I got transferred (at least my wife did) to Eqi from Selftrade. Have had a couple of problems since then but the customer service we got was good. However just lately likel to day I want to log on and can't. I have had messages about corporate actions (on RDSA) but when I log there is no info.. The website has been down/slow on other occasions recently. I am getting fed up I run my daughters account on HL who are rubbish, and have my own with interactive who are not always great but are superbly priced and worth working with. I think this account is due a change unless Eqi improve quickly

"Avoid if you want to trade"
It is impossible to trade quickly on EQI. It is very often overwhelmed and cannot process my buy or sell requests.
This morning has been beyond a joke, I have been unable to access EQI at all fir the past hour.
This platform is costing me money due to inability to trade!

Recently moved over from a competitor.. Yes EQi’s mobile app and website is a bit tired in comparison to others but positives so far are:
1) did a share certificate transfer with no issues. Competitor didn’t offer this service due to COVID
2) Was able to trade shares online (Aquis exchange). Competitor made me call their dealing desk each time (£50 charge)
3) EQi always answer the phone within 5-10mins. Competitor took over an hour and I lost 10k as a result of market moving
Yes EQi don’t have the most polished website or mobile app and they are a bit more “old school” but no issues so far. I would recommend them for sure.
I’m sure EQi will improve their website and app over time!

Was moved into EQI recently and I'm very unhappy with their service. The last two days have been spent watching swirling circles and getting constant contact customer service messages when trying to trade. Early mornings usually, when most needed, the site is like watching someone pour treacle, and no, its not my broadband speed. This morning can't even access secure messages... Poor is an understatement.

Poor service they constantly ask you to send things in the post without prepaid envelopes and then return them to you as they didn’t need them after all. I found the whole experience of trying to open a dealing account and ISA with them a waste of time and have taken my business elsewhere

I have 3 accounts with EQI and I'm getting annoyed that their website is frequently down. Since selftrade went to them their website performance has went downhill. I'm going to look at shifting accounts. This is poor performance midweek when people are using the account.

"Non Existent Customer Service and responses"
I have been with EQI for a long time but will be changing. No real time share prices for a start. I needed a contract note from a few years ago but the secure EQI email was corrupted. I asked for it in November 2020 and after over 8 unanswered emails, 20 minutes on the phone where I was promised a call within 48 hours I received nothing. I finally spoke to the FCA and contacted the Financial Ombudsman and got it in February. Also wrote to their interim CEO and still no final reply. An appalling customer service.

I have been with equiniti shareview for many years and would give them 5 stars, but since being upgraded to eqi i have found the website extremely difficult to navigate, this is not helped at all by only having a letter box view and constantly having to scroll up and down. After persisting for 4 weeks i have to say that the new site is not fit for purpose. Also i understand there is no app available for my android phone, so i have no choice but to look for another platform. Very disappointed to be treated like this after many years of good service.

Service is always available and efficient, however current share prices are not always up to date.
