"Nothing but good things to say about…"

Nothing but good things to say about the service we received. It transpired that our washing machine was not worth repairing and so we were offered a replacement without any quibbles whatsoever. We were given a like for like replacement and kept informed all along the way until the replacement was delivered and installed. Excellent service! Thank you!

"AVOID Like the plague …"

Absolutely disgusting conning corrupt thieves my wife took 3 year cover out on. Washing machine phoned for a repair refused to come out he tried to repair on phone I cancelled policy but they kept taking payments tryed to cancel direct debit but there was no direct debit set up
Turned out they saved card details after long discussion with the bank they have started to investigate and taken fraud charges against them bank refund money to my account

"Absolute con artists which I am…"

Absolute con artists which I am embarrassed to say coned me having paid for cover this bogus company proceeded to take 3 unauthorised payments from my card for £240 each. Absolute stressful nightmare dealing with this company. Seeing the number of people who have also been victims something urgently needs to be done to stop this unscrupulous company trading

AVOID !!! READ THIS AND READ MORE REVIEWS BELOW
Unrequested sales call will tell you wonderful things.
We are still waiting for them to resolve a problem from October 2022, yes 2022 !
Fed up of phone calls they don’t answer, then on the odd occasion they do, take the details and “ someone will call you tomorrow “
Nobody does.
So I have written to them, and still got no response.
See other reviews below - there seem to be 2 conflicting themes.
One group says it is a scam business, with very dubious sales practices, and I can see where that comes from, having experienced it myself.
The second group praises various staff members by name, and always seem to get a reply.
The first group seem to get no reaction ?????
Interesting.
If I don’t get satisfaction by the end of this week, I will escalate the problem even higher, probably go to the Small Claims Court to recover our losses.
Time consuming but I am so angry.
Will let you know how I get on.

"Bad service "

They phoned me after being a customer for several years and asked me to take out a 3 year contract for my fridge 3 yearly payments of £80.00, they took out the first payment from my account but not the second payment. I phoned them 3 days ago because I had a problem with my fridge and was told it had expired because I didn’t make the second payment , I told them that it was on a 3 year contract and they should have taken it and it wasn’t my fault. They gave me the managers email address and I sent him my contract and explained everything to him but he’s not interested either, I’ve sent several emails to him but only had one response saying because it’s broken down they can’t give me a new cover, but as far as I’m concerned they are at fault because they are responsible for not taking the payment, the whole idea of direct debit is that I don’t have to worry about paying yearly. So after sending my contract with them to the company director aleast 4 times he hasn’t even looked at it . He still says it ran out over a year ago but the start date is 5th October 2022 till 4th October 2025 plan no SCG24118444. He’s also sent me a email stating my plan is not with them. Also accusing me of trying to get a new fridge from them , but I don’t know where he got that from as it’s only the thermostat that’s gone . Just a shame I can’t upload my contract on here to prove the dates.

Notice that this bunch only respond to 5 star reviews, not any where people are wanting assistance.
If nothing else at all just take notice of that fact.

We have just found out that this company has taken out of our account £1,400 since February 2023 for an automatically renewed policy for our OLD white goods.
And that is as far back as the bank can see, as they say there could be more!
Bank has told us to go to them, but they have still to get back to me.
Instead they are constantly calling my wife who is recovering in hospital following major surgery, despite being told to call me.
Wish I could give minus stars for this bunch.
Also told me that they couldn't let me speak to cancellations but they should get back to me in 48 hours, during which time they took another £240 out of our account.
I have been told by Trading Standars that when you ask to have something cancelled, they have to let you speak to that department immediately.
So we are after all our money back plus compensation for major distress for my wife as well as interest lost.
I will post an update whenever this bunch decide to call me as 48 hours is fast approaching.

UPDATE - 01/05/24
They didn't call me back within the specified timescale, so I called them again.
I was told that! Yes you guessed it the cancellations team will call me "Immediately."
I'm still waiting and not expecting a call back.
They won't even pass me onto any supervisor or manager.
Escalating this atthe bank and with Trading Standards now.
Please do not go near as this lot are either going under or are total scam.

FURTHER UPDATE:-
Despite a call they are only giving back 4 payments and not the others, so pursuing this further.
The lady didn't think that £240 / month was excessive to insure a 4 year old washing machine!
Well I could almost buy a new one every two months at that rate.
Also she would not provide me with the details of the policy taken out in April 2023, as our paperwork is incomplete.
Definitely not a company to get involved with or complain to as they do their best not to help you.

I took out insurance on one item a Tumble Dryer for 3 yrs. Then someone phoned me to see if I needed anything else covered I said no and £240.00 went out of my bank, this happened again a phone call to me and another £240.00 goes out my bank. I had cancelled insurance on 3 appliance and

"Fraud"

I wouldnt give one star but had to to continue.
Took out 3 year washing machine cover £198 in June of 2023.Found out in March of 2024 that Surecover had kept my debit card details and Taken a further 5 payments of £240 without my permission for alleged additional cover which I never authorised. Have been in contact with sure cover and they have agreed to refund the last two payments but not the resr. Asked for full details of alleged additional cover. Have not received details or any refunds

"Absolute scam artists!!"

Absolute scam artists!!
I was looking on my bank account by chance and saw that they had taken £240.00 out of my account without my permission which has taken me over my overdraft costing me a fortune in penalties,apparently for the cover of a fridge freezer that I dont own! What I want to know is how did they get MY bank details as previously I used my husband’s account to pay for my washing machine cover.

"Never buy a policy on the phone. Watch out for crooks."

Well what a novel way to entrap people in selling and buying insurance for household appliances! Crooks really.
I was sold a cover for £5.99 per month that covered all my household appliances. They took my account details too, silly me.
When I got the contract it mentioned £5.99 BUT NOT PER ITEM. I was incensed. Wasted my time for 40 minutes on the phone on 3 occasions including once from a manager. Wouldn’t send me anything in writing until I agreed on the phone and only then I received the email. After reading I cancelled the contract immediately.
