Stumbled across this site after typing in Australian sellers, saw a record player cabinet for $300 so decided to see how much for delivery and was pleasantly surprised to see a $500 delivery fee from USA, ah no thanks, seriously don’t do business in Australia with ridiculous fees like that. Avoid this online seller.

bought an item from these scammers first they wanted a screen shot of the paypal payment page then added extra delivery charges that exceeded the original charges they say it was incorrectly weighed they seem to do that alot

"Delivery fee scam"

When I was looking for my product I stumbled across Ubuy. They were the last site with this product available.

Unfortunately I ignored the numerous 1star reviews listing it as a scam.

The site works by quoting your delivery fee and then messaging you two days later that there's another $100 due to miscalculation on their end.

I was ashamed I didn't take the reviews seriously.

For such a large company its suspicious how you still can't automate cost of delivery for these packages.

Also I'm $0.01 short of a full refund because of the error on your end.

My advice UBuy, make costs upfront and charge once. Don't hold peoples money/orders hostage due to your mistakes.

Discussing service, bought a product that clearly stated free delivery and within one hour of purchase they added a $304 delivery charge and said I had 48 hours to pay it.
Total grubs don’t spend your money with them

"Buyer Beware of Ubuy "

I ordered a product on Jan 11, from Ubuy Australia, I needed the product fast so I signed up for express 3-5 business day shipping membership , a few days later, I was told by one of their reps, it’s not actually 3-5 days for shipping, that only applies once the product reaches their warehouse, if the product takes 3-5 days to reach their warehouse, it could be 3-5 business days after that, making it actually 6-10 business days. This is not mentioned at the time of signing up for membership, so I cancelled my membership after speaking with one of 4 reps. ( also according to the written terms with membership you receive a cashback rebate which you are supposed to keep even if you cancel your membership, unfortunately , they take back the cashback anyway) 1 week later on Jan 18th, ( which is 1 day past their advertised delivery date) I received an sms saying my shipment is on its way, yet as of now 11 days later) no tracking number and no shipment. This is the 2nd time using Ubuy, the screwed up my last order and I the mistake of waiting several months and trying again. Bad mistake on my part. Now nearly 2 weeks later, I’m told their is a problem with the product and shipping and to top it off, i’m told I’ll have to wait up to 10 more days for a refund. Buyers beware.I don’t recommend Ubuy. Update 5/2/2025 on reading their reply, you can see they have continued to lie in regards to Cashback rebates. See for yourself, go to their home web page, scroll down to bottom and click UBuy membership, you will see they aren't a truthful company.

Bought an item using Afterpay was emailed two hours later saying item could not be shipped because of “ Your counties Customs rejected shipment “ was told refund would be available in approximately 7 business days, after refund was sent an invoice for 1 cent by Afterpay
Don’t know what mistake Ubuy had made in selling me the item in first place, don’t know why my refund was 1 cent short

"Clutch Delivery Before Christmas"

Saw some lower reviews and rolled the dice on a Christmas present that I couldn't find anywhere else. Shipping came from the USA within a week and a half and we got it in time for Christmas.

Shipped using DHL Express - reliable courier in Australia.

Tracking updates were good and easy to understand.

The only issue was an extra $40 tacked on from what it said the cost would be - extra tax/customs clearance/shipping costs. This should be included in advertised price. I was willing to pay it to get the present on time.

0 stars if I could. After weeks of no communication they messaged me to say that the product is lost in transit. How does that even happen?
