"Moldy food and horrible customer service! Yami doesn't care about food safety!"
I would give the company 0 star if I could. I purchased some "flower cakes" a few days ago, knowing that the expiration date is August 4, 2024. My son and I ate 2/3 of cakes yesterday before I saw the mold inside. I immediately posted a review on the product listing, attached a photo of the moldy cake and asked people not to buy it. I then emailed the customer service.
I've been having stomach cramps since last night!
The customer service replied today and here is the response: sorry for the inconvenience. We issued a refund for the product. I cannot believe they downplayed the issue so shamelessly! It's a lot more than an "inconvenience". It is a food safety issue and a food poisoning case!
I then checked the product listing and it's still being sold. I also realized that I can only see my review when I log into their app or website. My friends and other people cannot see it. I cannot believe Yami hid my review and is still selling the product!
I will never purchase from Yamibuy again! Please stay away from it!

"What a corrupted company"
What a corrupted company, they allow third party selling totally spoiled mooncake products (with large area of mold on the surface) to their customer. They one hundred percent already knew the spoiled state of the products for many days, probably after receiving a lot of complaints from many people buying them due to the big sale, yet they still allow them continue to be listed on the website with a 75% off sale on going for a long time. This is a totally corrupted immoral company, with blatant business fraud, for a bloody last penny it could completely disregard public health. This type of food should be destroyed immediately and the company should ban the third party selling the products immediately after a first legit complaint, according to government food safety law and regulation. Yet for the last bloody dirty penny, the disgusting company still allows them selling on their website, with the 75% off as a trap.
What an immoral dishonest company!

Avoid.. keep cancelling my order for no reason.. waste of time.. they automatically refunded me back with the less amount that I originally paid for. I want to attach pictures but unable to here.. bad customer service.. be warn.. SCAM.
I guess they don't like do business. Don't trust this company.

Like others have said, yami is outstanding. The dates posted are production dates and not expiration dates. The website is super easy to use, great pricing and has super fast shipping. I will be ordering for the foreseeable future. Also idk with all of the cc stuff on here. Try Apple Pay. It’s 2024 in 3 weeks.

New customer, I signed up for Yami mainly for Japanese drug store beauty items. I ordered on Black Friday evening 11/24, and all 6 items arrived on 11/26 Sunday evening! Very happy with their online chat, even though it's a small purchase US$60 (for 6 items) , I received a welcome discount code email 5 mins after I placed my order, so I did a live chat trying to ask if I still qualify to use the 10% off, customer service J Tina replied :
"J Tina (11/24/2023, 6:31:07 PM): As an exception, we can issue a $6.08 refund for the price difference. After your order is shipped out, it will be back to the original payment method in 3-5 business days. " Excellent customer service, fast and efficient, I already received the refund on 11/26 morning, and all the goods on 11/26 evening :)
I usually order my J Beauty or K Beauty items from YesStyle in Hong Kong, but it takes up to 22 days for the shipment which is a bit long for the wait.
Very happy with the experience in Yami, thank you and will order more items soon!!

When I contacted customer support live chat and provided solid proof (the QR code on the product was scanning as fake) - the support agent was trying to argue with me that it's real. They kept replying in chinese even though I was responding only in English. Really unprofessional and take no responsibility for the fake products. Finally, the agent just said they will contact the seller and ended the chat. No apologies, just upright rude, critical, and tried to gaslight me into thinking I was wrong.
For such a big platform to blatantly sell fake products, they should be shut down!!

"Yami canceling orders without reasoning"
As pointed out by a few previous reviewers, Yami emailed me saying that they "encountered some issues while processing my order" and needed "a photo of my credit card". I sent them as they requested but received (very quickly, perhaps a bot?) another email saying "We had to cancel your order because your payment could not be processed" - no further reason or explanation was given. If they would need more information, I would have been happy to furnish them. But no, they just canceled my order.
Update: When inquired about the reason, they simply said "There are many factors causing an order to be held for further payment verification. When it triggers one of the factors, order have high risk, it will need further verification. Unfortunately, we are unable to check the exact reason.
If you still need the items in this order, we would advise to place a new one using a different payment method" - perhaps customers should test all payment methods to find one that works

I order few times because I love their product BUT every time I order drink and snacks in the same time the drink are on the top of the boxe.

"Pretty Decent"
I ordered a box from Yami Buy with a lot of variety, including fragile items like glass bottles.
Everything arrived in a timely manner, (within three days) and it came in good condition with albeit very little packaging.
However, nothing was broken and I am excited to try some unique Asian snacks. From what I have tried so far, the sweet potato Kit Kats are a standout. Yami Buy exceeded my expectations with how quickly it arrived and the accuracy of the order, but they do need to work on their packaging for more fragile items.
4.5 stars.

"Very bad experience, waste of time"
Use YAMIBUY, only if you have plenty of time to waste without getting frustrating.
Twice happened already! They charged me for the product I purchased on the same day, then I realized I didn't receive anything after a few days passed. Went to my Yami account, saw my order has been canceled! Without any note of the reason. I called them and they said they sent out a notification email which I need to respond within 48 hours. Tell me who will be expecting to have a normal online purchase which the money is gone from my card, but I should expect additional step like sending them the photo of my credit card, otherwise the money is charged but your order is cancelled. REALLY?
Huh, is it over kill? What makes more sense to me is: do their additional clarification ( if they really think it is necessary? ) , but not before charging me anything. I am very interested in knowing if they are allowed to do it at all ( take money out of my card, then cancel my order ).
