Bought a furniture set from when they came to Preston at the tickle trout. It was £900, so not a cheap set.
Only got it out of box after a week because it was raining.
One piece of the corner settee was really sticky (like whatever they coat it in hasn’t dried)
Contacted customer services. Very poor service -have just said to wipe it ( which I’ve tried) then said there is nothing they can do as didn’t report until after 48 hours which is not in adherence to their policy. What about the consumer rights act Alfresco rattan??
Don’t buy from here - no come back if something is wrong, oh and some of the cushions are plucked!

please don’t buy from these people. I’ve just waited in a second time for my items and they are not coming. Delivery slot 2-5 today and nothing. Phoned delivery company and was told delivery cancelled and rattan had been notified in advance that they would not deliver. Once again rattan didn’t bother to let me know. After first failed delivery rattan gave me a long explanation of missing truck of goods (I didn’t believe a word as delivery company had my items but wouldn’t deliver them) I’ll let you guess why they wouldn’t deliver. I will now go to the credit card company. Buy anywhere else but not from them.

"Absolutely useless at all kinds of communication! Ordered in June, received in September!!"
We ordered a lovely looking set from one of the selling weekends that this company run at hotels. The sales guy was very nice and seemed genuine, when we bought this it was June and we was told the delivery would be 2-4 weeks. 4 weeks ended and we had heard absolutely nothing, I tried to ring the number on their website and google, it goes straight to voicemail saying this person mailbox is full. The only way to contact these guys is via email and this is a ridiculously slow way to get anything resolved. I had around 20 emails back and forth to this company and whenever I replied on the same day, I would then have to wait for the company to reply which took at least 2 days to happen. When they finally replied they said that the item I had ordered isn’t actually in stock so if I wanted it I would have to wait even longer than expected (bearing in mind this was after I contacted them!). After lots of emails back and forth they finally offered us a different set which was an “upgrade”. Fine, then they had issues with the delivery company they use and said they were chasing it and that they would definitely be in contact. Nobody rang on multiple occasions so after faffing around with Alfresco Rattans silly emails again I asked for the couriers contact details, they only gave me their company name... but I managed to find them online and resolve the issues myself. Along cane delivery day which I took a day off work for, nothing arrived I rang the company later in the day and they said their van broke down and that they wouldn’t be able to deliver today, they said they emailed, rang and left a voicemail, but I had none of the above... re delivery was a week later which I had to take another day off work. The delivery guys were brilliant and both very nice. The boxes that the furniture was delivered in were absolutely battered, you could fit your head through some of the holes that were on them (I’d upload the pictures but trust pilot doesn’t see to have the function).
Overall - Don’t order this company, we only carried on because we had already waited so long. I would never pay these people anymore money purely on the fact of how useless they are and how full of lies they are. Ordering a summer garden set in June and receiving in September is terrible as it’s going going to be hidden away due to the weather. There is so much more I could write but I don’t want to give this company any more of my time.

Visited the sale in Oxford last Sunday and made an impulse purchase. Paid in full and delivery was estimated at 7-10 working days. Didnt see the reviews until the next day. Although I was unable to speak to anyone on the telephone to check up my order at first, I did receive immediate responses to my emails. I need not have worried - Dannie rang me on Monday and asked if I could take delivery that day (this only being 6 working days). I was told the driver would ring me when he was close by to confirm a time. He rang me at 2.00 pm and said he was an hour away. At 3.05 it had been delivered!!! We promptly checked it over and all was present and correct. In my opinion this is excellent service and credit where credit is due. People only seem to leave reviews when they are complaining, which is a great shame!!! Well done Alfresco Rattan you did a great job and I am really looking forward to next summer and happy times in the garden on my lovely new sofa!!

Similar experience to many others. They took our money and have not delivered the goods. Unable to phone and website appears to have vanished.

Don't trust this company. Paid for furniture in June. Delivery was due on Thursday & got cancelled. Can't get hold of the company by phone or email & website is down. Think they might have closed down

I Ordered my furniture from Kegworth show. It actually arrived 2 weeks ago but the leg was damaged so returned. We had several emails and eventually they agreed to reduce the price as i could make repairs. I had a message it would be delivered to me yesterday and not turned up. Delivery company have said I need to speak to Alfresco Rattan but they are not answering their phone or returning calls. I have called Best Western Hotels in Ipswich as they plan to go there this weekend but it's a 6hr round trip for me. They have not replied to my emails so may need to go to the bank and look at chargeback. I wish i had known about this site before spending over £800. They seem to have had great reviews on their website which looks to be a con.

RIP OFF! DO NOT USE.
Bought a corner sofa from one of their events where they feed you a load of rubbish on how cheap their furniture is. Paid £709 in full as they say you need to do this to order. Delivery will be 4 to 6 weeks.
DO NOT TRUST THEM. THEY ARE RIP OFF MERCHANTS.
After many phone calls with them not answering and numerous e mails they finally emailed to say the container had been delayed etc etc etc.
Long long story short...... ring your bank and get a chargeback because even if you cancel your order they reckon it will take 14 days just to process it.
Keep your money and buy from someone you can trust.

"This Company are SHOCKING"
Poor Customer Service and I wish I had known about this review site before placing an order.
My partner and I were wanting to get a nice rattan set but he wanted to see it first before ordering so when I saw the Facebook posts where they were holding events at local hotels we thought this was ideal.
We went to Lincoln and looked round the display options and found the perfect set.
When we spoke to the salesman to say we were interested he told us that delivery would be £60. I asked why this would be as the Facebook post clearly states same day delivery and free delivery. I luckily took a screenshot of this. He said that you have to live in a 28 mile radius of the event to get the set delivered to our door that day. Unfortunately we were around 30 miles so just out. This meant that it would cost us £60 and a 6 week wait for the set to get in to their warehouse.
I should have twigged that this meant it was coming from overseas but we really wanted this particular set so agreed to wait.
This was the end of May so we worked out that towards the end of June would be our delivery date. Due to my working arrangements I also requested that I be given a two week notice period so that I could arrange to work from home.
Therefore when the end of the 6 weeks arrived and I had not been contacted I emailed the customer services team to enquire as to what was happening.
I was then informed that our set had been damaged on the container. I did go back to them to ask whether they would have actually contacted us if I had not made contact first! However after some backwards and forwards I was offered an alternative set or wait another 6 weeks for the one we originally chose to arrive. I confirmed that the alternative was not what we wanted and therefore we would wait again but by this time it would be August before the set was due to arrive which was unacceptable so asked for a discount to be made. £30 was refunded back to us but was then told it would take 14 working days to process. No refund ever takes this long!!
We even had to chase this up as it was late being paid into the account.
I should mention that the new delivery date estimated to me would be another 6 weeks from our date on the correspondence. So when the 5th August came my partner emailed the office to enquire where the set was because we had not been contacted again. He was told that it was not due to arrive in the country until the end of August and it had to clear customs before they would contact us for delivery.
As you can probably imagine I was not best pleased so I wrote another email attached to the original thread enquiring why there was a delay and the fact that we had wanted the set for summer which would clearly have been and gone before it arrived was unacceptable. I asked for a response to my query in 48 hours. Due to it being the weekend I gave them until Tuesday morning and when I received no response I took to social media.
I didn’t rant or rave as I think people are more likely to respond to you if you complain in a subtle way. I checked the Facebook page and there wasn’t a facility to leave comments publicly so contacted them via messenger and tagged them in a post re poor service on Instagram as they could not delete that!
Funnily enough within an hour of my socials being posted I was contacted by customer services. I explained about the poor customer service we had received and at times deceit. I requested a full refund at no inconvenience to ourselves. If you read the small print on the order form it states they may cancel an order without fees being incurred however if we were to cancel a fee would be applicable.
It was confirmed that a full refund would be paid but again would have to wait 14 working days.
Once again we marked out the dates and low and behold the money did not arrive. I went back to messenger to chase this up and my partner received an email that day stating the money would be in his account- add a further three days to this and it has finally been paid.
I think if this company was up front and honest from the start we wouldn’t be feeling the way that we are. It also has tainted our trust in small companies that operate on the internet because you have to put your faith in them that they will not rip you off.
It is funny reading some of the reviews on here as my partner has said the same thing “let’s go and campaign outside the hotel in Lincoln so they know what rip off merchants they are”
My anger towards this company has now subsided and I was determined to bite my tongue and not post anything until we had our money back. I now just feel sad.
I think if you live close to the venue then there would not be any issues with this company, however living outside of the radius I would turn around and walk straight out. DO NOT make a purchase and go home.
