This was a very difficult process with lots of communication needed with the LA who continued to make things up as they went along!
Gurvinder secured a Barrister for Tribunal who done an amazing job of pointing out the reasons why our placement was the most suitable school for our daughter.
We won the decision and are now looking forward to our daughter getting the provision she needs and attending a school where we know she'll be happy and thrive!

"Not a good service"

Thanks for the reply - I would not be interested from a phone conversation with a senior partner - found the service, impersonal, inefficient, inadequate and non courteous - clinical negligence is a joke in this country and some institutions get away with murder - as someone with a life sciences background know so - if you are not prepared to engage in a decent dialogue with the claimant at first instance we will go elsewhere - I am not wasting my time with you - I already submitted tons of info and got a one sentence response alongside rubbish signposting...I am also an academic and I know what good customer service is.

We are extremely grateful for the work by Guv Samra on our recent case. After a terrible experience with another firm (Melinda Nettleton, Principal Solicitor at SEN Legal), I had lost all faith in the Legal system. Guv restored it. She was extremely responsive (very unusual with solicitors typically in my experience!), pragmatic, honest and persistent. She went above and beyond to ensure we obtained the right provision and setting for our son. She is extremely knowledgeable and acts swiftly. "Awful law firm to consider for your…"

Awful law firm. I contacted the National Accident Helpline (NAH) to report Medical Negligence. NAH were responsible for finding a suitable law firm to consider my potential legal claim. NAH appointed Shoosmiths to consider the Medical Negligence. Despite providing clear evidence to the firm regarding the NHS causing serious harm to my late stepfather. The firm failed to look at this evidence that had taken over a year of my time to obtain the information. Shoosmiths appear to be a very unprofessional law firm from my experience and have obstructed any opportunity to take this case forward. I have needed to report my findings back to NAH as they need to be aware of what this firm has just done. NAH have responded with the following.

NAH - I have logged details of your complaint so that it can be reviewed by our Partnerships Director, who will take this into account when we are next looking to review our working relationships with Shoosmiths.

I am left deeply upset by Shoosmiths who are clearly not interested in legal cases that require more time. I am satisfied NAH have taken this seriously and would hope they think twice before putting someone in touch with this firm who really needs their help. I would not be recommending sending sensitive medical records such as a autopsy report to this firm along with further highly sensitive documents. The firm from my experience are very unprofessional and I have been left concerned with how these documents have been left with the firm also.

With the above in mind, I have reported the firm to the legal Ombudsman service. The firm had been issued with a formal complaint that gives the firm 8 weeks to respond. The firm issued a unsatisfactory response within 48 hours that raised concerns. I will now ensure the Legal Ombudsman service has a full understanding of what has happened here with Shoosmiths.
