"A company that doesn't care about their customers "
I am writing this review due to a simple misunderstanding that led to my account being 30 days late. After speaking with a very rude customer service agent, I assured them I would pay the past due amount plus fees, even though I feel they are partially to blame because their invoices consistently arrive in the mail after the billing due date. I have requested that they email my statement, but apparently, that's something they are unable to do. After bringing the account up-to-date, they spitefully reported a 30-day late payment to the credit bureau, which severely affected my credit score. On three separate occasions, I have politely tried to explain what happened and asked to speak to a supervisor. I was even promised a callback from one, but no one ever returned my call. I would recommend avoiding this company as they lack ethics, provide poor customer service, and they seem to purposefully send their invoices late.

After calling several times yesterday,and I was not at all happy with the service I got, today I called and ask to speak with the supervisor, I was able to speak with Dean S. he was outstanding, he answered all my questions and helped me in getting the web site up and running I could not have ask for any better, he was super.

On Jun 13th 2024 I tried to call several times to Service Finance due a warranty problem with the contractor, was calling until at 3pm when was answered by a person who identified herself as Raquel to receive my claimed, after 5 minutes talking suddenly the call was dropped, I call back and then after being transfer for by the system again the call was taken and dropped off again, this happened several times, I waited for being calling back which never occurred; thus now with frustration my problem still here and on...

"Damaged my credit rating"
I established a $13K loan with Service Finance on 12/2023. I tried to pay the loan off in April, but they added $62 of interest before I paid it off. I thought the account had been set up for autopay, and the balance would be deducted the following month. I paid the $62 dollars after I saw a 30-day late payment on my credit report. My credit rating dropped 75 points for a loan paid off years early.

"Id rather make a deal with the devil than SFC"
Miscommunication at every step. Worst customer service representatives. Terrible business practices. Would rather have a loan/deal with the devil than to work with SVC in the future.
Miscommunication - failed to let me know of my loan mark up being declined and forcing the contractor to add another loan/payment through a different finance company. Half of the blame is on my contractors as they failed to obtain the correct information in the first place.
Customer Service - everyone uses the same templates to respond to consumers, nothing personalized, or actually resolved. I have learned that the multifaceted complaint I made was simplified into one issue. Then when I received the templated response back, I called and complained again about my issues to realize the top manager did not know o the issue. This just ties back into the miscommunication and how it relates between their own departments.
Business Practices - Was initially told different terms than what was on my signed contract. I feel duped. Maybe I am ignorant, or stupid, but I left the original meeting with contractors with a set term in my head, and that was different than what I had apparently signed for and agreed to.
In addition, they also sent me a letter, dated 5/19, that was received on 5/31, a whole 11-12 days later, saying that my bill was due on 6/3, 3 days away.
After many, and I mean many, calls to their company to have this resolved, they said they could literally do nothing. The only thing they could do was assure me that I could have a late fee waived, but I was still on the same schedule. Which would force me to make 2 payments in 14 days, or always be behind. And for someone who has a 100% on time history on their credit report, this is not an ideal solution.
I have been forced to write an email to the president of this company, and to his credit, he did respond within moments, with a VP on his team.
If they can't do anything, I literally do not know what I will do, but suffer the consequences of their poor business tactics.
If something is done, I will gladly change the review. Until then, this is my current and honest opinion of the company. Id rather deal with the devil than SFC.
