"The doors were good value but I wasn’t entirely satisfied."

The doors were good value. We waited longer than expected. The biggest letdown was that the initial measurement was not correct, meaning we had to settle for an unsightly spacer/ top vent or wait for another door. As we had waited so long for the 1st one and in our eagerness to move back into our house, we decided to compromise and just accept the vent. Unfortunately , there was no follow up from bifoldingdoorfactory regarding this matter. No money back or apologies. That was very Disappointing. On the plus side, when the door became a little misaligned at the top over time, they did come out and sort it.

"Used for an extension"

We used the bi-folding doors factory for Windows and a door. They were excellent. Communication was spot on. There was a problem with one door (handle on the wrong side) but they sorted it immediately.

Was genuinely pleased with the service, product and installation. I'm a designer and work alongside trade subcontractors regularly and can safely say these guys were very professional, communicative and reasonably priced. The bifold doors have been installed for about 8 months now and we haven't had any issues with them to date. I would recommend and use again if needed in a future home. Price also seemed competitive from the other quotes tendered

"The sliding door has been fitted…"

The sliding door has been fitted leaving a gap under the step and every time I stepped on it it creaked. But the after service corrected it without any problem. Also you can get a quote online in a couple of minutes. The door is slightly unlevel but otherwise a great looking and functional sliding door, highly recommended.

Excellent stylish triple glazed aluminium bifold doors from an one of the best German brands. I'm a design engineer and have been impressed with my two sets of custom doors which transformed the way we live with our new family. The room stays warm and quiet and the slim profile looks much better than UPVC. When fully open it dramatically changes the space. We used chippings flush with the sill to great effect. We have black outside which looks very classy on my old cottage and the white interior colour maximises light and space. A superior product that does exactly what I expected. After 2 years of ownership I would still highly recommend the product as high end and competitively priced with great service (which I have used). Don't buy budget to save money because you'll wish you'd bought these after living with them for a while.

"Poor after-sales service"

Our experience with BDF was as follows:

The sales team were very helpful and explained all the options to us clearly.

The surveyor was again very accommodating and easy to deal with.

The installation team did a very quick but it was at the point our problems began. The doors seemed to be installed OK and the quality looked fine however when our builders returned the following day and before they started work noticed some small scratches high up on the door frame.

We contacted BDF and asked politely if there was anything that could be done.

We received a extremely rude response implying:
1. It was impossible that we could have missed the scratches so they definitely weren't there on installation.
2. Our builders must have caused them (even though they hadn't even started work at that point)
3. My assertion that I had seen a fitter using Stanley knives to open the packaging was false.

We were taken back by the response and escalated it. We had a response from another manager there and said he would explore some options but after a couple of conversations and email follow ups communication went silent.

We will live with the scratches as they are not severe, and more easily seen in a certain light, however we cannot recommend this company and feel like it's our duty to write this review.

Mistakes happen but there is no excuse for the poor service we received.
