes all the history interesting and never forgotten!!! He is very polite, soft spoken, cracks amazing jokes, and very helpful!!! He made our visits to high dam, Abu Simbel, Philae temples, and Obelisk a memorable one. His habit of taking short quizzes makes u more interested in listening to his stories further!! Best guide ever 👍👍👍 Highly recommended for Aswan trip. Thank you Mikki and Egypt Tours Portal for making this trip memorable!! I still remember all that you taught us!

"Hassan Ali scores big for Egypt Tours Portal"

Day 5 of my Egyptian tour was in Luxor, Egypt and my tour guide was Hassan Ali. Hassan was just as good, if not better than the other tour guides that I have had so far. He speaks with a passion and conviction of your favorite schoolteacher. You can tell he does this because he loves it, not just to make a living.

He encourages questions throughout the tour and even quizzes you on some of the things he’s talked about. During some of the tours, the tour guides are not allowed to go into the temples. But he encouraged us to take pictures of what we saw and ask him about it when we get out. I did this a few times, and you could see the bright smile on his face when this happened.

Egypt Tours Portal came through again with another great, friendly, well-organized tour guide in Hassan. All tours and travel accommodations were also made by the company, which simplified my trip greatly. I strongly recommend using them.

Reda, Mickey, Hassan and Egypt Tours Portal in Cairo, Aswan, and Luxor city visits have been a blast.

It's been like door to door service every day. They are great at communicating the plans and are easily accessible to message via WhatsApp.
They take care of all the travel itinerary and transportation leaving you to just enjoy the experience! As an experienced American driver, I've been relieved to not have to figure out how to manage the different type of traffic!

The guides are friendly, knowledgeable, and very accommodating. Listening to the stories they tell enhance the experience as you observe the pyramids and temples.

As a family of 6 with kids ages 14-8, it's been an overall great experience.

"Amazing experience "

We just finished a tour of Luxor and had Marian Azer as our guide and had the most amazing time! She was awesome from beginning to start, was knowledgeable and explained everything in simple terms where it was very easy to understand. She also gave us a lot of photo time knowing that I love photos. She did not rush us. She also took us to the most delicious restaurant where we had the best Egyptian food ever with a view of the Nile!! The hot air balloon was also an incredible experience. So far Luxor has been my favorite out of all the 3 cities I visited in Egypt. She also took our request when we said we wanted to get real Egyptian cotton materials and respected & understood that we didn’t want to get anything at the carving/art store. She wasn’t pushy at all which we loved. She made sure we were safe and took care of everything for us and made sure everything went smoothly. Thank you Marian for everything and hope to come visit Luxor and you again.

"Fantastic experience with ETP and Omar"

My partner and I had been planning a Nile cruise for a while, and ETP were super helpful from the moment I contacted them. Very quick and efficient communications, and our boat, the MS Esmeralda was amazing. All of the crew on board literally couldn't do enough for you with their friendly and attentive service, and the rooms on board were spacious and well appointed.

However, the absolute highlight of our Nile cruise was our incredible guide, Omar Haridi. He was so charming, friendly, kind and so knowledgeable. Every trip we took with him was an absolute pleasure, with his enthusiastic delivery of amazing facts, and making everything such fun. I learnt so much from listening to him, as his fantastic personality totally keeps your attention. We couldn't have wished for a better guide, and he absolutely made our holiday!

"Look for other tour companies"

1. Day 1: Arrival to the Cairo airport went smoothly, and I was greeted by Sobhy who assisted me with my luggage and transport. He was a friendly guy, but it was seriously crazy when he "accidently" showed me a photo of some pornography he had downloaded while searching for photos of his children. Overall review: 1/5 stars Tour of Giza Pyramids: I met Sarah on the tour bus after leaving the airport. My encounter with Sarah and the tour of the Giza pyramids was the best part of the tour. Not only was Sarah professional and courteous, but she was also very personable and seemed to genuinely care about me as a client. Overall review: 5/5 stars
2. Days 2: Transfer to Alexandria by private bus went well, and I was greeted by Marwa. Upon arrival, Marwa was already in a bad mood. She was curt and inattentive from the beginning. Come to find out later, she said that she lost her bracelet at Pompey’s Pillar, and she felt that no one would help her look for it if she said that it was hers since she is a local, so she asked me to cover for her and say that it was mine. Although our tour was supposed to end after lunch, I agreed to go to Pompey’s Pillar to help her. Overall review: 1/5 stars
3. Days 3 -8: Overall, even though my guide Ahmed was not as friendly and concerned as Sarah’s from Day 1, he was nice enough on the first two days. This all changed once we boarded the Nile Cruise on the MS Beau Rivage. There was not a problem in the beginning, but by the second day, the AC had gone out on the entire boat, and with the temperature at 101 in Luxor the previous day, the lack of AC was an area of concern. In addition to the lack of AC, the hot water went out for 2 days. Also, laundry, I put in a bag of clothes to be washed, only to find out two days later that the washing machines were broken, and my laundry was returned dirty. Finally, and this was the worst problem, was the lack of Wifi or data on the boat. I thought I was safe when I purchased a ESim card for both my phone and my Ipad by Airalo (which uses the Orange network in Egypt). Due to the lack of service with either of these, I also purchased the onboard Wifi (1GB for $5 USD). The first login I received did not work at all, and the replacement login that I was given only lasted for about 10 minutes before the message “time limit exceeded” popped up. On Days 6 and 7, I had online sessions scheduled for work for two hours, so with no Internet connection at all, I had to cancel my Day 6 work session. However, as I told my guide, I absolutely needed to have service on Day 7. Complaining so much on Day 6 about the poor Internet, lack of hot water, lack of AC, and lack of laundry service, I expected Ahmed to help with the situation. He said that he would, but his actions were few and far between. Since I did not have wifi service, I could not contact Egypt Tour Portal myself, and I expected that Ahmed would do this as the guide and their representative. In fact, I saw him on the phone several times and thought that he was doing just that. I told Ahmed that I would pay for a hotel myself in Aswan on Day 7, but that I needed his help in locating one close by the boat so that I could participate in the tours. Not only did he pretty much refuse to help stating that the “company would not pay for a hotel” and then getting a hot temper at me when I shouted at him to help me, I had to take matters into my own hands and demand that he help me. Luckily, while looking in front of the boat for a wifi-booster, we found a cheap hotel, and I was able to secure the hotel on my own. Once I arrived in Cairo, I contacted the company and told them about this problem, and they told me that Ahmed NEVER contacted them! Overall rating: 1/5 stars.
4. Days 8-10: Arrival back to Cairo went smooth, and I rested on Day 8 and 9. On Day 10, I met with my lovely guide Sarah from Day 1 for the last tour. I would recommend Sarah 100 percent. Overall rating: 5/5 stars
However, again I stayed at the hotel Barcelo in Giza. Again, my room did not have AC and in the third and final room I received, the wifi would not work. The entire fiasco took overnight on Day 8 and 4 hours into Day 9 to fix. Overall rating: 1/5 stars
