"The ABSOLUTE worst move experience ever!"

TLDR; They'll charge you more later and won't take care of your things. Please book with another mover.

If something is too good to be true, most likely it is. That is what I think about when I think about this "company". I was told that all my belongings would be moved at a low price. I knew compared to other quotes I'd been given there had to be a catch, but I never would've foreseen all that we went through. When they showed up the day of the planned moved, I was told I had a lot of things and they would see if it could moved at the price I was quoted. Eventually I was told in order to move all of my belongings I would have to pay twice of what I was quoted. This was on a Tuesday and I had to be out of my place on that Friday. There was no way I could pay that so I told them to take my beds, TVs, and whatever else they could "fit" in my supposed space. They left me literally crying because I had no clue what I was going to do. Let's fast forward to the delivery. I asked for my things to be delivered 7/28/23. I didn't get them until 8/4/23 (a whole week later!). I sent them with FIVE tvs. One works, one is cracked, one is missing a plug, and two are just straight up missing. My son's computer monitor is cracked. My comforter and Z gel pillows are missing. Seriously, they are the worst. I can't emphasize this enough. Whoever is giving 5 stars either works for the company or is a friend to these people. They do not deserve even one star. If you are considering using them, please stop and look elsewhere.

"I was severely let down by this…"

I was severely let down by this company. Having to adhere to a strict move-in schedule in a high-rise building within a major city, with a limited time frame for the moving elevator, I explicitly requested a specific date and time. Despite confirming multiple times in the months leading up to the move, I was assured that there wouldn't be any problems. However, the day before the scheduled move, they abruptly canceled without offering a refund. I had no choice but to pay due to the legal terms outlined in the contract. Consequently, I had to hastily search for and pay an alternative moving company.just found out they are a brokerage, and your shipping send to other companies to the moon mover are also the was worse mover please don't sign anything in a rush. I'm going to file a complaint to good business bureaucracy

"This company SCREWED me"

This company SCREWED me! I needed a specific move in date and time given I live in a high rise in a major city and only have a moving elevator for a 3 hour block. For the months prior I confirmed and I was told repeatedly this would not be an issue. The day before the move they cancelled the date on me and would not refund me. I was forced to pay it due to the "fine print" in the contract. I then had to find and pay another moving company last minute.

"Don’t Do It"

I contracted with this company for a move of house hold items in June. The movers showed up June 29th, I was charged extra for anything that they deemed inappropriate. They took the goods to Georgia to a warehouse. I was told for 3 days maybe. I called constantly and was told it’ll be soon. I did not get my items until July 27th almost a month later. The items were packed in this truck boxes open and crushed. I was missing a box of items and a tv stand which i didn’t realize until I’d sign the paper work. Please be aware they will charge you for steps, long distance walking or if they have to go through more than one door to enter your house. Or if an 18 wheeler is not allowed they will rent another truck at your expense .This is in addition to the quoted fee. Please don’t use this company even if you are desperate try something else. Worst lying company EVER! Please don’t fall for the dispatcher lie’s especially a guy name Wille.

DO NOT use this company- I promise it’s a scam and you will not get your money back they disappear after you pay! Also note the 5 star reviews are brand new and typically posted within days of each other - that’s a sign of a company writing false positive reviews for themselves. Check out BBB and you will see hundreds of unresolved cases and the truth about the company. They will give a low ball bid and and initial promise date on the first call - talk to other companies and you will find out that is highly unlikely and just a way to get your deposit. They will call you later telling you your check “bounced” trying to get you to write another check or you’ll lose your move date. Call your bank and you will find out they cleared the check then all of a sudden the company ghosts you when you call them out. Very much a scam and I’m hoping to keep this from happening to others.

Are not even legal with documentation they scammed me out $2,000 and I was unable to talk to a Manager or someone higher up due to Natalie who works in customer service rudely declining to transfer me or give me any type of information to corporate before hanging up in my face and providing me with a fake billing department email Please DO NOT HIRE them !

"SCAM Company"

UPDATE: NEGATIVE STARS
Customer Service seems to get worst and worst. The one and only customer service rep, Naty/Natalie (I've called several times in the past 3 weeks and she is the only one who picks up) is extremely incompetent and is "unable" to escalate my feedback/concerns to her manager, Gaby (who apparently has no last name).

As mentioned below, after several follow ups to Naty/UCM I finally received an email to submit a claim to a third party system. The third party system asks to input the mover's legal name and reference the name on the bill of lading if needed. Never once in my calls with UCM, in emails, or in the bill of lading is the actual mover company name mentioned. Therefore, I list "United Choice Movers LLC." and the claim does NOT go through. I call Naty and ask why this was and only then does she says, "oh the name of the moving company is Peak Vanlines".

So after finally learning the name of the moving company, I'll need to submit a review for them too. But this negative star review remains the same for UCM as they are highly unprofessional and give out false information or no information.

I regret not looking them up on yelp before contracting them to see the very low rating which was reflective of my experience as well.

When we first engaged UCM they were so responsive and informative (Robert was our sales rep). They offered the average moving rate cost, but the main reason we chose then was because they specifically committed to a certain move date even after I very clearly asked "do you have a range of when the delivery truck will arrive? other companies have given me a range". They responded to this question explaining that their drivers could meet the exact date we requested and could potentially arrive earlier even.

Fast forward to a 2 days before the truck arrives to pick up our items -- the vendor mover clarifies that there was always a 21 day range! UCM/Robert completely lied and/or is just not in tuned with the vendors they hire.

Additionally, upon delivery of our items to our new location. The movers made no mentioning of any broken items. As they unload it was clear that a very expensive glass art work was shattered (though the broken glass was removed... so it took us a bit of time to find out what broke) and the person who had shattered it had wiped their blood off on to a lot of our belongings (dog bed, desk, boxes, and other furniture). They had moved our items from one truck to at least one other truck prior to it getting to us.

Through out this misfortunate adventure we have been calling UCM and the vendor and no one is helpful. Customer Service, Naty, was apologetic at first, but never followed up. I had to continue to call to check in on the claim that was not progressing. I received zero instruction or overview about the claim process.

They are extremely unprofessional and unhelpful.

"They are a broker"

They are a broker. I hired them when the company they sent got there they did not bring a semi like I was told. Charged us $10000 more then the quote. Did not get everything. Tried contacting customer service told me they would call me back 2 no call back. I tried my point of contact he said to call customer service. He was busy. And then said two trucks should be enough. I gave them pictures of the storage units and dimensions. They never came to give me a accurate quote. Now I have to figure out how to get the other half of this across country.

"Major scam! Do not use!"

I will post this anywhere I can to hopefully save the next person. They scammed us blind! Check the US DOT page for moving scams and it's the script for this company. They did not send anyone to do an estimate and offered a standard quote to lock us in with a "deposit" that is essentially non-refundable. 3 days before the move, another guy calls and goes through what what we own and then doubles the quote Demanding more thousands more in "deposit". Let's talk about this "deposit" because that is part of the scam. This is their broker fee and does NOT go towards your move!!! They will lie over and over again saying it's part of the move but it's not. Now, we have to deal with Avi Frankel who is an even bigger scam artist. He packs up everything into a truck and Uhaul (2/3rd of truck has other peoples stuff) and then gives a "quote" which was WAY more than United told us. He is demanding, threatening, and intimidating now he has our stuff. UCM is not lifting a finger to help us with this as they got their scam deposit and don't care anymore. After we sign, Frankel changes the number again via pen on our carbon copy when we were not looking. Someone where during all of this, his guys take a basket of garbage (food we pulled from fridge and put with garbage cans) and put it IN THE TRUCK!!! Truck gets opened in new home and smells like death. Movers nearly walked off the job and all of the stuff now stinks. Do yourself a favor and find another company. We lost thousands over this.
