"Beware - lies told to make you buy cover you don't need"

After getting money refunded from a previous scam by Sure Cover (they state appliance cover is expiring, when none was in place in the first place - direct lies) they contacted the person I care for AGAIN yesterday, using the same lies. Their techniques are disgusting.

Don't bother trying to phone them on the number they provide. If they contact you report it via Action Fraud.

Beware Sure Cover - their appliance cover is a fraudulent scam.

"Unimpressed: still without a washing machine for nearly a month"

My parents washing machine broke on 18/12/23 and after calling Surecover on the same day, giving them the make and model of the machine, they arranged for an engineer to look at it on 22/12/23. The engineer never turned up. I had to call Surecover several times on 22/12/23 in order to move this along who then told us that the engineer had rescheduled the appointment for 04/01/24 because of Christmas. Neither Surecover nor the engineer told us this.

An engineer came out on 04/01/24 and said that he would order parts to fix the machine. On 08/01/24 we received another call from Surecover saying that they can't repair it and said to check our email where they had just sent a link to a washing machine. When I explained that I would like some time to look at the specs etc and call back, they were adamant they wanted to resolve it on the call and would wait until we took measurements to ensure it fit. I said the measurements were fine, I then explained that this washing machine was integrated to the kitchen units so an alternative Hotpoint machine was suggested and I was assured that Hotpoint's engineers would dispose of the old machine, install the new one and fix integrate the machine (for an additional £9.99 for twelve months).

The Hotpoint engineers just left and said that the machine doesn't meet the spec to what's required to integrate it to the units. They explained if they fit the machine they wouldn't be able to fix it to the door and 'it wouldn't have a door' and that the insurer should provide a suitable machine that integrates.

I have just called Surecover and was on the phone for 40 minutes (most of that was on hold) with no resolution. We've been without a washing machine for nearly a month which is not acceptable even allowing for the festive period. I'm not impressed with Surecover's service at all.

My issues with the company have been resolved. Communication cock up,I'm still annoyed at the way things were handled, but in the end I'm happy now.

"Care in providing replacement for irreparable appliances"

Our broken fridge freezer was replaced with care, paying full attention to our needs and preferences. The Sure Cover agent, Jason, took his time to understand our requirements, including aesthetic ones, and searched diligently for the best match.
