"WARNING - BOOKING TOUR 12 DAYS LAND OF THE SAMURAI-JAPAN"
WARNING
In April 2024 I booked a tour with On the Go Tour (12 Days Land of the Samurai, scheduled to depart on October 12, 2024).
On August 8th, I received an email from Nicola Comley informing me that the tour had not met the number of participants required to proceed. So, On the Go Tours decided to cancel the tour.
It was not easy for me to understand the tour cancelation since on July 29th I received an email from Lauren Harris requesting my passenger details, and emergency contact. On August 3rd, I received another email from Samantha White reminding me that the full payment for the tour will be due on August 13th. So, I asked myself, how is it possible that only five days after receiving these two emails, they are informing me that the tour was cancelled?
I talked to the manager Alex Gonsalves to let him know that I had already bought the airplane tickets, and I forwarded the e-tickets to him. He was very rude. He said it was not his business, and that it was an issue I had to solve with the airline.
I had the feeling that Alex Gonsalves did not tell me the truth. So, a friend of mine called On the Go Tours to book the tour (12-Days Land of the Samurai) taking place in Japan on October 12. My friend was told that this tour was fully booked, not cancelled.
Once you pay an airline, they do not refund money. So, I had to deal with the rush to find another tour company, to change arrangements I had already made, which caused me more expenses. Just changing the ticket with the airline cost me $500
On The Go Tours promotes the highest level of service to its customers. However, as a company, I found the information provided to customers is not honest and trustworthy. What is the guarantee we have with this company when we pay a deposit to book a tour, only to be told later that the tour has been cancelled! when that is not the truth. As a customer, I did not feel respected and this company does not build trust.

" 13day Magical Morocco tour"
I recently went on the 13day Magical Morocco tour (I chose this tour as it includes Chefchaouen). Our tour guide Aziz and our driver Hasan were with us the entire trip. Aziz is an outstanding guide and always professional, knowledgeable, extremely helpful with warmth of personality. Hasan was an excellent safe driver. I would highly recommend this tour for an unforgettable Morocco experience.

"Worst tour guide and terrible hotels "
Tour guide was hopeless ! Spent no time with us and only gave information of cities visited whilst on the bus. We were dropped off at points and given a meeting point and time and he would disappear.
Hotels were mediocre and the trip was not worth the $10k spent. It was a tour in Italy 🇮🇹 around Matera Alberobella Lecce and Galipoli . Beautiful places but sometimes we were dropped off at times when nothing was open ! Our guide didn’t even offer us water until I saw there was an esky on the bus and h3 was helping himself to one as he got off the bus it knowing I was still on the bus! I called him out on it and shamed him ! Then we were offered water ….on day 4 of our 6 day tour!
I’ve emailed the company ….called them and received a call from a representative in London but nothing more than a “ oh we are so sorry” . Absolutely waste of hard earned money . Better to hire a private driver !

"13 Day Morocco tour"
I went on a 13 day Morocco tour which I thoroughly enjoyed. Aziz as the tour guide and Hassan as the driver. I thoroughly recommend this tour which was so good because of the size of the group (9), group members, and the fantastic Aziz and Hassan. Great memories.

"I recently spent a week touring…with on the go tours"
I recently spent a week touring magnificent Morocco in an air conditioned mini bus, fully guided by Aziz. He was our friendly and very knowledgeable tour person along with Zaid, the equally friendly and competent driver. The roads are in good condition and it was great bearing witness to all the many and varied types of agriculture en route to the major cities. We experienced the food, the cultures, the souks, riads and medinas, the languages and varied and rugged landscapes. The whole experience was a feast and highly recommendable.

"Totally Morocco tour was great!"
Totally Morocco tour was great! Pre booking agent was quick and thorough. Our tour guide Aziz was fantastic! He was friendly, knowledgable and very helpful.
Zaid was a great driver.
The tour is a bit rushed but you know this when booking - it is a lot of ground to cover within the timeframe so your choice.
Small, fun group of people. Would definitely recommend!

"Casablanca to Essouria-super tight"
The Casablanca to Essouria tour was spectacular. Great hotels and transportation. Jamal was fun, responsive and knowledgeable and very kind. Hassan was an amazing driver.
My only complaint was that the amount of time in the van left little time to explore. I felt very herded and often rushed. But I am not the tour type..

"Do not trust that you are getting a good deal with On The Go Tours"
Just finished a small vessel cruise throughout the islands of Croatia. While on board we found out that booking directly with the cruiseline would have been much much cheaper. At the point of booking in January I did not know that On the go tours uses Katarina cruises. That means that they charge a high commission and still tell you that you are saving a large percentage on your booking. Live and learn. Not using On the Go tours again!!!!

"Just done 12 day tour of Sri Lanka"
Just done 12 day tour of Sri Lanka. First 5 days of tour was just the 2 of us stuck in the back seat of a car with windows so black we could hardly see out . All we got to see was the back of a head rest. Then got left in Pigeon Island resort for 2 nights a place that should have been bulldozed 30 years ago. Staff were rude and unhelpful and when we paid cash for drinks etc they were added again to our final bill. Sadly none of our accommodation was near shops or other restaurants forcing us to eat in expensive hotels with almost the same menu which got rather monotonous Tour guide Thalal did not even stay in the same accommodation as us at all. Paid $30 USD each to visit a museum for just 20 mins and was not allowed to take photos. Paid $35USD each to climb Sigiriya but due to health reasons both of us were unable to participate but no refund offered. Due to lack of time the others only got to half way and saw nothing any way. Itinerary included tuk tuk ride to top of mountain to over look Kandy but no one got to do that. There was 3 different itineraries that we know of and all said we were doing different things each day. MANY things on the different itineraries were never done but again no refunds offered . On our last hotel Monog our second tour guide just dumped us before we even got our room allocations and bolted. Never saw or heard from him again even though some people tried to contact him. Monog would speak to one person and think every one else was up to speed. If some one would ask Monog a question he did not like he would just walk away with out answering the question as though you did not exist. Bus driver was great. Sri Lanka is an amazing country to visit and we are very glad to have done it but unfortunately On the go tours sadly let us down. NEVER AGAIN
