My experience with Destination Beauty has been amazing, the main reason for my great experience is that everything is done for us, we don't have to arrange accommodation, transfers, Dr's appointments or hospital appointments. This made the recovery from my procedures so much easier.
The staff are amazing around, from the Destination Beauty staff to the Dr's, to the hospital staff and they are a pleasure to deal with always.
The one area that could be improved on would be the after care information and giving patients an idea on what to expect during the process leading up to the surgery, what to expect day of surgery and what to expect after the surgery, this information would be very helpful for people coming over for the first time.
I was fortunate that I have been a number of times now, so I knew what to expect and was able to help guide some people who were here at the same time as me through the process.

The entire process was easy and straightforward. I was supported every single step I took and it was great not having to worry about transport to and from airport/appointments/hospital.
The nursing staff and Dr Ring were all kind professional and reassuring. Hotel was very comfortable and they couldn’t do enough for us. I was very happy with my Destination Beauty experience and would highly recommended it to anyone considering surgery.

My surgeon was Dr Angkana and she was amazing!
I told her exactly what I wanted and she delivered, she was kind caring and always checking in to make sure I was okay.
The staff at the hospital were wonderful. They would come wash and do my hair for me, always there if I needed and definitely put a smile on your face. I know I wouldn’t have got the same care here in Melbourne and I’m so happy with my results and care. Would definitely recommend!

Destination Beauty 3rd Trip Wrap-Up

On December 25th, I traveled to Bangkok for an arm lift revision with Dr. Weerachai, marking my third trip to Thailand with Destination Beauty. This surgery was necessary due to my own dissatisfaction with my previous arm and side lift performed in 2022.

To give some context, my first trip in 2019 included with Dr Weerachai:
• Extended Tummy Tuck
• Breast Lift

Then in 2022, I had a more extensive set of surgeries with Dr. Weerachai:
• Arm lift with side lift
• Back lift
• Fleur-de-lis
• Muscle repair

While I was initially happy with the results fluctuations in my weight and body recovery post-2022 surgeries affected the outcome, especially with my arm lift. The scars spread and began bleeding due to friction.

I had a candid conversation with Destination Beauty who gave me some much-needed tough love. Together, we formulated a plan to get my body and health back on track.

A significant turning point was that I discovering my love for running (or “shogging” – shuffle jogging) with my friends. I had done a few 10km run events during 2023.

My 10-year anniversary of weight loss surgery (sleeve gastrectomy) is coming up in February 2025. Reflecting on my journey from 2015 to 2025, I can see the progress not only in the physical transformation but also in the lifestyle changes I’ve made. It’s been a challenging, yet incredibly rewarding journey.

The photos below show a snapshot of my highest weight 160kg in 2015. I had lost over 80kg in the past 8 years then put some back on tipping the scales over 100kg after my last surgery in 2022.

Since January 2024 to December 2024 I worked incredible hard at the gym routine and with my nutrition reset.

In one 6week challenge at the gym I achieved incredible results:

● 6kg loss of weight
● 25cm overall
● 8cm off my waist

These results continued and to date I have achieved a massive 86kg loss of weight since 2015. I sit comfortably in the 70kg weight range.

The changes from January 2024 to January 2025 in the below photos are just incredible. I am proud of me 🥹 👏

For me it is not about the weightloss but the comfortability factor in my own skin and the active lifestyle I can now live and absolutely love.

Destination Beauty’s support over the years has been nothing short of exceptional. The care and communication have grown exponentially, especially with the added depth of pre-surgery guidance and post-op resources provided. This trip included a fantastic post-operative booklet, a new and improved nurse visit program, and Kate, my rep, went above and beyond to ensure I was well-prepared. Thank you Kate.

I’m so grateful to Destination Beauty for all their guidance and “tough love” – it made all the difference in managing my expectations for the revision surgery and ensuring the best possible outcome.

Now, as I recover, my arms are healing really well, the results already look incredible. I’ve been dedicated to my fitness, including consistent training with Genesis Coaching Zone and running events like my first half marathon in 2024. I’ve already signed up for another in 2025 and continue to stay active with weekly parkruns and volunteering.

The most important thing I want to share is that your results depend on you. The surgeons and medical team can only do so much; the rest is up to your commitment and effort. Sometimes tough love is hard to hear, but in my case, it was exactly what I needed. Thank you Destination Beauty.

I can’t wait to return to Destination Beauty for my next surgery – a lower body lift. Until then, I will continue to work hard with my fitness and recovery.

"Destination Beauty Experience "

Nana was amazing at organising my trip.
Hospital stay was great - nurses were lovely.
Doctor Ring did a great job.
Somerset hotel was lovely - friendly and helpful staff.
Having nurses on-site at the hotel was very helpful.
DB Facebook messenger is very helpful, even with aftercare once back home.
More aftercare instructions needed - especially for nipple graft patients.
There is a pharmacy down the road from Somerset that is associated with DB and sells products to help with scar healing - DB should include this information in their booklet.
An online follow-up appointment with the surgeon 4 or 5 weeks later would be nice to make sure all is well.

From the minute I met the driver at the airport I knew I had made the right decision, everything flowed so well from that point and I felt safe and cared for. The hotel is lovely and the staff were amazing and no request was a problem. Everything was well planned out and I would get a note under the door telling me when to be in the lobby for pick up and when to start fasting etc. Once at the hospital the room is lovely and comfortable. I met with the surgeon who was confident and helped me decided what would be best for my desired look. Once I came out of sugary and back to my room the care was amazing! I felt well rested and ready to go back to the hotel after 3 days. For the next 10 days I relaxed and met some lovely woman at breakfast and the organised morning teas. The whole experience was so empowering and I am so happy with my results!! I would have paid $30,000 to have this done in New Zealand as day surgery with limited recovery as a busy Mum but going through Destination Beauty the total came to $13,0000 including flights and it felt like a holiday. If you are thinking of going just do it you won't regret it!!!

I am extremely satisfied with my experience. The entire process and organization were seamless and went smoothly from start to finish. The explanation of the surgery was clear, simple, and easy to understand, which helped me feel comfortable and well-informed.
