EQi

"Unsatisfactory"
Every time I tried to log in to this site I had to change my pass number, and often the facility to update it was not available. Obviously stopping me from trading.
Recently they made me change my long standing direct details, which I did as I had started using a second account. Despite this they took my two recent dividend payments to an internal account to cover their quarterly fees .
I had to ask them twice for the credit funds to be repaid as I closed my account.
Finally Trustpilot were not able to accept my review

"EQi review"
EQi's main failing is the technology and cost. It is frequently impossible to deal online in stocks that are open and trading, especially overseas listings, and a phone call to a dealer is required. This seems to be a result of dealing in a different currency, although often the error message claims the requested online size is too great. My suspicion is that EQi is OK for the novice investor but for anyone wanting more diversity in instruments or a higher volume of trading, it is not appropriate. Given what else is available in the market, the cost of each transaction is also too high.

"Lack of contact on matters"
It is clear that communication is not a part of the contract. How do you get in touch ?

Very unhappy with the service from EQI/Gaudi
I asked for my SIPP to be transferred from Killik last year and I'm still waiting.
I'm surprised that something so simple can take so long

"I have a number of issues with EQI."
I have a number of issues with EQI.
First, if you want to deal on a minor stock exchange, say in Europe, there is no list to tell you whether you can. One can only find the ISIN for that share and try it. The members of our investment club cannot be given any prior guidance when searching for shares.
Secondly, we are currently having an issue with a number of tiny errors on the membership of our investment club, plus W8-Ben forms for the USA. Some of these errors are ours and some are EQI’s. Not only did EQI omit to tell us by not posting their reply by mistake, but they are very very slow at resolving the issues. This is causing us loss as we cannot deal in US shares. Still waiting at 16th February and we sent all our papers before Christmas.

"Many positives"
Easy to use, decent execution, very competitive and transparent on costs. Corporate actions (e.g. rights issues) well handled. Feels sensibly pro-customer!

"Not the best website and no android app"
Been with this company since the days it was comdirect, but really don't like the website, compared to other companies I use its been left behind and the colours are really drab. There is no android app which is a negative.
And Now
"Too bad I had to leave."
I had dealing, ISA, and SIPP accounts with them when Selftrade became EQI and had stayed with them for 10 years. This was a six figure investment. Because of onerous T&C's and high fee's I have had to extract myself from the SIP and ISA and am left with a dealing account that is expensive to run and exorbitant to close as unlike most of the industry they have not removed significant EXIT FEES.

"Useless account and customer centre"
Created my LISA account and in 2 weeks they weren't able to activate it. Contact customer centre via secure message, never got an anwer, via phone call nobody were able to give me an answer "let's wait", via email "It's not a secure way to communicate contact consumet centre.
Worst service ever 1/10
Customer centre appreciate the effort of some but still useless, other were just annoyed and treating you quite badly 2/10

"I complained as I was being charged…"
I complained as I was being charged when I couldn't sell a frozen asset. I had no real way of leaving EQi and avoiding fees. I was disappointed in their reply.
