"Bugiardi e ladri"

Comprato la assicurazione per mia madre e poi non volevano aiutarmi quando lei si ha fato male cascando. La raggione era che diccevano che la assicurzione si ha comprata dopo che lei e´uscita dal Italia. Che stupidagine...allora perche essiste online vendita di assicurazione???

"Eccezionale!!! Consiglio vivamente"

Eccezionale!!!!
Io e mio marito viaggiamo molto e ogni anno stipulo questa assicurazione annuale per i vari viaggi che facciamo ( ad eccetto del 2020 causa COVID)
Prezzo molto competitivo e servizio clienti ottimo.
Abbiamo anche purtroppo avuto l’occasione di doverla utilizzare a Cuba perché mio marito ha avuto una polmonite e ci siamo sentiti seguiti benissimo e i rimborsi sono stati immediatamente riconosciuti.
Non appena torneremo a viaggiare la rinnoveremo!

"SAN DIEGO 2019..."

Viaggio negli stati uniti 2019.... mia mamma è stata male con dolori alla pancia... andata al pronto soccorso di San diego o meglio chiamato.... ER.... Tac all'addome basso + esami sangue e urine completi +visita.... fattura ricevuta 6000 dollari.... tornati a casa fatta la pratica via email con la gestione sinistri inviati i documenti che hanno chiesto dopo la valutazione la pratica è stata approvata e ho ricevuto il bonifico di 6000 dollari (controlavore in euro) ben fatto! La compagnia giusta si vede nel momento del bisogno! unica pecca non hanno un numero telefonico con cui avere consulenza ma per il resto pienamente soddisfatto.. spero vi sia utile

"Highly recommended +++"

I have been with Columbus for many years and have always found their policies to be very well priced for the cover offered. I made a claim in the summer and the whole process was really easy and smooth and the customer service team were just great - clear and regular communication throughout - very happy with the whole experience, thanks Columbus :-D

"Awful service and use every excuse to not pay up"

Awful service. Unfortunately during the covid crisis they have not helped us at all. We have cancellation cover and epidemic cover and when we had to cancel our April 2020 holiday they used every excuse to not pay up. We have had to take it to the ombudsman as the service we have received and the poor reasons for not paying up is absolutely ridiculous. They have used delay tactic in responding to gain loopholes in policy wording to avoid payment. Avoid them as you will be disappointed. The sad thing is we used them for over 10 years and never made a claim and the one time we need them to pay up they are not. AVOID!!!

"good insurer poor customer service"

Columbus might be a good insurer.
But their customer service - very poor. One email - 3 issues from me - their response one partly answered with more questions. My advice try reading and understanding emails sent to administration and customer service before engaging with clients

"You only find out how good an insurance is when you claim"

I have used Columbus Direct for years as my annual policy and always thought that it was a good service and would have recommended it to friends without a thought. Until this year. The point of insurance is that they will service a claim without hassle and provide the service for which you are paying. However, I have never had cause to claim on the insurance until this year but that is when you really find out if the provider is any good or not. I have had an outstanding claim since I got stuck in NewZealand in March/April this year because of COVID lockdown and had additional costs of flights and hotel stays. Despite providing all the invoice copies and information, helping to provide the interpretation of their own policy clauses and doing everything I was asked to do, they have just made this process longwinded, stressful and continue to stall on paying the claim. They say I am not covered under the Curtailment clause, but the holiday was not curtailed it was extended. I was stuck, I was stressed and for a while we had no way of getting home. The fact is that the payout is limited to £500 under the clause that I want to claim under which is for additional expenses as a result of a pandemic although my additional expenses are far more than that. Having now lost the will to continue arguing the case I have not renewed the policy and Columbus have lost a customer for good. I am now telling my friends to steer clear, keep their money because I paid more in premiums to these people than they would have paid out anyway. Avoid at all costs.

"We are trying to renew"

We are trying to renew our policy but this does not seem an easy process. We have been customers for years. No telephone number and we are told to click on a link which does not work. Keep being told the link will be fixed tomorrow but tomorrow never comes.
In the response there is an indication that this issue has been resolved. No one has contacted me. My insurance has not been renewed.

"Selma is useless"

Do not use this company. Useless and helpless. Not interested. Any excuse so as not to do any investigation in your claim! Take your money then offer no service at all. You book insurance so you can enjoy your holiday without any stress or worries if anything happens. We'll I would get more help off my grandson!

"They seem to have lost the plot."

We've been with Columbus for years and were thinking of looking elsewhere as the price has crept up quite considerably and also we had received nothing from them regarding a possible refund on some of our premium, seeing that we couldn't travel this year. Other insurers had done the right thing but not a peep out of Columbus for the whole of this year. We suddenly realised that we had received no renewal reminder this month and, by the time we noticed, the renewal date had passed by a few days. Having checked our emails and spam, there is no sign of anything from Columbus so I thought I'd best ring to find out what was going on. That's when I found that they are not accepting any communication by phone. At that point I decided that I was not prepared to deal with a company that you cannot speak to so I have emailed them to inform them that I do not wish to renew and also to query why they have not been in touch regarding our renewal. We await their response. In any event I've found a much cheaper quote with one of the biggest and best insurers so I regret not doing something before. I'm just wondering whether Columbus have lost the plot a bit? I know things have been difficult but from the look of other reviews on this site, they seem to be falling dramatically short of the standard one would expect. To fail to invite us to renew our annual insurance is just one example. Is it a systems problem or maybe they do not select and train the right staff? Who knows but they need to do better if they are to survive in a tough market.
