"Amar from EQI rang me this morning to…"
Amar from EQI rang me this morning to explain what was happening with my account..
So a big thanks to him.
EQI eventually did exactly as I requested. My earlier review may have been slightly hasty, If it had been easier to speak to someone at EQI I wouldn't have written it..

"Awful service from this company"
Awful service from this company , when they were Selftrade they were good
Under EQI the customer service is dreadful , stay away , I am moving to Hargreaves as quickly as I can
Stay away , you have been warned
Update
EQI ..did contact me via my mobile , only left a first name
called back ,20 minute wait ,a lady working in Head Office answered , could not find the contact who had called him
promised 100% someone would call back no later than Tuesday 5pm , now Thursday ,no call back
Just submitted transfer of investments , no one should but up with this level of poor service
kind regards

"Every time I phone."
Every time I phone, the Automated response, after asking my details, replies " sorry I may have not got your details correct, please give again" or a phrase to that effect. Upon repeating the details, the same response again. What is wrong with your system --it is infuriating!!!!!!

"Extremely angry!!!"
Extremely angry!!!
I used to love EQI:
✔The great fees
✔The fast support time
And
✔The huge variety of stocks you could buy
Now they are throwing it all away and are going with interactive investor
I'm even more worried at the fact that I can't continue to buy the stock that I love since interactive investor don't sell them but EQI does
What will I do now???

"EQi are selling the Shares Platform and…"
EQi are selling the Shares Platform and us all down the river to Interactive Investor (ii). This is more hassle for me and on my estimation another £50 a year for me in fees based on my low trading activity.
I've read the ii price promise but its so full of caveats its probably all a waste of time. I am really annoyed with EQi they acquired the business from Selftrade and now seem to be leaving long standing customers high and dry with the prospect of hassle and extra charges on the ii platform. I really don't want all the bother of transferring but it seems I am stuck with now trying to find an alternative new platform that meets my needs. So much for customer loyalty.

"Very poor service should be refered. Sorted by Amar"
Have been trying for nearly a year now to change my address, without success. very quick to take your money, but not good with it and difficult to contact. I would stay well clear.
a big thank you to Amar for the call, all has now been sorted. ask the right person the right question and things happen.

"Hopeless. Avoid at all costs."
Before EQI took over Seltrade, the service was second rate. Since then, it’s gone from bad to worse. The latest example is today. I tried several times to place a trade via the app. The message was that there was a connection failure. I even tried changing the way I was connecting but I got the same message. I know this was false because I’d just placed several trades on my Hargreaves Landsdown account via its app without any problem. At least with Seltrade the customer service was OK. With EQI, I’ve already been holding for more than 10 minutes and I haven’t got through to anyone. That’s despite answering all their automated questions and they give some pathetic excuse about COVID and staffing levels. That just doesn’t wash anymore. I’m now giving up and hanging up. I think Interactive Investors are taking over and I just hope they’re better.

"Having been an investor with Selfrade…"
Having been an investor with Selfrade from circa 2006, then moved to EQi as the business was sold, I was relatively happy with things.
Having to now trace documents through 2006 to current, I can say that my first impressions are correct.
EQi's platform has a pretty good system where you can access all your contracts, correspondence and statements although having to open each one then mouse click again to open a pdf is laborious especially if you find it is not the one you are looking for!
Downloading the PDF's is then simple although I prefer to mark them as do not delete and access them later when I need to.
My files from late 2013 are all available and prior to that I had paper copies which I have kept.
There are some historical files which I cannot open however EQi are looking into that for me.
Overall, quite a good engine.
