Once they have your money service level zero ,I could write all day on the issues down to them on this trip

We booked a cruise and stay holiday with this company and the booking side was brilliant, especially Ian who was very helpful. The cruise cost us just over £13k. It was a back-to-back Caribbean cruise with 2 nights in Miami. Our flight was delayed from Heathrow and we never took off until after 4pm. So it was fairly late when we arrived at the Kimpton Anglers Hotel. When we checked in the hotel clerk asked for a credit card swipe as a "security deposit" The rooms they tried to give us were in like an annex and were disgusting. One was quite small and had a sofa and TV and a circular staircase to the bedroom upstairs. So we went back and complained about the room and the clerk said well that's all you're entitled to with the rate you paid. Only when I said okay I will call Loveitbookit tomorrow, he said "Let me see what I can do" We then got a better room within the main part of the hotel.
Once we joined the cruise we noticed on the credit card account 2 x £65 charges—one for each room. I couldn't do anything at the time but thought we would sort it out on our return. I contacted LoveitBookit to complain about it and to see if they could get it back. Customer services informed me that someone would be in touch and eventually someone did, a chap called Adam. He said he would look into it but came back with a lame excuse that sometimes these companies charge a tourist tax etc etc. I have been travelling to the USA regularly since 1990. I have indeed paid tourist tax but only when I walk in off the street or have booked directly with the hotel but never in a prepaid package. Despite several attempts to explain to LB that we were not happy and didn't accept that excuse. So we will not be booking with them again I'm afraid.
EDIT: I have seen the response below and it's a text book reply. I agreed that I paid resort fees and taxes on hotels booked by me but not on package holiday hotels and this was a package holiday. We had no choice where we stayed, they chose that and if it wasn't a bit underhand, why didn't the deck clerk say that's what the charge was going to be. Instead he said it was for a "security deposit". Which was obviously a lie.

I have just recently booked a cruise and stay holiday with LoveitBookit. I spoke to Mark who is absolutely amazing and very friendly. I had a lot of questions, ringing back and forth to Mark several times during the call and he was so patient, helpful and informative.
I will definitely ring Mark again for future cruises.
