"Old Printworks developement, Frome"

The apartment we purchased at the Old Printworks is lovely. Sadly Acorn Aftercare is appalling. Six months down the line and there are still serious issues with the fire alarm system, the video enrty system for the flats still doesn't work, smoke seals on doors incorrectly fitted and still not replaced and the list goes on. Acorn Aftercare responses to issues with condescending replies and never follows up. Many homeowners on the delvelopment have similar issues with outstanding defects. Would I buy an Acorn property again? NO

A year on now from taking the keys to a lovely apartment in Poole from Acorn Property Group sadly the aftercare service and communication received from them, especially recently, has been very disappointing. The snagging, which happens in all new properties and is not unexpected, has still not been finished successfully. We are still waiting for the main self-closing door to self-close which is a security risk as the door is often to be found open, the entrance window is still cracked, redecoration due to a flood nearly a year ago has still not been carried out fully, the lift has broken down several times, the flooring in the apartment is lifting, the hot water from the taps takes an age to come through and the balcony still leaks when it rains. The block itself is also overheating and although initially accepting there is a problem and offering to help with the issue, this has yet to happen.

I bought this property and moved in three weeks ago; everything about it has fulfilled my retirement dream - to live by the seaside in a quality apartment. I still smile when I open the curtains every morning, bliss.
Rebecca and Sue in the marketing suite were so helpful throughout the whole process, with great communications and always available to answer those little queries. If only all the solicitors involved were as 'on-the-ball'!
As with all new build projects there were some snagging issues, but these are being quickly being whittled down by the various trades involved.

PS. It doesn't always rain in Wales!!

Sammy, the New Homes Advisor and Sales Co-Ordinator at the their head Quarters in Bromley was the most supportive and nicest person I could have had to help me through the process of buying my property. She always made sure I understood what was going on, what was to come next, and how to prepare. This review is long overdue but buying my property through Acorn was a decision I do not regret. I use the lawyers the recommended and I had zero issues - the only time I had an issue was because of the broker I chose.

The people at this company are the most professional and friendly people. I was also buying my property right before the Stamp duty holiday was almost over in 2021 but they still gave me the attention required and worked as efficiently as possible to get everything in time. If it wasn't for Sammy I don't think I'd have gone through the whole process without any problems.

Very productive week of after-care from Tomasz and his team at The Old Printworks. Several small but important snags put right and, in some cases, items we weren't even aware of e.g. electric sockets with USB connections. Generally, lots of activity on the site with more people moving in as well as substantial work on the commercial block and phase 2 building. Spring is sprung, it seems.
