My experience with my law matters was very positive. First time buyer buying a house. Anita was hands on with everything and very quick to reply. There was no delay with Anita and she was brilliant at her job. She helped me understand every stage. Thank you highly recommend Anita friendly, helpful, professional and easy to talk to also put my mind at ease through any stressful situation.

"Beyond stressful"

The most awful experience, rude, arrogant, condescending and unprofessional. Their only focus is billing, zero customer service and that is from the top down, culturally ingrained so not surprised complaints are not dealt with.
20 weeks for a purchase to go through is ridiculous, even other professionals coming into contact with this company have made comments about their rudeness and lack of professionalism.
The stress of dealing with them has caused me to have Alopecia for which I am now having to have very expensive treatment.
My advice would be, before engaging them try actually calling them to see if they answer, because in 5 months I never once got to speak to anyone when calling them.
If I had my time again, I would use a different company, one that actually shows some interest in its clients.

"Appalling company avoid"

I would have given zero stars if I could. This firm is appalling to deal with, communication is sparse and dealing with their trainee staff is the worst. They don't tell you anything that's going on. I have sent a lengthy complaint a week ago using their complaints process and not even had an acknowledgement. I have emailed today asking them to acknowledge receipt of my Complaint....nothing. I will be going to the legal ombudsman and also the SRA as this is not an acceptable way to deal with people and they should be following the rules they are governed by, they are not.

In addition to my review posted 31st July 2024 where they replied saying they’d look into it urgently we’ve had no response. We submitted a formal complaint over 6 weeks ago with a read receipt so we know they’ve seen it and it includes screenshots of the RIDICULOUS emails from our experience, we have chased a response several times, nothing has been in line with their own complaints procedure so we will be taking this to the legal ombudsman now. They have no regard for customers and are clearly only concerned about taking people’s money and claiming it is for a service but I did a lot of the work myself!!!! Absolute disgrace of a company. If anyone at My Law Matters wants to respond to me before I go to the ombudsman on Monday please get in touch before 3pm on the 23rd sept 2024

First time buyer on a flat, 6 months to complete! Shocking service, communication is non existent, i have had to do alot of the work myself like speaking to the land reg, the mortgage lenders, property maintenace team just to find out information as the “trainee” solicitor is incompetent and doesnt even know what he is doing! Its been so stressful, would never use them again

If there is 0 star, I will select that no doubt.
I raised my purchase property case in May, and I have asked for any update every 2 weeks. There is no responds. Until the seller set the completion date, the solicitor told me to provide the source of funds from other country at 2 weeks before the completion date. It is caused the case suspended.
