Even if you submit all the information well before renewal date it takes weeks and we are just a very small family company just two director/operatives no employees and work from home. Never work in construction just day to day repairs The yearly fee for such a smell company is extortionate but if we pay you more can get it sorted quicker, that’s diabolical

We've been with them for 20 years and had a call today to tell me they are changing their invoicing. We pay £1100 per year membership and now they want to bill £55 per company we do business with. So that will be £1800 per year extra. I don't think so. I recommend no one joins safecontractor. Disgusting.

Paid for the express service, to be a member within a few days, 3 mths later still not a member, Im a small 4 man business, the criteria to pass is pedantic and laborious to say the least, wont pass something as it needs to be signed, want a RAM sheet changing to add a location even though we work all over the UK, health and safety paperwork for all my sub contractors who work 3hrs away, quite ridiculous to be honest, no bend in them at all, wont take my word for it, antiquated software system that wont allow you to digitally sign meaning you have to print it off, re-scan it and email it back! come on guys its 2025 not 1985......on top of all this I keep getting sales bumph trying to get me to spend more money!

I hate these companies with a vengeance!
They call themselves vendor assessors. I call the likes as money for the boys clubs. The burden of a small company paying the likes is crippling. Why should you be forced to keep companies like this in business is a mystery to me! We have the HSE at great cost to the tax payer and extortionate insurance why we need them beggers belief!
Whatever you do don't give them your credit card number you will be auto renewed!

"Poor Service - Waste of Money "
I was a member of Safe Contractor for two Years. Each membership I paid for the Assisted.
The Overall experience was bad, they are quick to onboard you and take your money but the assistance is limited.
It took a long time to get the assistance on year one, finally after a few months and dealing with one competent member of staff, I was approved.
Year Two they took my money but offered no assistance.
When I called to complain I got a very generic response, they didn't offer to extend my membership or help me.
I have now decided to go with CHAS, I am not sure what they will be like but going from my experience with Safe Contractor , it wont take much to be better than them.

I would not recommend this SafeContractor to any construction company looking for a reliable 3rd party Safety Site. There are others out there that will go to bat to help you so that you can use the program properly.
SafeContractor is horrible, I am enrolled with 3 other safety sites and this is the worst customer support with an I.T. problem. This has been going on now since, NOVEMBER 2024, they have done nothing to help me.
I am not compliant because I cannot sign in to the program and they don't know what the issue is.
My account manager at SafeContractor is not helping he now passed me on to a new manager who has only been there less than a year. He spoke to me once and said he is now my contact person, he left me no email or phone number to reach out for help. But, he did say, an I.T. person will get a hold of me shortly. This took a few days for this person to send me an email - no personal contact he said he is working on it and asked me to verify my email address which I have had since I signed up with SafeContractor. (4-5 years)
I have written emails, but now they do not even respond or offer any help.
This is the worst support, actually what support? I am not receiving any support whatsoever I have been waiting 3 and 1/2 months and still the same I cannot sign in because the system does not recognize my profile.
This is obviously an issue at their end but no one knows how to help me or how to fix it.
I AM WARNING YOU BE VERY CAREFUL as to who you choose as a 3rd party safety system.
SafeContractor is a VERY VERY BAD CHOICE.
