THE WORST EXPERIENCE EVER !!!!!!!!
Buyers beware if you want to receive damage goods, poor customer service, a warranty that counts for nothing and 6 weeks to get your money back this is the place to go. Avoid wish I had!
Being sold a furniture set costing more the £1,500 which came with a 5 year warranty I obviously expected too much when it arrived damaged. When they finally answered the phone I was insulted with a £20 good will gesture or a refund. Did I mention that it took 6 weeks for my refund to get back to me and they also said they did not have the money to refund me..... another insult!! I would not want anyone to go through what I went through but it sadly looks like this company practice this way to all customers. STAY AWAY

"Avoid this awful company"

Probably the worst customer experience I have ever experienced. I ordered on the 20th April and nearly 3 months on still no furniture and after some excuses about ships being delayed by a month ! due to bad weather !! a total lack of response from this company on when it could be delivered. Luckily I paid by credit card, so when I contacted the credit card company they were most helpful in starting the process of reclaiming my money - luckily it is their responsibility in cases like this,

Personally I would recommend anyone who paid in part or full by credit card to start their reclaim through that process as soon as possible, hopefully that will help to close this awful company down as soon as possible.

"HORRENDOUS EXPERIENCE, AVOID!"

We ordered a furniture set worth almost £1000 on the 20th April. The guy who we ordered with said that delivery would be 4-7 weeks but definitely no longer, we were prepared to wait because we had found a set that we liked.
It got to 7 weeks and I contacted them via email to ask where it was up to as we hadn't heard anything. I was told that the set was due to dock on 22nd June which was two weeks delayed. It was annoying to hear but again were prepared to wait. I then tried to call on the 27th June as we still hadn't been contacted. No-one was answering the phones, I tried facebook messenger still nothing. We managed to get hold of a contact number for a manager, who was rude from the start, but she got someone to call me back within two minutes to be told it was delayed and wouldn't be arriving until 7th July which would total 12 weeks.
We requested a refund by email, which as others have stated can take up to 14 working days. It reached the night before the deadline for this and still no money or proof that the refund had been processed. Again had to call numerous times on two phones before one of us got through... again only to the manager who again was rude and actually put the phone down on my partner. We unfortunately paid part cash and part debit card. We were told all the money would be put back in together, but when they eventually responded I was told to provide my details for the cash to go in and that it would go in the following day and immediately but the other part of the refund could take ANOTHER 5-7 working days. Each time they had reached the deadline, we have had to phone continuously and the only way to get a response was contacting the manager. They put calls straight through to voicemail so you cannot reach them, they do not respond to your voicemails. I resulted to messaging them on facebook again to ask where the refund was, and I was blocked from contacting them!
They block anyone who comments on their posts on social media (which speaks volumes). We have had the most stressful 2 months trying to get OUR money back - resulting in my partner having sleepless nights worrying about it.They are quick enough to demand it up front but will do anything not to give you your refund. They have zero customer service skills, and as for the manager... she needs a lesson or two in people skills and how to manage a team because she clearly isn't capable.
They showed no empathy for how we must be feeling and the fact that they were in the wrong and had such a large amount of our money and was making it so difficult for us. Not only that but we have had to make a ridiculous amount of phone calls, emails, facebook messages and they do not keep in contact with you at all. We have now had £250 back and are awaiting the rest... probably only because we informed them that we had been on to Trading Standards- I would recommend everyone else in the same position to contact them to stop this so call 'company' causing unnecessary stress for others! No doubt they will try to justify or play down their actions, but I think all of these reviews says it all!

"Jekyll and Hyde experience!!"

So, we ordered in early April from the Chester event and were told 6-8 weeks for delivery. The furniture arrived today, some three and a half months after placing the order. I've read the reviews and agree with many of the comments. It clearly isn't a scam though as we've got the suite we ordered and it's just as good as when we first tried it all those months ago! So, Alfresco Rattan, get your act together in terms of your customer service and you may have half a chance of surviving. I too would give you an absolute zero for customer service and updates as they are abysmal and, although I too was on the verge of cancelling our order, I'm glad I hung on as now it's finally here I'm really pleased with it! So to those still waiting, if you can hang on it might be worth the wait!

"AVOID THIS COMPANY!!!"

If There was an option to give no stars I would.
We ordered a furniture set on 24th May at a local hotel and was told my furniture would be delivered no later than the week commencing 24th June. I tried to ring the company all day on the 24th as I had not heard about a delivery date and there was no answer. I finally got through on the 25th June. The call was just answered with an “hello” which I found really strange. Alarm bells were definately ringing about this company. The girl who answered the call said she would ring me back with an update. She didnt. So I tried calling again and it took a few more hours of ringing before the call was finally answered. I was told that the shipment would not be in until the end of July so to expect in mid -late August. Obviously I had huge alarm bells now so just decided to cancel my order and request a refund. Which can only be done my emailing a request to cancel the order. Upon this being granted I was told that this would take 14 working days as they have to wait to get the money back from the supplier 🤔... so it was just a waiting game. So in total we waited a total of 17 days for our refund of almost £1200.
AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COST THEY ARE DISHONEST AND THERE CUSTOMER SERVICE IS APPAULING.

"Unfortunately I have to give this company one star..."

There isn't an option for zero!

Ordered a set (£1200) from the loughborough pop up event. We explained that we had renovated our garden and had our sons 2nd birthday party in 4 weeks time, so we could only order this set if delivery would be before his party. The chap said that delivery would not be a problem so LUCKILY I gave him an order on my credit card.

After a week of hearing absolutely nothing, no call, text or email I thought I would check some reviews online and was devastated to read scores and scores of horror stories.

I ordered a set of rattan furniture from reputable businesses immediately and then began hunting for a refund. Worth noting at this point that I had not signed the terms and conditions of business on their invoice, no on purpose, I just missed it, as did the salesman.

We called and asked for a refund and we were told that our items were going to be arriving in the country soon but would have to go through customs and only the dining set is on the container. We asked to proceed with our cancellation and were told that we would be charged a £25 administration fee per Ts and Cs. I explained that I had not signed the agreement however the lady on the phone said that by paying for the items, I had entered their contract... I need not say anymore on that matter!

We emailed asking for the refund and was told that we had to wait 14 working days. I called on the 14th working day and was told, "because of the way that you paid, there is no money in an account to refund you"

At this point I ceased communication with this "company" and pursued a claim with my bank. This process was swift and professional.

Folks please avoid these people like the plague! They will be on rogue traders soon enough!

"Atrocious customer service!"

I ordered furniture on the 19th May 2019 following a show exhibition at a local hotel. The furniture looked really nice and good quality, so I ordered it, paying over £1000 for the product. I was advised that the furniture can be expected between 4-6 weeks. I’m now in my 9th week and still no furniture.

I have been emailing back and forth for the last email to advise that I could expect a delivery after they have “found some stock”. That was 2 weeks ago and that I would be contacted within the week to arrange delivery. I’m still waiting for the call.

I’ve tried calling at least 10 times, only to be greeted with a voicemail with no indication that I have even hit the correct voicemail. Despite leaving four voicemails, I have not had any calls returned neither.

I wrote a complaint letter over a week ago and haven’t had a reply from that neither! Customer service is absolutely atrocious.

I feel at my wits end, I’m very upset and frustrated as I have no idea what’s going on and feel like £1000+ of my money has been taken and I’ve been conned! I’m in half mind to cancel my order and take my business elsewhere, but how am I supposed to when I cannot get hold of anyone?!

I would not recommend purely on customer service alone - how I can review a product that I haven’t even had?!

"Went to Tewin Park Farm display"

Went to Tewin Park Farm display. Bought 9 piece dining set also a Lounger set. Was told delivery would be 2 to 3 weeks. Saturday order placed Wednesday had a phone call to say they were going to deliver all the items on Friday afternoon. Everything arrived as promised. Very happy with the service and also the prices. Thank you. Brian C.

"AVOID AVOID AVOID"

We went to the Epsom racecourse pop up show yesterday to look at 2 items of furniture after I phoned the company on the Friday afternoon and were told they would both be there (Windsor set and a right hand facing Ascot set) when we got there they only had a left hand facing, we spoke to the salesman and told him we were after a right hand facing Ascot set. He checked the stock level on his phone and said he would check and make a call just to double check, which he did in front of us, He said he would do it for the same price as the one at the show it would be brand new and boxed and would get it delivered the next day, the furniture arrived today (next day) and in perfect condition, thank you so much to the salesman who was so honest. We have since had a new deck area built as the furniture just didn’t sit right and when we put the furniture on the new decking we realised it’s the furniture that was twisted. On contacting the company we were told they were not going to do nothing as we didn’t report it in 48 hours of delivery so we have spent £999 for a pile of rubbish, Avoid this company as they only want you Money and it appears nothing is covered in the 12 months guarantee
