"I missed my connecting flight from…"

I missed my connecting flight from Mumbai. As this was my first time traveling in business class I did not know that at least in Mumbai they have a totally separate setup to go through security and customs. In addition to the plane leaving 10 minutes late and waiting to de-plane taking an extra long wait 15 times 20 minutes, going through all the lines and security with a lot of people resulted in me missing my flight. It was a full 24 hours till I could be booked on another flight.

When I called the emergency line there was an agent available and she helped me secure a business class flight for the next evening. She was super helpful and attentive.

I, however, was forced to leave the airport by Mumbai and had no idea how to get a hotel or where to get a cab, and most people only spoke their native language. So it was pretty frightening walking around in the middle of the night with suitcases, not knowing what to do. I texted the agent, but she did not reply to the text as she had in other texts. I eventually found a person who could help me, and I am forever grateful to them.

When I returned the next evening from the hotel I secured, the cab driver mentioned that if I was business class I should go to terminal 1 and there will be no lines. It was great. I went though the whole process quickly.

So I have 3 suggestions:

#1. Always let people know at any particular airport about business class and the services that are offered. Don't assume that everyone flies business class.

#2. Make sure in addition to the rebooking of the flight that you at minimum make sure that your customer knows where to go to get information to book a hotel if they are in a similar situation.

#3. Really evaluate on your side that if the incoming plane is late or there is any problem that causes a delay in the process coild your customer miss their flight. They were having extra security checks at the airport as their security team was on high alert causing more delays. So to be. honest with I am not 100% sure I could have made the flight even had I known about business class process.

Everyone was from your service was courteous and helpful in this situation; Martin even got me vegetarian meals in less than the 24 hours required. So I appreciate your service very much.

I was very suspicious of this until l boarded and snuggled into my lovely business class seat. I got air miles (transferred to my American account even though l flew Cathay) and it was an awesome experience!

I was promised a lounge on my 5 hour layover in Lo don and did not qualify for it. I will never use you again.
