"Pyramids and Sphinx tour."
Our tour of The Pyramids and Sphinx was very well executed. I will recommend Egypt Tours Portal to anyone that would like to tour Egypt. They waited for us at the airport, and as we got of the plane, they even helped us to get through passport control. The guide is well educated and the driver also did an amazing job to get us to all the places very safely through the Egypt traffic. Even the Camel ride was awesome. Thank you very much!

"Egypt vacation"
Egypt was always a dream for me and my family. I hired Egypt Tours Portal and Ahmed Hamed was our tour guide for Giza and Cairo. Ahmed is a wonderful human being, very knowledgeable of ancient Egypt’s history. Ahmed main mission was to keep us happy, which he did. He made sure to explain everything thoroughly. We loved our trip to Egypt and can’t thank Ahmed enough. Would definitely hire again if we was to go back to Egypt.

WARNING
Do not use this company. They lied to us and used bait and switch tactics on our Nile River cruise.
We paid our deposit in January 2023 for a March 2023 8-day tour of Egypt. We paid extra to be in 5* and a 5* luxurious Nile cruise. They continuously refused our inquiries for the names of the hotels and boat (Nile cruise). On March 7, 2023 (3 days before our departure), they sent us an email giving us 2 hours to respond stating we " had to pay an extra $120 per night per person to be able to take the cruise". Their excuse was that there was a shortage of boats due to refurbishing for the upcoming Easter. This was simply a lie – March is part of the peak season and there were hundreds of boats on the river.
The boat they placed us on was not even rated a One Star. There was excessive mold in the bathrooms, there was no running water or power at times and when the water was working, it was often cold. Our cabin had a broken shower door, the shower would not drain, the cupboard and drawers were falling apart, etc. Electricity and lights would not work at night. Without electricity the water in the sink, toilet and shower would not run. The crew would turn the WIFI on for at most 2 hours per day.
All the passengers on the boat were unhappy with the tour company and were subjected to the ‘bait and switch’. It was pre-planned by the tour company to fleece us and could not have been a coincidence. One family of four was in transit between flights when they received the email of the extra charge for the cruise. To add insult to injury when the first passenger called Egypt Tours Portal to complain, they told her there is nothing wrong and that she is the problem.
This is a very unscrupulous company, which is not responsive to repeated requests, is out to gouge tourists and is shameless, to say the least, by not resolving genuine issues. DO NOT BOOK with EGYPT PORTAL TOURS!

"8 adults and 5 childrens( 9 and 5 years…"
8 adults and 5 childrens( 9 and 5 years old)we asked (and payed so much!!!) for a tailored tour for KIDS and they booked flights with arrival in luxor at 1 a.m. and departure from aswan at 3 a.m.!!!!
At EVERY, I underline EVERY, hotel check in we needed to request the 3’ extra bed for kids ‘cause no one booked it from the agency!!! A family of 4 slept in 3 beds after 1 hour of waiting!!!!
We payed the presence of a tour guide ( even the journey on the boat with us!!) who didn’t even speak italian very well and wasnt able to interest us in his “talking” about temples!!!
We SPECIFICALLY asked for a luxury ship( and payed for it, 2 months in advance!!) : first, they tried to ask for extra €1000 8 days before departure, then they assigned us lower deck cabins!!!!
You STOLE our money!!
SHME on you!!

We were seriously planning to book with this company. There were as many 1 star reviews as 5 stars. We are not willing to put that much money on a tour with this much discrepancy

"Quite unimpressed with them"
Quite unimpressed with them. Would recommend finding other tour operators.
The good
Their logistics was somewhat ok - they picked us up on time and took us to the sights we were supposed to go to. Their tour guide Mahmoud Nour who was our guide on the nile cruise and in Luxor and Aswan was very knowledgeable and accomodating and helped us with any problems we had. Highly recommend him and you will enjoy the tour part if he is your guide.
The bad
1. Flight Ticket - we were not given a copy of our flight ticket from aswan to cairo. We checked the portal and it was not there (there was an itinerary for cairo-luxor). We went into the airport with no ticket and only with a flight number hoping there were no screw ups. That was very unprofessional of them. A couple we met who also booked through them had faced major problems cos they got the name on the ticket wrong. Thankfully that didnt happen with us but we were just lucky cos we werent even provided with a copy of the ticket.
2. Nile cruise - The Nile Cruise was very very mediocre. If you get booked on te Nile Style (which was our vessel), be prepared for a very old and dated vessel with NO internet connection (the guide was buying everyone sim cardseven thought the vessel is supposed to have free wifi), very mediocre food and staff that doesnt care at all.
ETP promised us 5* nile cuirse and we saw that many of the other boats which we passed through on many days were far better than our vessel - but they booked us on this terrible vessel. That was a huge disappointment given we were on our honeymoon trip. Mahmour Nour was excellent and helped us get upgraded but there was no effort from ETP.
3. Hotels - Worst part - for one of our hotels, they booked us in a room with twin beds instead of a king bed. When we complained, we received no response from them. In fact, they blamed us for not making it clear we needed a king / joint bed. I had mentioned a million times to them that this is a honeymoon trip. What more do i need to say. They refused to give a refund or do any form of service recovery for a very bad stay in what was supposed to be a very good hotel. We called our guide who said he would speak to the boss and sort it out but nohting happened. We tried asking the hotel who also didnt help us out. The most infuriating part was ETP taking 0 responsiblilty for this screw up and blaming us instead for not asking for a joint bed. We are a married couple on our hoenymoon trip. You know that. What more do you need us to say?
4. Effort - Even though i had repeatedly requested that they try to make this trip special for us as it was our hoenymoon trip, they put in 0 effort. In contrast, when we extended our stay in cairo and i informed the hotels that i booked directly about our honeymoon, each hotel did something special for us. But ETP couldnt care less and there was no effort to try to make this trip special.
Once they have received their money, they do not care about the guests at all. And this is an extremely overpriced trip for the kind of service we received.
They were slightly cheaper (but NOT cheap) compared to other toup operators but we saw why - there was no quality to the arrangements.
Would highly recommend going with other more established tour operators who actually put in an effort for their guests.

"Perfect in every way"
Since I was young, I dreamt of seeing Egypt. I came across a web page by national geographic and sent the package they offered to a friend who is a travel agent. She suggested Egypt Tours Portal and highly recommended them as she couldn't even compete with their packages and rating. I did much research and chose the 15-day five-star experience. I can say, I've only made few perfect choices in my life but choosing ETP was the best decision and of my high expectation to see as much as possible and learn more than I've read in my countless books on Egypt, it exceeded my expectations by a thousand percent. I watched other guides with their tours and saw how bland they were and especially a large group how much you couldn't hear or move at a pace catered to you. I was paired with unbelievably amazing guides. Communication when pick-ups were made, the driver's professionalism, the individual experience and safety was mind blowing. I want to show a special mention to our guides, Walid Ahmed who was our guide along the river Nile to "Upper Egypt". Walid was caring to cater to our interests and modify our experience that we had the best experience and many laughs. His knowledge was mind blowing of every site and even while driving shared stories and history. We left Egypt calling Walid a friend. Lower Egypt and Alexandria our guides name was Noura Abraham. The sweetest most caring lady I've met. Her knowledge, passion and education was incredible. she even went out of her way to help us negotiate at the Bazaar or other places gifts could be bought. We also left Egypt calling Noura a friend. Egypt Tour Portals deserves at 20-star rating from my experience. From the moment i booked, to landing in Cairo, to meeting times or pickups it was flawless. Thank you ETP for the best dream trip of my life!

"Tour of Cairo with excellent guide Reham Sabry"
This was my first trip to Egypt from the U.S. with my guide, Reham Sabry. She and her driver picked me up at my hotel for my 1/2 day tour.
I told Reham my 3 goals for my tour were the following.
1. Visit the Pyramids
2. Take a camel ride
3. Visit the Sphinx
Reham was an excellent guide for the tour! She studied Egyptian history before she was a tour guide. Her English presentation and knowledge of Cairo and Egyptian history was outstanding. I learned so much about Egyptian culture from Reham.
We also went to visit two other places on the tour.
1. Papyrus Museum - The museum demonstrates how paper was made from the Papyrus plant and used for paintings displayed in the museum.
2. Golden Bird Bazaar Jewelry Store- Great selection of Egyptian Jewelry.
In Summary, the whole tour with Reham was outstanding. The pictures Reham took of me at the Pyramids, Sphinx and camel ride were great.
Reham is an outstanding tour guide and recommend her to anyone needing a tour guide in Cairo.

"Thank you Reham! Ask for Reham for Cairo dream tour!"
We visited Luxor for a day (very good, separate review left) and then flew to Cairo for one day, from Luxor with Reham Sabry as our guide and Egyptologist and she was phenomenal. 5****** Best day of our trip by a long way.
The whole experience was a dream, from on time pick up at our hotel in Sahl Hasheesh, Hurghada, to the itinerary and documents arrangements, everything. This company is amazing, but Reham is truly special. Reham is the best guide, ASK FOR REHAM! Being a local and an academic Egyptologist, Reham knows Cairo and ancient Egypt, Islamic landmarks, the culture and best places to see etc. Her knowledge is exceptional, her English language better than anyone else's we met in two weeks here in Egypt. Reham was very lovely, ensuring I had a gluten free veggie breakfast and lunch, made sure we were always comfortable, listened to our requests and itinerary, even (at my request) took us to a brilliant jewellery store instead of the papyrus museum because I asked where I could get a necklace like hers. Reham understood we did not want to ride horses or camels because of ethical reasons and respected all our requests and declinations with no hard sell or attitude. Little things go a long way in Egypt, for e.g. when Reham noticed one of the scammers was withholding toilet roll for large bills, she sorted it out immediately and et voila, toilet roll! Priceless.
There was no pressure to visit, do or buy anything when we were with Reham, she simply wanted us to have fun and enjoy the sights. The photos she took of us at the pyramids, sphinx etc were perfect - fun poses with the sphinx and us holding the pyramids, optical illusions, etc. Reham was our personal expert as we spent three happy hours in the Cairo Museum. Even there, Reham knew what we wanted to see, allowed lots of history questions and all through the trip Reham taught us helpful and fun phrases! Reham even sent me Spotify links to local pop artists and all the photos she took throughout our trip. We never felt rushed, we were safe at all times and we have made a friend in Reham. We cannot recommend or thank her enough, we felt safe and had laughter all day long, even though we were tired from a very hot day in Luxor.
Please ask for Reham in Cairo and Hosham in Luxor and use Egypt Tour Portal - they are fantastic, totally reliable, knowledgeable and you will love Egypt so much more having paid a bit more than some other companies for their experience. All the drivers were kind and on time, taking care of checkpoints and water, toilet stops, etc. We hope to return to see Alexandria with Reham soon! ❤️
