"Great Product, HORRIBLE company "

I own a small trucking company in CT and had only heard good things about Samsara. We decided to purchase our ELD's from them with our eventual goal being to also purchase dash cams to go along with the ELD's. This company has been a NIGHTMARE. We signed the contract and paid the enormous fees same day early-November 2024. The money was immediately withdrawn. WE had to contact them in the middle of DECEMBER to inquire as to where our ELD's were. They had not been shipped out. Our customer service rep has been, and continues to be, too busy to help us which requires us to enter support tickets for anything we need. Once they shipped out the units at the END of December, (with the wrong cables I might add) we were charged an ADDITIONAL 95 dollars for "payment processing fees". Our payment was processed in NOVEMBER when the units were ordered and apparently forgotten about. Last week the units arrived and we noticed they had sent the wrong cables for our tractors. We called and an exchange was initiated. We had to put in a new ticket as there was no email saying these cables had shipped as we were promised. Now the response to the ticket is they have no record of our call and we have to do a cable exchange through the portal. This company is horrible. I DO believe they have a good product, if you can ever get it delivered and are able to use it. Thus far, they have charged us for services we have not received and are overcharging us for nonsense they are just making up. As stated, I do recommend they product, if you can deal with all of the nonsense and expense to get it.

"False speed limit database"

They do not update their speed limit database which causes bad safety scores. Then when trying to explain to our safety people they said they have to go with what samsara says. Well I've contacted samsara about this problem and still no results. Got flagged for speeding 23 minutes on 1/2/25. I know for fact I wasn't speeding cause I went 3 mph slower then the speed limit signs said.

"They have the worst customer service"

They have the worst customer service. They sold us some services and charged us double of what we had ordered. They take weeks to try and resolve an issue and no one knows anything they just keep cc in email to different departments.

"Samsara Has Failed Our Business – Untrustworthy and Unfair"

As a company that relies on dependable services to support our operations, Samsara has completely let us down. They abruptly removed essential features we had been using for years, giving us only two weeks' notice. Their explanation? These features were provided “in error.” For a business like ours, this level of unreliability is unacceptable and disruptive.

When we attempted to cancel due to the loss of these critical features, we were told that we didn’t provide the required 30 days’ notice. How could we have done that when Samsara didn’t inform us in advance of the changes? Their policies are clearly designed to trap customers while allowing Samsara to make sudden, one-sided decisions with no accountability.

We reached out to their customer service, but the responses offered no real solutions. Instead, they repeated rigid policies that ignored the fact that Samsara’s actions had fundamentally changed the value of the service we signed up for.

Our business needs partners we can rely on, and Samsara has proven they are not one of them. If you’re a company considering Samsara, be warned: they prioritize profits over customer satisfaction, make arbitrary changes, and hold you to policies that don’t work both ways. We cannot recommend them to any business seeking fairness and reliability.

"Drivers lose access to logs after leaving company"

There rating system makes no sense, I can jump from 7/20 to 15/20 to 20/20 and back to 9/20 in 3 days. But my biggest complaint is the fact that I was suddenly fired from my job and they locked me out Samsara. So i can't get my log pages, which I am supposed to keep for 7 years. When I asked for them Samsara said ask my company, but they aren't talking to me now that I have filed a lawsuit. How can Samsara refuse to hand over my logs. Drivers need to know that Samsara has nothing in place to ensure that a driver can still access their own information. It is simply a crazy set up.

"Deceptive Practices and Terrible Customer Service – Avoid Samsara!"

After 5 years as a loyal Samsara customer, I am disgusted by their recent bait-and-switch tactics. With only two weeks’ notice, I was informed that several critical features—ones I have relied on for years—will be turned off because, according to Samsara, I "never paid for them." They claim I’ve been receiving these features "for free" this whole time. This excuse feels nothing short of manipulative and insulting.

What’s worse is their complete refusal to help or offer solutions. Their customer service is unresponsive and dismissive, showing zero interest in retaining long-standing clients. Instead, they seem laser-focused on squeezing more money from me. Before this fiasco, their account executive called me daily to push upsells, but now that I need support, they are nowhere to be found. Samsara’s priorities are clear: sales over service.

The features they are stripping away include WiFi hotspot, geofencing, telematics reports, and driver messaging—tools essential to my operations. Shutting these down with barely any notice, during a busy season, is not just unprofessional—it’s unethical. Their actions reflect a blatant disregard for their customers’ businesses and livelihoods.

If you value transparency, accountability, and support, do not choose Samsara. This company has proven they care only about profits, not about their customers or delivering on their promises. I am beyond disappointed and will be looking for alternatives immediately.

"The software itself is alright"

The software itself is alright. The devices were sold to me as "suited for my needs" but clearly were not... When I want to swap out devices, the are instant with the ordering of new devices. When returning the other ones out, takes months and months. Different support reps get involved, and absolutely no movement happens whatsoever... I get told that it will be resolved, but every single month I get billed for devices that should have been removed from my account months ago. For the price of the software, I am extremely dissatisfied.....

"SCamsara .."

SCamsara ... these people renew contracts without providing pricing, DO NOT answer questions and skirt all questions, bounce different employees to our account so we get tired of asking for answers, upped our fees 27% without notice or reasoning. etc etc etc. The list goes on. Just a bunch of criminals and hacks.

I am pleased with every aspect of Samsara. From the sales support team's knowledge and honesty, the superior equipment quality and the drive to help make our business better and more efficient.

The one thing I would like to see is that Samsara offer a tablet with the ELD services.
