The app is not user friendly. You have to read about how to put money in card directly than more steps for placing in buckets.

"No Frills Allowance App for Families"

I love how simple it is to set up but the app interface could be a little better. I am not in love with the investing feature, I know it's not robinhood but it would be helpful to have more context to the company you are investing in. I am also not in love that you can't change your child's card's pin on the app.

Have used BusyKid for my daughter for a couple of years and have always been happy with it. Never had the need to reach out to customer service until this week and Lisa did a great job assisting me. Would recommend BusyKid to anyone looking to get their kids started with learning about money.

Great product for introducing my kids to value on money and how to manage it. Helps my kids be more goal oriented on their own. The app is relatively easy to navigate and manage the account. I also like the ability for relatives and friends to send funds directly to the kids for special occasions. The only snag we’ve hit is some acceptance issues on the debit card at a few merchants.

Great app for kids to learn financial responsibility and learning to.save. iI like that my.kids ate able to donate to.chatity causes as well as invest in stocks and learn about the stock.market. My kids are tweens and teen boys so they do not do.much.of.the chores.list; but it is great for.them to.learn how to follow the news and stock market ups and downs. Wish I had this when I was younger.

I've used this app with my daughter for about 7 yrs now. I added her brother 4 yrs ago. I love this app. Busy kid customer service always responds to even the most simple questions. Thanks Busy Kid!

My two daughters use BusyKid all the time and it has really helped them learn to manage money. By having some measure of control over their saving, spending and charity they value what it takes to earn money and appreciate how it can be used.

"An OK service, but largely a disappointment."

Their debit card has too many fees. Many online purchases get hit with high foreign transaction fees.

Previous stock provider, StockPile was a pain, and then added unreasonable fees. Based on that it is hard to trust BusyKid on the new investment provider.

I would like a simple way to pay a selected interest rate on savings balance. Busy kid could offer a low base rate, but parents could supplement.

They have a savings match feature but that only makes sense if you lock savings. I would prefer my kids have more freedom to learn about time value of money and investing.

The branding is not good for older kids. Sure you have a debit card, but it is embarrassing to use in front of peers.

It does work. The app is fairly good. It was pretty easy to set up. But given the upfront fees, it seems like they should provide a card without all the excessive transaction fees.
