"Brilliant company "

Got recommended by my uncle and what a brilliant recommendation it was!
I turned up and couldn’t not have felt more comfortable, as soon as I walked in Liam couldn't have been more helpful, we found the car I seen online and he talked me though everything and took me on a test drive. Liam made the whole experience very comfortable and was superb in making sure everything was understood before signing. Complementary drinks and a friendly face, I bought my car. Liam was great in keeping in touch and there was no pressure atall to buy anything unlike other places I had been to look at cars.
Would highly recommend this company and hope you’re lucky enough to get Liam.

"VERY POOR service checks and customer service !!"

Beware When Purchasing Here – Two Very Negative Experiences with Customer Service and Cars!

I recently purchased a car from the Preston dealership, and my experience has been deeply disappointing. Within just 10–20 minutes of driving the car home and leaving it parked for an hour, the battery completely drained. While the dealership did send a mechanic to replace the battery, the process took several hours and disrupted my day, causing me to miss important commitments, including taking my partner to university for crucial meetings.

When I visited the dealership to discuss the issue, I was met with a dismissive and unsympathetic attitude from the salesperson, Simon Fry, who had sold me the car. He pointed to documentation suggesting the battery had been checked and deemed ‘ok’ before the sale, deflecting responsibility and even insinuating the fault was mine. This was both frustrating and unhelpful, especially as I had used the car responsibly, ensuring the lights were on auto, the engine was off, and the key was removed after parking.

To make matters worse, other staff members appeared unprofessional during this interaction, pulling faces as though I were causing a scene, despite my calm and civil approach. As a gesture of compensation, Simon Fry offered me four rubber tire caps !!!, which I found insulting and inadequate.

This incident has left me anxious about the reliability of the vehicle and the dealership’s quality control, especially as this is not my first negative experience. In 2021, I purchased a car for my mum from the same branch and salesperson, and three weeks later, her car’s battery also failed. Simon Fry even joked about that incident during my recent visit, which, given the circumstances, felt inappropriate and unprofessional.

I had high expectations when purchasing from this dealership, believing in the promises of thorough quality checks and excellent customer service. Unfortunately, this experience has shattered my trust. I now feel uncertain about the car’s safety and concerned about the possibility of further issues arising due to insufficient inspections.

I would urge the dealership to improve its inspection processes and customer service standards to prevent similar experiences for future customers.

"We went to the Oldham branch to help…"

We went to the Oldham branch to help our daughter to buy her first car several weeks ago and we couldn’t be happier. The sales guy Di was really helpful and very professional. No hard sell, we were left in peace to have a good look round. We were really pleased with the price too. This wasn’t the first time we have bought a car from them and I am sure it won’t be the last. Thank you Di.

"Excellent service from HPL Preston"

Recently purchased a car from the HPL branch in Preston, with the help of James D. Honestly, James made the process so smooth and easy, I felt very confident I had made the right choice. The service was above and beyond what I was expecting, if I'm honest. I sent an enquiry through one evening and had a very quick response, even though the branch had just closed. James managed to get me in the next day for a viewing and discussion, which was great. My existing finance car was coming to an end in just a few days and James was great in ensuring the vehicle checks, application and finance was rushed through to make the transition quick and easy so I would not have to be without a car. I had a few issues with my existing car which would cost me a lot of money if I sent it back to the current finance holder. James organised it so HPL would settle my current finance so I would not have to pay a big settlement fee due to the issues. I feel he went above and beyond for me as he did not have to do this for me, especially given the condition of the existing car I had. His communication throughout was excellent, he kept in contact and ensured I knew where we were at in the process and he even worked it out so I got the car a day early. The whole process was streamlined, efficient and more importantly, stress-free! I know one of HPL's commitments is to ensure the customer is at the centre of everything, and HPL now has a customer for life from myself. I cannot thank them enough.

"Lewis sold us a car today"

Lewis sold us a car today, did everything i asked to bring car up to my standards for purchase. Very helpful and made buying the car easy and simple. He even lent us his pink charger.

"Cannot recommend HPL motors Oldham…"

Cannot recommend HPL motors Oldham enough. Jefferson was incredibly friendly and professional throughout. Really honest and open about the car/prices ect. I walked away same day with a Vauxhall Mokka, had to take the car back yesterday to get the Supergard which was agreed at the point of sale. Again Jefferson was incredibly professional and made the process so easy and simple. If you are going to purchase a car from HPL highly recommend asking for Jefferson.

"A big thank you to Shaun at HPL Oldham"

We just purchased a new car from Shaun at HPL Oldham. It was the easiest and most pleasant experience I’ve had buying a car. The only issue being a slight delay on the finance agreement, however this wasn’t down to HPL it was due to the new government ruling which came in at the time I was purchasing my car, but Shaun and Filip were very helpful in getting this sorted for me.

Shaun was excellent, he wasn’t pushy, he listened to what we wanted, and helped us find the perfect car, and we were able to have a laugh and a joke in the process. I’d definitely use HPL Motors Oldham again in the future.

"Non existent GAP insurance."

I bought a car from these people. The deal was concluded and I went to pick up the car.
Upon arriving o was told that Motonovo would not give me the finance unless I took out gap insurance.
After being convinced by them that the gap would cover me,I ended up buying the product.
Anyway, I had an accident and rang HPL to inform them I would need to activate the gap. I was told there is no gap policy relating to my car.
A few phone calls later I was asked for the receipt which I could not find.
However, the matter was left as it was and then some years later I found the original receipts and paperwork relating to the purchase of vehicle and gap insurance.
Obviously, I went backto HPL who would not answer my multiple emails. I then rang them and was told by the manager that I'm a liar and nothing happened the way I was telling then.
So, asked him who I was covered with at the time and was told RAC. I rang the RAC and was told my vehicle was not on the system. I rang Michael the manager back and he was just not ready to.be civil.
Used resolver to try to get through to the company but no response. Now it's to the ombudsman.
The fact if the matter is that these people sold me a policy but never registered it. Simeine somewhere pocketed £399.00 and basically committed fraud.
So now that I have realised how unscrupulous these people are I'm even more determined to get to the bottom of this mess. Let's see what happens.

and everything has been perfect both times any questions or queries have been answered with no issues
