"Beware of Unfair Contract Terms and Automatic Renewals"

I signed up with Bright HR under the assumption that their services would be flexible and straightforward, but I was wrong. The contract terms are extremely restrictive, locking you into a 3-year agreement with absolutely no way of cancelling. Even worse, at the end of the 3 years, the contract automatically extends for the same period without any prior notification! This kind of hidden clause is highly deceptive and frustrating for customers.

I’ve found customer service to be unhelpful when trying to discuss these issues, and it feels like they’re more interested in securing long-term commitments than offering value. If you’re considering using Bright HR, make sure you read the fine print carefully and be aware that you may be stuck with them for a lot longer than you expect. Definitely not a company I’d recommend.

UPDATE - After leaving my initial review, a customer service representative did get in touch. She was polite, seemed genuinely concerned, and assured me she would look into our contract. I appreciated the gesture and hoped it signalled a more constructive approach.
However, it’s now been a month with no follow-up, no update, and no resolution. This just reinforces my original experience: BrightHR are quick to take your money, lock you into an inflexible contract, and then disappear when you ask for help.
The lack of accountability and ongoing silence speaks volumes. I stand by my recommendation — avoid this company.

The software itself is quite good, and initial support was excellent, always responsive and helpful when I could reach them. However, I'm leaving a 3-star review due to significant issues with their counseling service for my employees. Despite signing a substantial contract, the service has been consistently below par. Several of my stressed staff members have struggled to reach anyone, often promised callbacks that either never materialize or come at inconvenient times, worsening their distress. Despite raising these concerns multiple times with Bright HR, I haven't been offered a satisfactory resolution or an exit from our higher-tier contract.

Farshad was really helpful, I had a query and he was able to dial on and show me how to rectify the problem. It was late in the working day and I really appreciated his support.
